I'm trying to setup and run the DMTK project on my pc, on visual studio 2013
I followed the setup steps one by one, now I'm getting a fatal error "can't open multiverso.lib" when building the solution
any help is appreciated
You should download and install DMTK Framework Binary first, which can be downloaded here.
Click the "Binary (Windows): x64", not just "Source code", and you will find multiverso.lib in it. Then import it into your project.

I compiled program that made for VS 2010 in VS 2013, I got this error.
I did change the tool to VS 2010 (V100) and add dependencies (both mfc100d.lib and mfc120d.lib).
I also set project defaults > Use of MFC > Use MFC in Shared DLL.
I'm trying to looking for mfc100d.lib but can't find that on my computer, I just have mfc100d.dll.
Do anyone has reference to related website, so I can download mfc100d.lib?
this is my error:
error LNK1104: cannot open file 'mfc100d.lib'
I use OpenCV 3.0 and VS Ultimate 2013.
Please help me.
Thank you.
Just playing with Xamarin.Forms, downloaded sample project TipCalc from here. When I try to open the solution in Xamarin Studio I am getting this error.
When i try to build the project, i get this error
Error MSB4019: The imported project "C:\Program Files
(x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\Portable\v4.5\Microsoft.Portable.CSharp.targets"
was not found. Confirm that the path in the declaration is
correct, and that the file exists on disk. (MSB4019) (TipCalc.Android)
Please someone guide me, what should i configure in my project, to make this to run successfully. I am using Xamarin Studio 5, my OS is windows 7 ultimate.
I installed Portable Library Tools followed by Xamarin.Android to fix this. This error occurs if we try to load the pcl project without installing portable library tools, because Xamarin checks for following file in the machine while loading pcl project.
C:\Program Files
(x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\Portable\v4.0Microsoft.Portable.CSharp.targets
cheers!
Im trying to open new project with visual studio 2010
the version I want to use is 1.0.
so, those are the steps I used to do that:
1. installed windows DDK 7.1.0
2. opened (I tried regular and gstreamer SDK) new project with VS-2010
3. added x86.props (from C:\gstreamer\1.0\x86\share\vs\2010\msvc)
4. added gstreamer-1.0.props (from C:\gstreamer\1.0\x86\share\vs\2010\libs)
5. changed the working directory to "C:\gstreamer\1.0\x86\bin"
6. copied the basic code (Hello World) from here- [Hello World][1]
I did exactly the same thing but with 0.10 (and it worked) and now, with 1.0, when I build the code I get the error:
Error 1 error LNK1104: cannot open file 'gstreamer-1.0.lib'
after I added the "gstreamer-1.0.lib" (from C:\gstreamer\1.0\x86\lib) to "Additional Library Directories"
I got the error:
Error 1 error LNK1104: cannot open file 'msvcrt_winxp.obj'
I will be happy for some guidance of starting new gstreamer project..
Thanks!
The file msvcrt_winxp.obj is part of WinDDK, so it sounds like something has gone wrong with setting up your visual studio project.
First of all, make sure you're using the gstreamer packages from gstreamer.freedesktop.org and not the SDK from gstreamer.com. The SDK is for the older gstreamer 0.10.
Now having just said that, the gstreamer.com website still has some useful documentation on it. I recommend following the instructions at the bottom of this page, under the heading "Creating new projects using the wizard":
http://docs.gstreamer.com/display/GstSDK/Installing+on+Windows
You'll want to click to expand the manual installation instructions in the blue box, as the installer did not automatically copy all the files for me.
Once you've got that set up, make a new project using the wizard and everything should work!
If you're still having problems, check the instructions under "Remove the dependency with the Visual Studio runtime" to make sure you've installed the DDK properly.
I'm trying to get a brand new Sharp Architecture 1.6 project set up. My environment is Windows 7 64bit, running Visual Studio 2010. I have followed the instructions provided in the VS2010_ReadMe.txt.
In VS2010 I do File | New | Project, select S#arp Architecture Application, give it a name and hit 'OK'. And I receive the following errors:
"A problem was encountered creating the sub project 'sharptest.Core'. A project with that name is already opened in the solution."
"A problem was encountered creating the sub project 'sharptest.ApplicationServices'. A project with that name is already opened in the solution."
... (it continues like this for each project)
I have not found any clear documentation regarding this issue. I would appreciate help from someone who has successfully gotten a project based on the sharp architecture project template up and running successfully on a 64bit O/S running vs2010. Thanks.
I had the same issue. However, my issue was resolved from creating the project in a different folder. I receive the error when I try to create the solution in
C:\Users\Sam\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\TestProject
Changing this to
C:\Code\TestProject
and I don't receive the error.
Do you have any subversion programs like AnkhSVN installed? It would be worth uninstalling this and trying again. Best advice I can offer.
I have one OPC ( OLE for Process control ) server project which is developed into visual studio 2005. I want to run it in visual studio 2008. The coding for the OPC server project is done in VC++. I want to connect my OPC client to this OPC server. When I was opened the OPC server project which was build into visual studio 2005 into visual studio 2008 first time it was asking for conversion wizard. I gone through that wizard & successfully finished that wizard. But when I build ( by right clicking on the project & choosing build solution ) it is giving lots of error near about 64 errors. Most of the errors are like - fetal error C1083:Can not open type library file:'msxml4.dll':No such file or directory, fetal error LINK1181:can not open input file 'rpcndr.lib' , error C2051:case expression not constant. only these 3 types of errors in am getting. All these 3 errors are repeated in Error list & becoming bunch of 64 errors. Please provide me the solution for the above issue. Can you provide me any suusgestion or link or any way through whcih I can resolve the above issue?
In Visual Studio Project go to Project properties dialog to use Linker --> Input Options:
1. Remove rpcndr.lib
2. Make sure for all such configurations add rpcrt4.lib
Reason to do this is that the Windows SDK no longer ships with rpcndr.lib.
Opening in VS 2008 is the only way to upgrade.
But it looks like you need to clean up some of the references... this will be a manual step (likely just need to set a few paths). Start by fixing the first error, it is likely many of the subsequent errors are a consequence of that first error.
Normal practice is to have a copy of referenced libraries (including typelibs) somewhere in your source tree, so you are not dependent on absolute paths into the OS or other application's install folders. (Or the continuing existence of that library).
