How to put an image with proper scale from TImageList source with different scales of images into image in TListView?
You should set properties Images and ImageIndex. The scale will be selected automatically. See ImageListDemo.dproj

I just received the XD file from the designer, now am trying to extract the nav area image from the canvas but image is too spread out from the canvas how it can be cropped to the area of the nav.
Use Adobe Photoshop To Resize them to Fit Original image
or
if you want part of image you can use one of image magnify plugins first
they will fit image to canvas
then use export
Also you can use Web Export Plugins
There is requirement where parsys should be added on top of an image. It is like a background image with the provision of parsys so that other components can be dragged and dropped on top of it. I am using html5smartimage for image component. But, no clue yet on how I can get the parsys on top of the image. Please help if you find any ideas. Thanks.
is the image authorable? If so, how do you intend to provide click-area for the authors to change the image vs edit items in the parsys.
If the image isn't authorable, just target the CSS for your parsys and set the image.
If the image is authorable, in edit mode you want the image to be distinct from the parsys and have separate clickable areas. Then in preview/disabled modes you would generate the actually desired markup & CSS to position the parsys content over the background image.
Whenever I add an image using the image widget in ImpressPages 4.2.5, the image is resized to the actual width of the parent container. However, as I use a responsive design, I need the image in full resolution. Otherwise, the images will look blurry on high dpi screens (e.g. Smartphones or Retina screens).
Is there a way to prevent the image widget from resizing the images?
Try to increase the image size in theme options (theme.json).
Another option is to create a new skin for that widget to output original image and not resized one. Here's an article about skins - http://www.impresspages.org/docs/widgets#skin
We have got a view of a content type with an image and some fields, but the image is displayed way to large. We tried to adjust maximum resolution but that just crops the image and makes it pixelated. How can we get this image to be displayed smaller?
thanks.
In Drupal 7, you can use the core Image Styles (admin/config/media/image-styles) to set pre-defined image sizes, cropping, and more. Once you have an image style configured, you can use it to style an image in a view. This gives you complete control over image cropping and sizing. If you're using Drupal 6, the ImageCache module does the same thing.
In Mac OSX,
I have an image with black pixel in all 4 directions.
I want to programmatically crop the image to the maximum image rect.
Should i check for the black pixel and then create the crop rect or is there any supported API is there?
Create an NSImage of the desired size, lock focus on it, draw the desired crop rectangle of the source image into the whole bounds of the destination image, and unlock focus. The image you created now contains the crop from the source image.
Note that this will lose information like resolution (DPI), color profile, and EXIF tags. If you want to preserve those things (probably a good idea), use CGImage:
Use CGImageSource to load the image. Be sure to recover the properties of each image from the file, as well as the images themselves. And note that I used the plural: TIFF files can contain multiple images.
Use the CGImageCreateWithImageInRect function to crop out the desired section of each image. Don't forget to release each original image as appropriate.
If you want to write the cropped-out images to a file, do so using CGImageDestination. Pass both the images and the attributes dictionaries you obtained in step 1.
