I have a Windows VM in my Azure account. It was working fine until I changed its size to increase resources / disk size. After the update VM stopped working. I am unable to access VM with RDP or FTP etc.
I have tried restarting VM but still same. Any clue how to fix this?
After several tried, I used Reset Remote Access option. This seems to have made the VM accessible again. But unfortunately it has changed VM Ip address too.

I just downloaded Ubuntu for Windows and want to start programming in this environment. Unfortunately, all the files and packages needed are on my VMWare Ubuntu. I found instructions to save all my configs and packages to move to another machine, but how do I move that folder to my Ubuntu on Windows?
You could enable folder sharing. The guide https://www.vmware.com/support/ws3/doc/ws32_running9.html is old (sorry I clicked on the first google hit) so search for a newer one. Also if your "Ubuntus" are running in GUI folder you could just send them to the cloud and pull it back down from the other machine.

I am working to create a cloud managed provisioning system to be used with a number of computers located on home networks. As part of this, I would really like to setup a PXE server on AWS that can be booted on demand if a computer goes down.
Does PXE booting only work from the local network, or is there some way to specify the location of the server (from the local home router)? I would like to avoid use of a VPN as network bandwidth is a concern for normal operation of the machines.
You can use iPXE to accomplish this by hard coding a URL to boot from. You'd likely have to chainload to do this which is well documented at the site.

Hey Any one please help me !! An unknown extra drive is shown in My Computer and when i tried to open it ... it says Access Denied .... I don't know from where it come from and when i checked it in Disk Management its not their. Please help me to remove that drive.

When I restarted my Windows system it's gone.
Remember: You should do a restart, not a shut down.
I think it's related to Windows updates.
I wonder if this could be that 100MB Windows Reserved EFI system partition that you somehow started displaying instead of it being hidden by default.

In Windows 7, I'm using a proxy server to browse the internet. It just routes http packets. I need to keep the Windows time accurate and synced with global time servers.
What's my best solution?

One option specifically for Windows is htp. I have not used it.
Another option if there are other servers in your network is to time synchronize with them using NTP

I already installed XP. Once my desktop opened system automatically going to shutdown when i am pressing refresh key. So, i am trying to format my system and put windows 7 OS. I inserted my OS, its shows windows copying files. During copy system goes to shutdown. I tried more than 20 times. What is the problem.? How to solve it.?
Its some hardware problem. Its working now after cleaned my RAM.
