Notification Aurelia-KendoUI-bridge with Typescript - kendo-ui

View:
<ak-notification id="popupNotification"
k-widget.bind="popupNotification"></ak-notification>
ViewModel:
this.popupNotification.show('error message', 'error');
However, the this.popupNotification has no reference in the .ts file. How can I add use it in ViewModel to show the popup?

Declared the variable with the same name as id. and it worked fine.
popoupNotification;

how to add common variable for laravel and pass this data to all view all views

I want to create a global variable and pass this into all view, so I can get this variable into all blade template
basically, my need is to pass my general setting controller value into my common blade view like header.blade.php
Thanks in advance
For that you will need to add some code in the App->Providers->AppServiceProvider.php like this:
public function boot()
{
view()->composer('*',function($view){
$settings = Settings::firstOrNew(['id' => '1']);
$view->with('settings', $settings );
});
}
According to Laravel documentation you can use view composer:
https://laravel.com/docs/5.8/views#view-composers
for using this feature in app > AppServiceProvider and in boot method you can use this approach for passing parameter to specific view If you have data that you want to be bound to a view each time that view is rendered. this approach meet your need perfectly. for example you want to pass a parameter named userName to header.
View()->composer('header', function ($view){
$userName= "username"
$view->with(['userName'=>$userName]);
});

Laravel 5 Bind data to var for menu in header.blade.php

What is the best solution for creating a menu.
I have $menudata (dynamic from dbase) and want to pass it to a heade.blade.php to generate top menu.
$menudata = Menu::all();
#foreach($menudata as $value).......
How can i achieve that? What's the best way to do it?
Add below code within the boot method of the AppServiceProvider
View::composer('*', function($view)
{
$view->with('menudata', Menu::all());
});
Here, * means all views will receive $menudata.
Now you can use this like
#foreach ($menudata as $menu).....
If the menu is visible in every page then add the following in any service provider (e.g. in the AppServiceProvider):
public function boot() {
// ...
View::share("menudata",Menu::all());
//...
}
Then you can use the menu data in any view e.g.
#foreach($menudata as $value).......
Laravel-menu provides three rendering methods out of the box. However you can create your own rendering method using the right methods and attributes.
As noted earlier, laravel-menu provides three rendering formats out of the box, asUl(), asOl() and asDiv(). You can read about the details here.
{!! $MyNavBar->asUl() !!}
You can also access the menu object via the menu collection:
{!! Menu::get('MyNavBar')->asUl() !!}

Onclick function inside blade check box

I am using blade template check box. I want to make it checked and readonly. So that i find other way to make it readonly by using onclick function. On onclick function using Jquery make the checkbox readonly. But how to assign function inside blade checkbox ?. Is there any way to make it both checked and readonly.
{{Form::checkbox('allRole[]', $allRole->name,true)}}
Try this :
{{Form::checkbox('allRole[]', $allRole->name,true,array('disabled'))}}
Try to add readonly in options:
{{Form::checkbox('allRole[]', $allRole->name, true, ['readonly'=>true])}}
You can write onlcick function for the checkbox to get checked first and then make it readonly. You can use onclick as,
{{ Form::checkbox('name', 'value', true, ['onClick' => 'alert(123)']) }}
I found the answer by Mr. Zoltan Toth:
<input type='checkbox' />
$('input[type="checkbox"]').on('click', function(event) {
event.preventDefault();
event.stopPropagation();
return false;
alert('Break');
)};
preventing checkbox from changing

JToolbar::save() redirection

I'm going through the Joomla 2.5 tutorial to build a custom component. Now I'm facing an issue on the redirection after using JToolbar::save() or JToolBarHelper::cancel for that matter. By default Joomla wants to redirect to the default layout (from the edit layout). However I don't want it to do that. I want it to redirect back to another view. In Joomla 1.5 I would have done this through adding the function into the controller - something like
function cancel()
{
//redirects user back to blog homepage with Cancellation Message
$msg = JText::_( 'COM_BLOG_POST_CANCELLED' );
$this->setRedirect( 'index.php?option=com_jjblog&view=jjblog', $msg );
}
Now that works beautifully for the cancel function, however for save this is a much more complex thing. If I want to overwrite the url do I have to redirect the controller to the model and then write in all the code for the model interaction? Because that seems slightly excessive just for a url redirection like you would in Joomla 1.5?
Hope you have added the save toolbar code with the proper controller name like this
JToolBarHelper::save('controllerName.save');
Create a save function in appropriate controller.
Add the task in the form
Finnally make sure you have added form action withthe corresponding component name.
You can try this-
In the controller firstly you call the parent save function than redirect to url.
function save(){
parent::save();
$this->setredirect('index.php?option=com_mycomponent');
}
OK it didn't need to $this->setRedirect at all. Just needed me to change the value to
protected $view_list = 'jjBlog';
which then sets the redirects of everything back to that list view.
Source link for this is here.
Thanks for all the responses though!!
view.html.php
protected function addToolbar ()
{
JRequest::setVar ('hidemainmenu', false);
JToolBarHelper::title (JText::_ ('Configuration'), 'configuration.gif');
JToolBarHelper::save($task = 'save', $alt = 'JTOOLBAR_SAVE');
}
controller.php
public function save()
{
$mainframe = JFactory::getApplication();
$mainframe->enqueueMessage (JText::_ ('COM_SOCIALLOGIN_SETTING_SAVED'));
$this->setRedirect (JRoute::_ ('index.php', false));
}
I think you can use
global $mainframe;
$mainframe->redirect("index.php?option=com_user&task=activate&activation=".$activation);
If you are overriding joomla's default save function in your custom component like
function save( $task = 'CustomSave', $alt = 'Save' ) // or even same name Save
Inside your controller you can use the CustomSave as the task and use $mainframe for redirect.
or
$mainframe = &JFactory::getApplication();
$mainframe->redirect("index.php?option=com_user&task=activate&activation=".$activation);
Hope this may help you..

CkEditor Doesn't post value

When a form with a textarea using CkEditor is submitted using ajax the post is empty on the server side.
If I remove CkEditor, the value is posted. Any ideas?
On submit, run this code:
for (instance in CKEDITOR.instances) {
CKEDITOR.instances[instance].updateElement();
}
.. basically for AJAX, you need to force CKEditor to update your textareas so they contain the data you see in the CKEditor windows. See this question for more details.
You don't really need to update anything with JS. All you have to do is to make sure your textarea (the one you replace with CKEDITOR.replace() on $(document).ready()) has the same name as the property you want to set value of, e.g.:
<textarea id="editor" name="Body">#Model?.Body</textarea>
This works for me:
CKEDITOR.replace( 'content' );
function updateAllMessageForms()
{
for (instance in CKEDITOR.instances) {
CKEDITOR.instances[instance].updateElement();
}
}
