I have an ADF project in 10g, and i want to migrate it to 11g
i am getting the following errors:

any help would be appreciated
I have got rid of the error after i removed the security roles from the ViewController and Model, in the web.xml files.

Here is a screenshot of my tomcat spring boot error log. How do I read this?
Specifically,
1.) where do I read there is says "63 more"?
2.) Is the top-most error the most generic, or most specific? I'm thinking most generic because it says "caused by" and then another error.
Thanks.
First, get destination of log (console, file, database, ...) by find information in:
application.properties (for example: spring.log.**** = ...)
or log4j.properties/log4j.yml/log4j.yaml (if using log4j)
or log4j2.properties/log4j2.yml/log4j2.yaml (if using log4j2)
or logback.properties/logback.yml (if using logback)
and then you can get "63 more" there
It's the most specific
most specific error <== root cause is here
^ cause by: generic error
^ cause by: generic error
...
^ cause by: most generic error
The first line contains the exact reason for the error, such as this:
java.lang.NullPointerException
abc.def.ghi.handleRequest(MyController.java:30)
...
The more you go down, the more information you get about the root cause. Usually you can find the cause at the bottom of the log message containing the stack trace. In your case, the cause for the exception is "No converter found capable of converting from type ...".
kibana 4 gives an error "Discover: An error occurred with your request. Reset your inputs and try again" 80% of the time when I try to sort by a numeric field. It works fine when sorted by any other field. Did anyone get this issue?
I had this when I had added a sequence number in logstash to index (because several logs could be added in the same millisecond, causing the sort not to show the ordering correctly).
If you open up firefox debugger and view the console, it will show you more information related to the error. In my case
java.lang.Long cannot be cast to org.apache.lucene.util.BytesRef
I added
{ "unmapped_type": "number" }
into the advance settings - sort:options. It returns sorted data correctly but appears to throw a yellow warning.
Yes. I had that issue and opening the browser's javascript console helped me to see that a non-JSON document was the problem. Apparently, you can store non-JSON in elasticsearch (at least I can with 1.6.2). That creates problems with Kibana.
So: Open the browser's console, look for "error parsing body" or smth similar. You should also get the faulty string. Use that to identify to culprit document.
I am getting the following error when running the report. Any idea why? This is a report which was working earlier but not sure what changed and it stopped working.

I resolved the problem by removing the ORACLE_REF_CURSOR argument from procedure call within the Jasper report.
The procedure call was like {call procedure1($P{param1}, $P{ORACLE_REF_CURSOR})} when it was throwing the above error. After removing the ORACLE_REF_CURSOR argument from the call, its working now. Here is how the procedure call looks like{call procedure1($P{param1})} in the report.
Funny thing is that the report was working before with the ORACLE_REF_CURSOR in the argument of the procedure, but suddenly started throwing the above error.
If somebody has more explanation on this problem then do please update the answer.
I am debugging a website built on the WebForms model, using ASP, C# as codebehind, and SQL Express 2008 R2. I am trying to debug a page that uses an ASPxGridView, which is populated from the .aspx file, and the dataset is uses is created there as well. The data is selected using
SelectCommand="SELECT MachineID, ProgramNo, (CONVERT (VARCHAR(19), Start, 120)) as Start,(CONVERT (VARCHAR(12), Stop,114)) as StopTime, WorkCount, PartCount as TotalWorkCount,(CONVERT (VARCHAR(12), Stop-start,114)) as PartCycle FROM Program WHERE (MachineID = #MachineID) AND (WorkCount > 0) AND (CONVERT (VARCHAR(19), Start, 120) >= #StartDate) AND (CONVERT (VARCHAR(10), Start, 120) <= #EndDate) order by Start Desc">
The problem is that most users can login and the page works perfectly, but a few users see the following error in the web browser:
A field or property with name 'PartCycle' was not found in the selected data source. Possible causes of this error may be the following: an incorrect or case-insensitive spelling of the grid column name; assigning a wrong or not properly initialized data source to the grid.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

As you can see, PartCycle is not a column in the tables, but is used as an alias for (CONVERT (VARCHAR(12), Stop-start,114)). To put a twist in the plot, I can view the problem data just fine when I am logged into the site as an Administrator. The users who see this error have various ASPNET Roles, but each have access to the data in the tables selected.
Its because ASPxGridView Caches the Columns.
In your case, your datasource is dynamic i.e. different for different users.
Make sure to Clear the Columns before binding ASPxGridView.
To Clear the Columns:
agvObject.Columns.Clear();
I saved my column permutation info into a table. This information can be reloaded in beforeRequest event:
mynewperm = {....};
myGrid.jqGrid("remapColumns", mynewperm, true);
The columns are reordered correctly. However I lost the header icon. Now if I click any column header, I can not see
the sort icon anymore, then can not sort any column. How can I get it back?
Thank you,
yh
if you are able to change the code, you could test for an undefined of a.grid.headers[a.p.lastsort].
In the source file it could look like this:
// old
var previousSelectedTh = ts.grid.headers[ts.p.lastsort].el
// new:
var previousSelectedTh = ts.grid.headers[ts.p.lastsort] ? ts.grid.headers[ts.p.lastsort].el : null
Indeed if you look at the jquery.jqGrid.src.js source, the line is:
var previousSelectedTh = ts.grid.headers[ts.p.lastsort].el, newSelectedTh = ts.grid.headers[idxcol].el;
Line #1982 in my version. I fixed it by modifying the file and added this just before that line:
if (ts.p.lastsort < 0) // johnl.
ts.p.lastsort = 0;
The problem was that ts.p.lastsort was -1.
I've just managed to fix this issue myself but not using the methods described above. I was receiving the following error message when trying to sort columns in a jqgrid:
TypeError: a.grid.headers[a.p.lastsort] is undefined js/jqgrid/jquery.jqGrid.min.js?1.4:86
I should note that it was Firebug that produced this error message. Our company develops web applications for Chrome but Chrome's Javascript console produced a very uninformative error message:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'el' of undefined
After stripping out all but the jqGrid declaration on the page causing the issue, it transpired that removing the "multiSelect" option declaration for the jqGrid solved the issue. Apparently, declaring this option causes an additional hidden column to be added into the grid rendered which enables users to select multiple grid rows at a time. I'm not exactly sure why this caused an issue but after consultation with the programming director here our best guess is that there is a for loop somewhere in the jqGrid library code which is called when column sorting is applied and the loop is not taking into account this extra column which results in it not being defined.
Strange answer to a strange issue but hopefully this will help somebody out in future and save them around 3 hours of debugging!
I've the same issue :
It append to me since i apply the "remapColumns" method in the "loadComplete" event (i get back user column configuration from a cookie).
So when I try to sort a column nothing happen. I got this error in firebug :
a.grid.headers[a.p.lastsort] is undefined -> jquery.jqGrid.min.js (line 93)
maybe it will be helpful to find what the problem is
Thank you
