Is Visual Source Safe part of VS 2010? - visual-studio-2010

Is Visual Source Safe part of VS 2010? I am unable to find Visual Source Safe so I was thinking of downloading VS2010 if it was a part of it.

SourceSafe has been discontinued. The last version was released in 2005.
If you have access to a MSDN Subscription you can download Visual SourceSafe 2005!

I have done a lot of research and concluded that
Visual Source is genuinely available from two sources only:
1) MSDN Subscription
2) CD from Microsoft - Buy a MS Visual Sourcesafe CD from Microsoft retail.
There ia no other way to get a genuine copy of MS Sourcesafe I am afraid!

Visual Studio 2015 Professional and Visual SourceSafe (VSS)

I have a need to sync up with a legacy source control which is using VSS.
I cannot find any documentation on how to get/enable VSS in Visual Studio 2015 Professional (from MSDN license).
I have looked at the dropdown in the Source Control menu, under Tools -> Options, and the only plugins that exist there are Microsoft Git Provider, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, and None.
FYI - I found this: http://www.dynamsoft.com/blog/version-control-how-to/how-to-connect-visual-studio-2013-to-visual-sourcesafe/
Seems this is a viable solution (although it is only a 30 day trial). Will mark as answer unless a free way is provided.
Install the SourceSafe patch below to enable Visual Studio to display SourceSafe in its Tools|Source Control Plug-in list

Visual Sourcesafe in VS2013

I have Visual Studio 2013 and I have a number of projects in Visual Studio Online, but I still have some old projects that are in Visual Source Safe. It works fine on two pcs but we have a third that when you try to set you source control Visual Source Safe does not show up.
Doe anyone have any ideas on how to add Visual Source Safe to VS 2013 so it will show as a choice in the dropdown.
According to Microsoft support:
Visual Source Safe is no more is an active product and its no surprise
if the plugin is not available in Visual Studio 2013 as Microsoft
stopped supporting it long ago and its replaced by Team Foundation
Server. If you are still using Visual Source Safe, its recommended to
upgrade to Team Foundation Server.
You can use Team Foundation Server Express (up to 5 users) for free
and use the Visual SourceSafe Upgrade Tool to import your project
directly into TFS. Or buy a full server from $400 and up.
Alternatively, you can open a Visual Studio Online account (free for 5
users) and migrate your sources to the cloud. You can add additional
users for a monthly license fee.
If you are an MSDN subscriber or Microsoft Partner, your subscription
might actually include a full TFS license.

Update : I've found that you have to install the VSS after VS2013 on your system. please reinstall it.

The difference between Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Web Developer 2010 Express?

What is the difference between purchasing Visual Studio 2010 Express, and downloading Visual Web Developer 2010 Express?
Although I created a company website using Visual Web Developer 2010 Express (I love this product!), I'm not an experienced programmer. But I'm wondering if Visual Studio 2010 Express is just as good, or better, and if it will do the same things as VWD.
I just can't google any good links that compares the two.
Microsoft has it:

and Definition of
Microsoft Visual Studio Express - Wikipedia
Just click on learn more in each product to see their differences.
Regards
On the "Visual Studio Express 2010" disk VS2010Express.iso which I downloaded from Microsoft it turned out that Visual Studio Express consist of:
Visual C#,
Visual Basic,
Visual C++,
"Visual Web developer".
So to answer the original question here I think that Visual Web developer is one part of the whole disk called Visual Studio. But don't go there if you do not have to:
I am currently upgrading from Visual Studio 2008 because of the bug in .Net 2.0 / 3.5 related to not being able to work with (not recognizing) Internet Explorer 10, but now I get bugs related to App_GlobalResources. The whole Globalization function just does not work anymore. I am in a Hackathon nightmare of 48 hours trying to survive. I think that MS wanted to get you all on board with the free express edition but it is payback time now. I think I am going back to Uniface which is upward compatible. Once again, there is no such thing as free!!!

Can i use Team Explorer 2010 with Visual Studio 2008?

I think the title is very clear, but also i want to say why:
I already downloaded TFS 2010 and Team explorer 2010, but i'm still using VS2008 (with no short-time plans to change)
My question, can i use those toghether?
Also, my VS is just the professional version. I don't want to download the TE2008 because for my internet conection, it is just too big.
Thanks in advance
The 2010 client is backwards compatible with 2008 servers (though not 2005). Details: http://blogs.msdn.com/teams_wit_tools/archive/2009/10/19/compatibility-matrix-for-2010-beta-2-team-foundation-server-to-team-explorer-2008-and-2005.aspx
However, it will not integrate inside the VS2008 shell. If you want full source control integration you'll need to download TE2008 + SP1.

Visual Studio 2010 Team Explorer

I just installed VS2010 and I want to connect to TFS, But I don't have any team explorer options.
I searched for Team Explorer and I found this link that states that Team Explorer comes preinstalled in VS2010 Team Suit.
I downloaded VS2010 Pro and don't have team explorer and can't find it anywhere.
Any ideas? Tips?
Thanks
I think there's been a misunderstanding down MS naming conventions.
All versions of Visual Studio 2010 have the ability to conenct to TFS built in, there is no longer a separate install (what was previously called Team Explorer).
What the Ultimate edition gets with what is now called Team Explorer (codename Eaglestone) is a standalone rich client for accessing TFS.
If you downloaded VS2010 Pro...you didn't download a version that came with Team Explorer. You need to re-download VS2010 Team System. You can grab it from MSDN or download it from:
Visual Studio 2010 Team System Beta 1 Download
UPDATE
As of Beta 2, Microsoft renamed versions a little. TFS Connectivity is now included with 'Ultimate'.
It looks like Team Explorer is also available as a separate download. The VS 2010 Beta 2 version is here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=CA86215B-A824-44E7-B4C3-982C7ECEA46D&displaylang=en
The RTM version of Team Explorer is here: Microsoft Visual Studio Team Explorer 2010 - ISO
VS2010 Pro is a different release from VS2010 Team Suit and it doesn't contain anything that has to do with TFS. If you want to connect to TFS you need to get the VS2010 Team Suit release.
This has been the norm ever since VS2005.
You can download Visual Studio Team Explorer (or the command line tools) from the following:
Team Explorer 2013
Team Explorer 2012
Microsoft Visual Studio Team Explorer Everywhere 2010
Team Explorer 2008
Team Explorer 2005
