This is in regards to the sample: msal-web-sample-0.1.0
I am using tomcat 9 and maven to build and run the msal-web-sample code. It is building fine and running, loading spring, etc. I am able to go out and get a username and passowrd login. However, when it tries to return back to my system (https://localhost:8443/msal4jsample/secure/aad) it just has a bit "ERROR PAGE!" heading with Home Page link going back to the main tomcat page.
In the tomcat runtime it has:
2021-06-29 15:28:06.108 ERROR 6360 --- [io-8443-exec-10] o.s.b.w.servlet.support.ErrorPageFilter : Cannot forward to error page for request [/secure/aad] as the response has already been committed. As a result, the response may have the wrong status code. If your application is running on WebSphere Application Server you may be able to resolve this problem by setting com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.invokeFlushAfterService to false
Of course, that doesn't apply to my setup.
I see the get in the logs returning back OK and don't see any errors on startup. I am at a loss as to where to go from here. Any thoughts?
Also, is there a non-spring implementation that can be used with java but still using MSAL?
Thanks
Alan
Please share additional information about the error. Do you have trouble regrading AAD? Check your environmental settings (Tomcat) if this isn't the case.
I've got a working basic Java App that uploads some data to a google sheets file of mine.
I uploaded it to a git client, pulled it to my other computer, and it doesn't work on that with a 401

Any idea what could be different between the two machines? I understand it that if I'm using the same client_secret.json, it should be irrelevant which machine I'm on?
UDPATE 1:
ok, some extra info - i just tried my project at work on my work laptop and it worked fine! On first run it opened a browser window and asked me which google account I wanted to use, I chose the correct one, and that worked. On the laptop I have that didn't work, I wasn't given that option (that I remember) so how can I reset the google account that has been used to authenticate against?
I saw this in my cmd line
Please open the following address in your browser:
https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth?access_type=offline&client_id=blah-notputtingmyrealid.apps.googleusercontent.com&redirect_uri=http://localhost:42299/Callback&response_type=code&scope=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets
Attempting to open that address in the default browser now...
Since it's working on your previous computer, the issue might be concerning the location of your client_secret.json. If you check the Java Quickstart setup, there's a part where you need to download the JSON file and place it on your working directory. Since, you're on a new machine, that file is now missing.
g. Click the file_download (Download JSON) button to the right of the
client ID.
h. Move this file to your working directory and rename it
client_secret.json.
Or the access token has expired.
I have an issue with FileNet-p8:
All simply, I do not have access to a WorkFlow already designed. I have always a popup asking me to authenticate , I use the same Login/psw to access to the Workplace. But always I get the same message :
Unable to get the configuration file WcmApiConfig.properties
I'm workin with the IBM JVM 1.6 and the Firefox browser.
Thanks.
In our environment, you must use IE in order to avoid that error message. We have not been able to get FireFox to work with WorkplaceXT or PCC.
Even when launching PCC from ACCPE we need to use IE.
If you see the login screen, don't even bother with your credentials. It simply will not work.
After Successful completion of deployment status of my Java EE application (Spring ) in Openshift through Eclipse, 404 error page is shown on launching "http://closerbyapp-closerbyonline.rhcloud.com/closerbyapp" url.
Any help to Sort out this problem is highly appreciated.
Did you actually deploy an application at the closerbyapp context? the root context (/) of your application is working and showing the default index.html page that comes with the java cartridges. You should double-check how/where you put your code, and that you added it to git, and what url it should show up at. Maybe provide some of the code you used or steps that you took to deploy the code so we can help troubleshoot it? Along with any logs for your application that might be helpful.
When I right mouse click on the References folder in the Solution Explorer window and selecct "Add Package Reference Library", I get teh error
The package source named "NuGet official package source https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=206669 is eiether invalid or not available and thus is unreachable"
When I use IE directly to access this URL, I am redirected to http://packages.nuget.org/v1/FeedService.svc/ and see an XML response.
I suspect that my company's security is preventing me from accessing this site. I'd like to request that they make an exception. What specifically should I request that would enable me to access it?
And similarly, I would like to access the Extnsion Manager functionality from within VS but I get a more vague "An error occured error" ..
This seems to be a known issue with NuGet. I've been getting the same error and I updated to the latest version of NuGet but still get the error when using the proxy, but everything works when the proxy is disabled. I'm not sure when they will have this resolved.
