I keep getting an APPHOST9603 error when I run my Apache Cordova App in Visual Studio 2015. This gets marked as an error in the Console. Every time I run the app, there are more APPHOST Errors.
This is the error description:
APPHOST9603: "Can’t load the ActiveX plug-in that has the class ID
classID. Apps can't load ActiveX controls."
The reason of this error is described in the MSDN Documentation of Microsoft:
Windows Runtime apps using JavaScript don't support custom Microsoft ActiveX controls. [...]
The problem is that this errors happen since I created the blank project. I even deleted most of the HTML inside index.html, leaving just a white screen.
Does anyone know how to solve this error? Maybe Cordova is creating some kind of file somewhere else, which gets bigger every time I run my application?

There are several similar questions but no one of them actually works for me.
I wanted to make a .Net Core application (API) but as I said the build fails (even with the default application). If I try to continue, IIS shows "Error 500.0 - ANCM In-Process Handler Load Failure".
Tried everything, from restarting VS to deleting and reinstalling it but it does not work. It instead works on a virtual machine but have no idea what's the difference. What might I do?
Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019
Version 16.8.3
I've the same error but in an ASPNET u need see the errors in the build/debugging output
I've an error but that don't show
You need to find the error within the logs
My error was an update Panel

EDIT:
Try this: Select Entire Solution and Build Only to show the Errors
Unexpectedly stopped working for me debugging classic ASP in Visual Studio 2015.
I have enabled Server-Side Debugging and on error and trying to lunch VS (and break app) I got error that I need to find file to view source. When I trying to browse for it I got another error with "Unable to open script document".
Also when I set breakpoints in code and app reach this places I got this same message: "Unable to open script document".
I tried to:
uninstall/install VS
reset all VS settings
remove/add IIS
After day of searching solutions I found cause of the problem..
Yesterday I added prefered editor to .asp files in Tools -> Options -> Text Editor -> File Extension. After removing .asp extension from list Debugging start working.
I had this same issue but off of a fresh upgrade to Visual Studio 2017. It was my exception settings catching 3rd party java script libraries being loaded in. I fixed this by turning off JavaScript Runtime Exceptions and WebKitJavaScript Exceptions.
I'm trying to compile a project I have in Visual Studio 2010. It has built fine on 2 other computers with Visual Studio, but on this computer, it will not compile, and returns:
"The property could not be read/written because the language service returned an unknown error"
Obviously, I have tried googling, and nothing of any use came up, so some help would be great.
Additional Information:
Project is an XNA 4.0 Project
Trying to deploy the solution to a Windows phone. The phone is plugged in, unlocked, etc. and other projects will deploy successfully to it.
I've run into the exact same error message when I tried editing the AssemblyInfo.cs using VS 2010's Assembly Information dialog from within the project properties (open Properties -> Application from below the given project).
As this thread suggests, I deleted the AssemblyInfo.cs file and filled in the values I wanted in the dialog box which created a new and working AssemblyInfo.cs. Maybe this would help/would have helped in your scenario as well.
Note, that you'll get a fresh and valid GUID if you simply click save after opening the dialog.
I encountered this today in VS 2017. It went away as soon as I performed a build which fetched all my references.
i have Visual Studio 2010.
Recently I was using MVC2 and due to some reason I installed MVC3 in my computer. Everything was working fine, till today.
Now when I am creating new project, I am getting below error:
When I clicked on debug
When I went to the folder and tried to open the solution I am getting this
Please help
EDIT 1
When I open the C# project file of the application and tried to run I am getting the below error
Also when I added a controller and tried to right click on the method to create view. I am not getting any option of "Add View"
I suspect the problem is due to any corrupt DLL or assembly.
Edit
Linked to another question Error while running MVC3 Application after reinstalling also
I would try uninstalling and then reinstalling the MVC3 binaries in Add/Remove Programs. Be sure to grab both the MVC 3 and MVC 3 - Visual Studio 2010 Tools.
Note: I am saying the Tools as well because VS crashed on you when you tried to create a new application.
i try to debug a windows gadget. Just-In-Time debugging fires up and i can see an VS2010IDE attached to the sidebar process. But there is no source code to debug! Only a blank file with the yellow debug pointer. What is my problem?
Configuration of my system is based on this article:
Gadgets for Windows Sidebar Debugging (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb456467(VS.85).aspx)
We have posted on the MSDN forum about this.
I think script debugging is broken in studio 2010 beta2.
I cannot get script debugging to work on my ASP.NET MVC project either.
We get a blank page, and the IDE cannot find the code to debug.
Trying to open files in the Internet Explorer tree in solution exlorer results in blank files being opened.
I think it's a bug - and afterall it is a beta.
I also had this problem, and for a while I was thinking it might have to do with my machine being 64-bit, or a permissions issue, but I have no way of confirming it.
However, I was able to solve it by using the template on this Code Project site:
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/gadgets/HeterodoxGadgetTemplate.aspx
The nice thing about the template is that it's setup as a Windows application. When you run the app it handles the local deployment of your gadget and starts the sidebar service (sidebar.exe). I believe this probably gets around a number of permissions issues.
After setting up a new project using this template, I was able to successfully debug the JavaScript using the "debugger" methods explained everywhere else (for example: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb456467%28v=vs.85%29.aspx).
