Xamarin.iOS for iOS16

I have implemented an iOS app based on Xamarin.iOS.
Now I like to upgrade the app for iOS16.
There is a dev blog from Microsoft which says that Xamarin supports already iOS16:
https://devblogs.microsoft.com/xamarin/xamarin-ios-16-android-13-updates/
Visual Studio and Xcode have been updated to the latest versions.
After all the updates I am able to debug the app on an iOS16 simulator.
But the installation of the .ipa file on an iPhone 8 with iOS16 fails with an error "unable to install the app - try it later".
I recognized that there was no update of the nuget package "Xamarin.Forms" which I had to update on earlier iOS upgrades (e.g. to iOS15).
Currently I am not yet able to migrate to .NET6 and .NET Maui.
Does anyone know how to upgrade an old Xamarin.iOS app to iOS16?
Update: The app runs on iOS16 but the installation by itms-services does not work. I cannot find any changes in Apples changelog.

Why am I having trouble with the Android Emulator in VS Comm 2017?

I was having trouble using the Android emulator in Visual Studio Community 2017 and I decided to create a blank project to see if it will run. I get this error message when attempting to run it in the Live Xamarin Player:
Starting Android Emulator Android_Accelerated_x86_Nougat...
Failed to boot Android device emulator-5554...
Unable to deploy to Android_Accelerated_x86_Nougat, please ensure the Xamarin
Live Player app is open and the device is on the same network as Visual Studio.
Why would I have trouble running the emulator in a fresh blank project when I didn't even write a single line of code? Thanks for your help.
UPDATE: So I installed the latest Android SDK 8.0 along with they system image and tried to create a virtual device that uses it. But the Android Virtual Device Manager shows a, 'No system images installed' message when I selected the 8.0 framework. So I installed an earlier version of the SDK along with a system image (5) and was able to create a virtual device with it. So another question is why wouldn't the system images show up for the 8.0 framework?
The $(TargetFrameworkVersion) for Xamarin.Forms.Platform.Android.dll
(vv8.0) is greater than the $(TargetFrameworkVersion) for your project
(v7.1). You need to increase the $(TargetFrameworkVersion) for your
project
This means the Xamarin.Forms library is targeting Android 8.0 (API level 26) but your project is setup for Android 7.1 (API level 25). You can't change the Xamarin.Forms target version without downgrading, but you can change your project target version easily. You can learn more about these concepts from Xamarin. Be aware some of the details of that Xamarin blog post are already out of date!
There is another nice blog post from Xamarin which can walk you through the process of setting your system up for Android 8.0 API level 26. It's normally not this complicated, but Google changed their SDK tools internally between 25 and 26 in very major ways. They changed from GUI tools to command line tools.
You'll probably also want to get the (in preview) Xamarin Android Device Manager if you don't have a physical device to test with. This Xamarin Android Device Manager tool is the only way to create and configure API 26 and higher emulators without using the Google command line tools.
It seems as though Google has gotten rid of the GUI apps that manage the SDK and Virtual Devices in the latest version, so when you try to create a new virtual device with 8.0 it's not compatible with the GUI tools. Until Xamarin releases a GUI tool to replace them we can use the command-line to manage the SDK and virtual devices.

Does Xamarin IOS Simulator Require XCode?

