I'm trying to install Sencha-Cmd-6.0.2.14 in xUbuntu.
I downloaded SenchaCmd-6.0.2-linux-amd64.sh.zip and unzipped it to my desktop.
I installed Java by executing sudo apt-get install default-jdk -y.
Then I executed ./SenchaCmd-6.0.2.14-linux-amd64.sh. The installation window appeared and I successfully went through the process.
Upon completion, I typed in sencha at the command prompt but I got a command not found error.
Sencha is probably not in your $PATH, I'm not sure where it installs but probably somewhere in your home directory. Make sure the Sencha install directory is not in your $PATH by issueing the following command in your terminal
echo $PATH
Assuming you use bash and sencha is now your $PATH, add, for example, this to your ~/.bashrc
export PATH=$PATH:~/sencha/cmd/6.0.2.14/bin
You need to find the correct path yourlself. That should do the trick.

I am trying to follow these installation instructions:
https://www.thomasvanhoey.com/post/installing-openpose-on-mac-october-2020-version/
for installing OpenPose on Mac.
I have a Mac M1, running Big Sir. When I try to do step 3, and run this in terminal: (I'm in the openpose folder that was created when I installed CMake, where there is a 3rdparty folder)
bash 3rdparty/osx/install_deps.sh
I get:
No such file or directory
also step 4 doesn't work, i run this in the command line in terminal:
~~protoc src/caffe/proto/caffe.proto --cpp_out=. mkdir include/caffe/proto mv src/caffe/proto/caffe.pb.h include/caffe/proto~~
I get
zsh: command not found: ~~protoc
Does anyone know why I am getting these errors? I "Cloned the repository in the target folder". I "Install CMake GUI" the old fashioned way. I ran and it installed.
brew install caffe
Thnx
Replace with: bash scripts/osx/install_deps.sh
The file to be executed is install_deps.sh. When I perform $ find . -name osx it is found in openpose/scripts/. So just run bash scripts/osx/install_deps.sh.
i tried using shortcuts. i wanted to run scripts there, but i constantly get an error that the brew utility was not found. it feels like the scripts run in isolation.
i tried use
brew link php
eval 'brew link php'
sh fileWithMyScript.sh
and always got error. how to fix it?
The brew command is not in macOS default PATH. You will either have to use the full path to the command or set PATH before calling the command:
/opt/homebrew/bin/brew link php
PATH=$PATH:/opt/homebrew/bin brew link php
PATH=$PATH:/opt/homebrew/bin cd ~/utils && sh php_8.1.sh
Use a different directory than /opt/homebrew/bin if homebrew is installed elsewhere.
I installed python environment by means of commands:
SYS_INSTALL="apt-get install -y"
PIP_INSTALL="pip install"
# Be sure to install setuptools before pip to properly replace easy_install.
$SYS_INSTALL git
$SYS_INSTALL python-dev
$SYS_INSTALL python-setuptools
$SYS_INSTALL python-pip
$PIP_INSTALL virtualenv
also was able to create new virtual environment:
virtualenv .env
However, after running a command like:
. .env/bin/activate
I got
-bash: .env/bin/activate: No such file or directory
After reviewing folder .env/bin I found only one python file. Whole list of files here:
.env/lib:
python2.7
.env/include:
python2.7
.env/bin:
python
What is the issue here?
SOLUTION add --always-copy
virtualenv .env --always-copy
For me it works when I do these steps:
Go to the directory/folder that you want
run virtualenv .env
then run source .env/bin/activate
The accepted answer is incomplete! The suggested code left out your error, but didn't comment on it.
The command . .env/bin/activate would indeed do the same as source on the file activate in the folder .env/bin. In fact, apparently the command "source" is an alias for the command ".", and not the other way around. Note that . here has a space after it, and used differently from the . discussed below (which makes files and folders hidden).
What I notice is that you are calling your folder .env, which is not standard practice. Files and folders preceded by . are made "hidden" by Mac OS X. Standard practice is to call a virtual environment directory env or venv, and to call the virtual environment specification file .env.
So, if your spec file is called .env and your virtual environment directory is called env, you can run either
source env/bin/activate
or
. env/bin/activate.
