Have noticed that umbraco datepicker property doesn't allow for dates before 1900. Is there someway I can customize the validation to allow for this?
The minDate in the bootstrap date time picker is set to 1900. You can override this by setting the following variable (in this example I'm setting it to 1800):
$.fn.datetimepicker.defaults.minDate = moment({y: 1800});
You COULD change this in the source JS for Umbraco, but you'd lose the change if you updated Umbraco at any point. Your best bet is to add it as a script, and include it in your back offices pages using a package manifest in the app_plugins folder, something like this:
{
"javascript" : [
'~/App_Plugins/YourFolder/yourfile.js'
]
}
Where your file sets the variable.

How can I change the language for Sorting on PF DataTable component with reflow = "true" (so responsive Datatable)?
The problem is that on mobile screen, we can sort data from auto-generated dropdown where we have our sort options, see picture bellow. How can I change the language for this dropdown?
I'm using PF 6.0.
The intended way to do this is to define the following properties in your resource files (see Messages.properties)
primefaces.datatable.SORT_LABEL = Sort
primefaces.datatable.SORT_ASC = Ascending
primefaces.datatable.SORT_DESC = Descending
You can see this when you look at the DatatableRender of primefaces.
Notice i18n is done in different ways in primefaces. Some components like calendar or schedule must be translated via javascript. See here
I never ran into this or used it, but I know the source is open. So I went to the javascript file for the datatable. There I searched for 'Ascending' and via this.ascMessage, I ended up on line 170 where 'datatable.sort.ASC' is used as a key.
This in turn points to line 619 in core.js
getAriaLabel: function(key) {
var ariaLocaleSettings = this.getLocaleSettings()['aria'];
return (ariaLocaleSettings&&ariaLocaleSettings[key]) ? ariaLocaleSettings[key] : PrimeFaces.locales['en_US']['aria'][key];
},
Where you can see the normal PrimeFaces locale functionality is used.
So using your own locale and overriding this part in it, like in the default locale
aria: {
'paginator.PAGE': 'Page {0}',
'calendar.BUTTON': 'Show Calendar',
'datatable.sort.ASC': 'activate to sort column ascending',
'datatable.sort.DESC': 'activate to sort column descending',
'columntoggler.CLOSE': 'Close'
}
Will solve your issue I would expect

I'm looking for a way to change sapui5 language at runtime based on the loggedin user language. I have the i18n properties file in place. The challenge that I'm facing is to change the text on the FileUploader button. This text is not being picked up from the properties file. It is always 'Browse'
I'm using sap.ui.commons.FileUploader()
var FileUploader = new sap.ui.commons.FileUploader({
id: "fileUploader_id",
fileType: "zip",
uploadOnChange: false,
buttonText: oBundle.getText(FILEUPLOADER_BUTTON_TEXT),
tooltip: oBundle.getText(FILEUPLOADER_BUTTON_TIP),
});
Similar problem with the table when there is no data. The table displays 'No data' in english instead I want it to be in a user specific language.
The "buttonText" property from sap.ui.unified.FileUploader is not working?
I just gave it a try to see and the button's label changed accordingly.
<u:FileUploader buttonText="{i18n>browseText}"></u:FileUploader>
In older versions of SAPUI5 (using commons library), the button Text can be changed by overwriting the standard buttonText parameter. i.e., in this case the standard "FILEUPLOAD_BROWSE" has to be overwritten in the local i18n.properties file. We cannot use the name that suites us (like FILEUPLOADER_BUTTON_TEXT).
We have a Magento Shop with some products that have custom options as radio buttons. Every non required option has the first button checked by default but not the required ones. How can I make them checked?
I've allready installed the extension Dependent Custom Options (gallery). That gives me the option to set which custom option should be checked by default but that doesn't update the price to the right value.
Thanks for evey help
This solution may not be the best for you, but I had this same problem, and just fixed it.
First I had to use a convoluted method for installing jQuery correctly in Magento. Part of the problem, I believe comes from the Spriptaculous Effects file being outdated with the latest Magento build. So I went to the site www.script.aculo.us and downloaded the latest version. I then pulled out the effects.js file and used it to overwrite the effects.js in:
[Magento]/js/scriptaculous
Then I downloaded jQuery from the jQuery site and made a folder called jquery in:
[Magento]/js/
And dumped the jquery file in there.
Then I opened the file:
[Magento]/app/design/frontend/default/default/layout/page.xml
And found a list of lines that look like this:
<action method="addJs"><script>scriptaculous/effects.js</script></action>
I copied one of these and replaced the path to that of the jquery file like this.
<action method="addJs"><script>jquery/jquery-1.6.1.min.js</script></action>
Now jQuery will be included in all your pages.
Important! You have to run jQuery in noConflict() mode. So this is what the JS looks like that (for me) worked to select the first radio button on any page with custom options.
var $j = jQuery.noConflict();
$j(document).ready(function(){
// auto selects the first input with radio class
$j('.options-list input.radio:first').attr('checked','checked');
});
I saved that file into my jquery folder and linked to it the same way I linked to the jQ library.
Flushed my cache, and voila!
I hope this helps!
You can use jQuery, as Gordon says, but to update the price you need to run opConfig.reloadPrice() function when check. So the code will be something like this:
var $j = jQuery.noConflict();
$j(document).ready(function(){
// auto selects the first input with radio class
$j('.options-list input.radio:first').attr('checked','checked');
opConfig.reloadPrice();
});
There is a javascript function named something like optionsConfig.reloadPrice() which, when called, updates the price according to options. You probably need to have this triggered during the dom:loaded event.
Go to app\code\core\Mage\Catalog\Block\Product\View\Options\Type\select.php
You can find here your custom option title and set if condition with your title.
For example, my custom option title is price:
if($this->htmlEscape($_option->getTitle()=='Price'))
I have a website with several views, and most of them have a jqGrid on them.
I'd like to set some base options on all my jqgrids. For example, I'd like the view option to always be set to true, and the search option to always be set to false.
Additionally, there are several that I'd like to have the same button labels.
Is there any way to do this with a jqGrid?
Look at the answer which shows how to set default settings jQuery.jgrid.nav. In your case it would be
jQuery.extend(jQuery.jgrid.nav,
{search:false,view:true, viewtext:"View label", viewtitle:"View tooltip"}
);
Other default settings you can change in the same way using jQuery.jgrid.del, jQuery.jgrid.view and of course jQuery.jgrid.defaults.
You don't need to place the code inside of jQuery(document).ready(function() {/**/});. It is enough just ecxecute the code like jQuery.extend(jQuery.jgrid.nav, {search:false,view:true}); inside a JavaScript file loaded after the jquery.jqGrid.min.js.
You could add an additional script tag to your HTML that references a JS file with some base configuration stuff for the grid in a $().ready(function() {}); block.
You could also create a base configuration function or variable that you store in that external JS, and reference that configuration on each view page.
I would prefer to write the base function, and not the ready event handler as the ready handler will NOT run at a predictable time. You won't know if it properly ran before your jqGrid configure function ran.