Well , im new to IOS app development i've heard about Xamarin cross-platform app-development, so my setup is ==>
Visual Studio Enterprise Update 1 Installed.
Xamarin For Visual Studio 2015 Downloaded (Now about to install).
Xamarin IOS simulator downloaded.
Now as i have xamarin simulator i don't need to buy a mac or get a hosted-mac , that's clear now i just wanna confirm do i need XCode ? i mean i have xamarin simulator but still i'm confused about XCODE for windows how can i get that should it be getting installed automatically or do i need to give it another shot.
I'm confused about all this .
I just don't* have the budget to buy a MAC and i want to do APP development just (Debugging ) deployment will be done latter please tell me what should i do or give me the proper instruction thanks.
You need to run Xcode on a mac to build Xamarin apps for iOS. A Windows install of Xamarin on Visual Studio will allow you to connect to a mac to do the build remotely, but you still need a mac available that has Xcode installed on it to do the build.
You can download Xcode from the Mac App Store. You will also need the mac to upload the final package to the iOS App Store if you're going to release it there.
An other option is to use a cloud based Mac server, there are several companies that rent them out on hourly/monthly basis for this purpose (MacinCloud being one that I've heard of).
XCode needs and can only be installed onto a MAC OSX system.
Once you have XCode installed, you can use its iPhone simulator to emulate the iOS apps you make on your windows pc.
You need to connect to the MAC by using the MAC Agent on Visual Studio. This connects remotely to the MAC and allows you to debug the app to be emulated onto the virtual iOS device being simulated on your MAC OSX system.
You can use MAC Cloud based server but also, you can use a real iOS device such as an iPhone to debug apps directly onto the device.

Target iOS device drop down not shown in Visual Studio 2013 iOS toolbar

I use Visual Studio 2013 with Xamarin.VisualStudio 3.9.236. Also Mac 10.10 virtual machine in VMWare, with Xcode 6.3, Xamarin.iOS 8.6.0.51, Xamarin Build Host 3.9.0.234.
In Visual Studio, I select iOS project as startup project and set solution platform to iPhoneSimulator for debug mode, but in iOS toolbar there isn't Target iOS Device drop down to select simulator device.
I also check toolbar customization. How to display Target iOS Device drop down in iOS toolbar?
Note: Visual studio fully connected with Mac Build host, and simulator devices are works fine with Xcode and Xamarin studio inside Mac OS.
This problem solved after download and setup last version of Xamarin.
The cause of this error was iOS 8.3 was unsupported by used Xamarin.VisualStudio 3.9.236, that solved in last stable release.
After update Xamarin:
Use these links to download updates with download manager (links may not found in Xamarin website: Stable release: XamarinVS 3.9.547, iOS 8.3 API support and various bug fixes)
Windows:
Xamarin.VisualStudio_3.9.547.msi (20fd2f0)
Mac OS
1- XamarinStudio-5.8.3.1.dmg
2- monotouch-8.9.1.3.pkg
3- mono-android-4.20.2-1.pkg
OR may resolve problem by install older version of iOS Simulator on Mac than 8.3:
1- Open Xcode
2- Go to "Window" menu and click "Devices" menu
3- Follow steps in image:

Could not find the Blank Android Wear Application template in Xamarin Studio

I am new to Xamarin Studio. I am trying to create an app for Android Wear using Xamarin studio. I have installed the Xamarin Studio 5.5 (upto date version) and Xamarin.Android version 4.18 (Trial Edition). I've gone through the below link before I start to set up my environment.
http://blog.xamarin.com/tips-for-your-first-android-wear-app/
As said in the blog, I have installed the latest Xamarin Studio, in which I couldn't find the template for creating a new Android Wear application in either my XamarinStudio or Visual Studio.
I have tried to download the sample given in the below link:
http://developer.xamarin.com/samples/android/Android%20Wear/
On building the samples, it gives me the dll missing errors.
for ex: I have downloaded the Eliza Chat sample from the above sample, and on running the sample I have been faced some dll missing issues. After downloading them manually from internet and refer them, I am facing the below error
"Error 1 No resource found that matches the given name: attr 'android:windowSwipeToDismiss'. C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Xamarin\Android.Wearable\1.0.0\embedded.\res\values\values.xml 128 ElizaChat"
Note: I have installed the Android Wear Emulator with the help of the SDK Manager. And I have installed the Android L (API 20, L Preview) and Android 4.4 W(API20) through SDK Manager. And I have installed Android Support Repository and Android Support Library.
Do I need to install any thing else to work with Android Wear application. Any help would be appreciable.
Thanks,
Karuppasamy P