I had the same issue and the following steps resolved it:
$mkdir annotateNLP
$cd annotateNLP
$python -m venv env
$source env/Scripts/activate
Try these commands in the terminal:
$ mkdir djangoapp
$ cd djangoapp
$ python3 -m venv myvenv
$ source myvenv/bin/activate
You can't go straight into activate command without first creating your virtual environment.
you forgot to include source before activating command is
source env/bin/activate
this question is similar to your's
virtualenv is not compatible with this system or executable
where it creates virtualenv but,python file instead of activate in bin
After going to your virtual environment folder .\Scripts\activate.
In my case, I need to install
sudo apt-get install python3-venv
$ virtualenv env
$ cd env/Scripts/
$ . activate
I was facing this same issue. I uninstalled the virtualenv in Ubuntu and then I installed it again. After this nonsense, it works and now I am able to activate my virtualenv through -$source py3/bin/activate.
If installed venv on a Windows machine, run this command (assuming you are in the working directory that has your venv folder):
In bash terminal: source venv/Scripts/activate
In cmd terminal:
venv\Scripts\activate
where venv is the folder name for your virtual environment
For windows using git bash, run the below command:-
source env\Scripts\activate
I am working on Windows 10. I want to run a "make build" in MINGW64 but following error comes up:
$ make build
bash: make: command not found
I want to build Glide for Golang
I tried following:
$ sudo yum install build-essential
bash: sudo: command not found
As well as:
$ yum install build-essential
bash: yum: command not found
And:
$ apt-cyg build-essential
bash: apt-cyg: command not found
How can I "work-around" this problem?
Go to ezwinports, https://sourceforge.net/projects/ezwinports/files/
Download make-4.2.1-without-guile-w32-bin.zip (get the version
without guile)
Extract zip
Copy the contents to C:\ProgramFiles\Git\mingw64\ merging the folders, but do NOT overwrite/replace any exisiting files.
You can also use Chocolatey.
Having it installed, just run:
choco install make
When it finishes, it is installed and available in Git for Bash / MinGW.
You have to install mingw-get and after that you can run mingw-get install msys-make to have the command make available.
Here is a link for what you want http://www.mingw.org/wiki/getting_started
We can't use the 'make' command on windows and we don't get it preinstalled with MINGW. So to use it, you need to download it first. The steps are as follows-
Go to https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/postdownload and download it.
After the installation is over, go and check if bin folder is present in the directory of MINGW .
If everything works well till now, change the environment variables- go to settings of your laptop and type Environment variables. Go to it's section and click on 'environment variables' at the end.
On the section where 'path' is written, add a new file - the location of the bin file and save.
Install make by typing the following on mingw command line :
mingw-get install mingw32-make
Now make is installed. To use it in command line just write "mingw32-make" in place of "make".
Try using cmake itself.
In the build directory, run:
cmake --build .
Go to downloads of jmeubank.github.io/tdm/gcc : https://jmeubank.github.io/tdm-gcc/download/
Download 64+32-bit MinGW-w64 edition.
Run the .exe file.
Click on Remove if you have tdm-gcc already.
Then Click on Create to install tdm-gcc.
Complete the installation.
Add path to environment variable if not added automatically.
Now run mingw32-make on your terminal / command prompt.
Hope this works
You have to install make first. Run any of the below commands and it will work.
pip install make
OR
conda install make
I am new with Symfony and I cannot manage to install it on my MAC book pro (version 10.9.5).
I go the the Terminal and execute this code (as explained but in a folder "symphony" I created in MyDocuments):
MacBook-Pro-de-Sophie:~ sophiejarlier$ cd Documents
MacBook-Pro-de-Sophie:Documents sophiejarlier$ sudo curl -LsS https://symfony.com/installer -o /symfony
MacBook-Pro-de-Sophie:Documents sophiejarlier$
But nothing has been installed, the folder symphony is empty... Should I install something else before? I am lost...
Thanks for your help.
You are new in terminal also. What you done is just you downloaded symfony installer in your main root directory / where is main stuff like /var, /usr etc.
You forgotten the installation part.
Move your symfony installer (just downloaded) using :
$ sudo mv /symfony /usr/local/bin/symfony
Give execution permissions :
$ sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/symfony
Then, go (open a terminal) in your webserver directory (default /Library/WebServer/Documents).
And do your install by executing the following command :
$ symfony new name_of_your_project
Your project is created in the folder name_of_your_project of your current directory.
