Installing puppetlabs/apt fails with '302 Found' - vagrant

So I have a vagrant / puppet setup for my project* and am running Ubuntu 14.04 on it. It just broke, without changing anything. puppet module install puppetlabs-apt inside the VM fails with the following lines:
Error: Could not execute operation for 'puppetlabs/apt'
The server being queried was https://forge.puppetlabs.com
The HTTP response we received was '302 Found'
Check the author and module names are correct.
I'm using this module for quite some time and it seems like it just stopped working for no reason. Any advice appreciated.
-- Edit: answer question
running it with --debug doesn't help much I guess

vagrant up / vagrant ssh and puppet module install puppetlabs-apt

This should be fixed. You can check FORGE-327 for more information

https://forge.puppetlabs.com/puppetlabs/apt redirect to https://forge.puppet.com/puppetlabs/apt
you can force it to use the correct forge by appending --module_repository https://forge.puppet.com/ so it will become
puppet module install puppetlabs-apt --module_repository https://forge.puppet.com/
not sure exactly why it wants to download from https://forge.puppetlabs.com at first place, you could check your puppet.conf

Ruby on Rail running apache show index of when accessing the site

I have recently updated to Apache 2.4, and I am using Ruby on Rail to run my application. Following the upgrade, the site shows a content as seen in the image below, and the error on the log file shows this error message. I have tried using the 'Bundle Install' and checked the permission but that hasn't helped. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Message from application: libmysqlclient.so.18: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory - /usr/local/rvm/gems/ruby-2.0.0-p353#hroot/gems/mysql2-0.3.14/lib/mysql2/mysql2.so (LoadError)
PassengerRuby /usr/local/rvm/gems/ruby-2.0.0-p353#hroot/wrappers/ruby

This error shows a problem with the shared objects. You probably updated MySQL/MariaDB libraries with Apache and new libraries are incompatible with your mysql2 gem build. The solution is simple:
First, ensure you are using the ruby-2.0.0-p353#hroot RVM environment.
Then, execute the following command:
gem install mysql2 --version 0.3.14
This should rebuild your mysql2 gem for the new MySQL/MariaDB client libraries on your system.
this isn't the answer anyway but another method to run ruby (in my case Windows 10 ; if you use another OS try to find out how to modify inside index.php the ruby starter)
i post here an alternative method to use apache + php +... and ruby

Chef: Recipe Compile Error in /var/chef/cache/cookbooks/couchbase/libraries/helper.rb cannot load such file -- chef/rest

I have vagrant : Vagrant 1.7.4, and a devbox cookbook, when I do vagrant up is showing me a compile error :
Recipe Compile Error in /var/chef/cache/cookbooks/couchbase/libraries/helper.rb cannot load such file -- chef/rest .
With same setup, same cookbook is working for all other machines.
full logs : https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/uploads-eu.hipchat.com/102620/3335846/qsb5ZamnZGZ7Rdf/log.txt
Can some help?
Thank you
Check if you're using the Chef 13 pre release that went up today. If so, that file is indeed removed and the cookbook needs to be updated. The official Chef 13 release will be on Monday and it will take some time for even a reasonable number of cookbooks to port to it.

The postfix module does not support the Debian family of operating systems

I have a vagrant and virtual box configuration and I tried installing postfix using puphet but I can't proceed because I always encounter this error when I run vagrant up or vagrant provision
Info: Loading facts in /etc/puppet/modules/rabbitmq/lib/facter/rabbitmq_erlang_cookie.rb
Warning: Could not retrieve fact fqdn
Error: The postfix module does not support the Debian family of operating systems. on node teaser-site-mgr
Error: The postfix module does not support the Debian family of operating systems. on node teaser-site-mgr
The following SSH command responded with a non-zero exit status.
Vagrant assumes that this means the command failed!
FACTER_ssh_username='vagrant' puppet apply --verbose --hiera_config /vagrant/puphpet/puppet/hiera.yaml --parser future --manifestdir /tmp/vagrant-puppet/manifests --detailed-exitcodes /tmp/vagrant-puppet/manifests/manifest.pp || [ $? -eq 2 ]
Stdout from the command:
and in my manifest.pp
class {'postfix':
remove_sendmail => false,
myorigin => undef,
relayhost => undef,
relayhost_port => undef,
}
I also added this mod in Puppetfile
mod 'postfix', :git => 'https://github.com/Aethylred/puppet-postfix'
Please help anyone m(_ _)m
#felix-frank --parser future is def. required by PuPHPet. Please don't remove this.
#inferno, the issue is you're trying to use this puppet-postfix module in a Debian OS, when it clearly states it does not support Debian.
Might I suggest https://github.com/example42/puppet-postfix ?
It seems that the error(s) I encountered is also somehow my fault.
Its because the puppet version now in my vagrant is 3.5.x (i created the config months ago) and i didn't noticed that the puphpet.com config has been also updated
and also the required puppet version is just 3.4.x
So when I run vagrant provision, the puppet version is updated to latest version which is 3.5.x (because of outdated puphpet config) thats why I always encounter the error (and sometimes syntax error)
im just wondering why puppet version 3.0 to 3.5 is now unsupported (but still puphpet.com is using it for vagrant) http://docs.puppetlabs.com/release_notes/
But anyways, thank you very much for your help guys :) I won't notice my mistake without all of your help m(_ _)m

Error -60005 when install Cocos2d-iPhone v3 RC4

When I try to install Cocos2d-iphone 3.0.0 RC4, I got an error: (run without sudo)
Error -60005 occurred while executing script with privileges.
So, I try to show its package content and use terminal to do: cd ...Cocos2D Installer 3.0.0.app/Contents/MacOS
I try this command: (with sudo)
sudo ./Cocos2D\ Installer\ 3.0.0
It works but I got log with some errors:

Are there any way is better than this way?
I have same problem.
I think you installed old cocos2d-iphone and it caused this problem.
You should remove old cocos2d-iphone first. I removed:
~/Library/Developer/Xcode/cocos2d v3.x
And install again. It works for me.
Hope it works for you :)

Error: Could not autoload /puppet/pops/binder/hiera2/json_backend: no such file to load -- json

I try to setup a Vagrant instance with a puphpet script and get the following error message:

The following SSH command responded with a non-zero exit status.

Does anybody as a hint what might be wrong?
Thanks a lot for the help!!!
Try adding "gem install json" before "gem install librarian-puppet" in the file {vagrant path}/puphpet/shell/librarian-puppet-vagrant.sh (probably somewhere around line 72)
I was having a similar issue and found the above solution at https://github.com/puphpet/puphpet/issues/455. My issue had nothing to do with the proxy stuff mentioned there, however the json errors were similar to mine. Seems to work for me.
I've updated Vagrant to 1.4.3 and I'm starting to get the same error, so it's possible it's a bug that's only appeared in the latest revision.
Not sure how you would roll back to 1.3.5, remove and re-install?
