While compiling HTML file in Visual Studio 2015 when I click on debug button on top, I always get a dialogue box "Attach to process" like the one in the figure below. From there onwards nothing happens, means I can't see my HTML file compiled.
I have tried various solutions but nothing works
I actually don't know what to do with this dialogue box.
Please help me out as soon as possible

When opening my solution in Visual Studio 2019, I was getting a dialog warning saying something related to vcpkg cannot be loaded. This dialog was saying Don't show this dialog again and by error i clicked it. So now every time I open Visual Studio this message does not show and now I want to show it again in order I can see what was exactly the warning about vcpkg. I need to solve this error since it is affecting to other extensions i have installed, for example, resxmanager, it does not open. So how can I tell Visual Studio to show that dialog again in order i can see in details what was the error?
I am working with Unity.
While in Unity, I build my program. It's a very simple program. It's simply a cube that I placed on the screen.
I clicked build and a Visual Studios Solution was created.
I open up this solution in Visual Studios 2019 and I hit Start (there is no other option besides start).
This is what appears on my screen:
How can I get rid of the error message?
Edit:
I am trying to play with the Hololens emulator.
This post recommended not installing the tools for Unity when installing Visual Studio 2019, that’s why I fid not do so.
Edit #2:
Here is an image from my entire solution from Visual Studio 2019.
Visual Studio solutions can have multiple projects inside of them. Each project generally produces a binary: an .exe, a .dll or a .lib file. If you look at the solution explorer (which you showed in your screenshot), you'll see those projects there. One of the projects will be bolded, and that is the project that is currently set as "Startup project". This is the project that Visual Studio will try to launch when you press F5 or "Start Debugging".
The reason you're getting this error is because your "Startup Project" is configured to be "Il2CppOutputProject". This project builds a .dll, and you cannot start a .dll.
To fix this, right click on "Chapter_2" project and select "Set this project as Startup Project" option. Now starting debugging should start working.
I have a problem using VS 2017 15.3.3
I like to show a wpf window in the buildin debugger visualizer, and get the error above.
Things I tried:
on another machine the visualizer shows up with same project
a newly created wpf project also fails
rebooted several times
followed the advice here: Stackoverflow "Show Visualizers Error", but did not get any information from the attached visual studio (no errors during visualizer start)
The visual studio environment was updated from VS 2015, and I had used the debugger visualizer "mole" from Shifflett/Smith in VS2015/VS2017, but deinstalled them now.
Next step may be reinstall of vs 2017 but I like to hear if there are any other things to check beforehand...
I have installed Visual studio 2013 with update 2 but after successful installation When I try to create a new project , I am seeing blank window
But I am able to see some template when I try to click create a new website
I have tried resetting setting or installing template from visual studio command prompt.. even tried repairing it but no success
I have tried solution mentioned in below links but no success yet.
Missing project templates in "New Project" dialog box in Visual Studio 2013
Visual Studio 2013 new project templates appear empty
On windows machine hit Win + R (Run Command Dialog)
Type appwiz.cpl
find Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate (this may vary) then Dbl Click.
The Dialog Box Shown below appears.
The VS Repair Dialog Box
Click on repair and wait for the process to complete.
You may be prompted for a reboot.
Your New Project Dialog Box should be back as it was.
All of my coworkers can see in Visual Studio 2012 Solution Explorer when anybody else has code checked out.
The icon changes from Checked In to Checked Out By Another Person in Another Place.
But my Visual Studio does not update to change the icon when this takes place. I went to another coworkers desk and had them check out a file and then I went back to mine and the icon did not update. I checked out one of my files and it was correctly displayed on their screen.
Is this a bug in Visual Studio 2012?
Is there an option I can click in TFS, Visual Studio, or elsewhere where I can turn this option on?
It is quite annoying working with multiple developers and I do not know when somebody else has a file checked out.
I am currently running Visual Studio Professional 2012 - Version 11.0.61030.00 Update 4
