Joomla 2.5.28 to 3.5.1 upgrade issue - joomla

working on upgrading my site from 2.5.28 to 3.4.1 and get the error
Duplicate entry '801' for key 'PRIMARY' SQL=INSERT INTO `#__extensions` (`extension_id`, `name`, `type`, `element`, `folder`, `client_id`, `enabled`, `access`, `protected`, `manifest_cache`, `params`, `custom_data`, `system_data`, `checked_out`, `checked_out_time`, `ordering`, `state`) VALUES (801, 'weblinks', 'package', 'pkg_weblinks', '', 0, 1, 1, 0, '', '', '', '', 0, '0000-00-00 00:00:00', 0, 0);
think the url was something like install.finalise
when I reloaded the page I saw this error
1091 Can't DROP 'usertype'; check that column/key exists SQL=ALTER TABLE `#__users` DROP INDEX `usertype`;
Any thoughts?

It appears this issue may be caused by excess SQL files from a previous upgrade (e.g. from Joomla 1.5, 1.6 or 1.7).

Try reinstalling Weblinks which you can download from the JED at: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/official-extensions/weblinks
If this doesn't work you could try uninstalling and reinstalling Weblinks (but back up your website first in case your Weblinks data is deleted).
Can't DROP 'usertype'

There are around 8-10 of such errors each time I make a new event.
Can you please help me with this issue?
I already reinstalled mac os sierra few times,
but it made no difference.
What fixed it for me was a new clean install of the Mac OS.
Now I don't get the same issue (and Calendar is a pleasure to use),
but if the issue re-appears I will make an update.

Can't upload images to Redmine anymore

For some strange reason I can't upload images to tickets in Redmine anymore. I can upload a txt file or zip files. When I upload an image in the ticket it either says "Service Unavailable" or "Unprocessable". Weird thing is that it used to work. We updated to the latest Redmine (2.6.0.stable)
I looked at the production.log and this is the error (Can't verify CSRF token authenticity):

It turns out that this was a Varnish Issue. We got around this problem by adding this Varnish rule:
if (req.http.host ~ "my\.domain\.com$") {
return (pipe);
}
Here are some debugging things we did to try to figure out the problem.
Temporarily added config.action_controller.allow_forgery_protection = false to application.rb. When we tried to upload an image it I get a Popup: login required for Server on Redmine API. This gave me a clue that it must have been some kind of server issue.
Created additional_environment.rb and enabled config.log_level = :debug. This added more debug info to the log file.

Magento page freeze/blank after account creation

RE: EE v1.10.1.1
Hello,
Recently I've discovered that registration process page freezes after a user submits the form to create an account. It dies on '/customer/account/createpost/'.
Seems to die on this line in the /app/code/core/Mage/Customer/controllers/AccountController.php around line #325 ($session->setCustomerAsLoggedIn($customer);).
It seems to choke on an invalid/empty session when going to set user as logged in. Only after refreshing the frozen page wlll it logs/displays an error. I haven't found any other errors/warnings/messages that are logged... in any of the logs (to include server logs):
a:5:{i:0;s:62:"Mage registry key "_singleton/customer/session" already exists";i:1;s:1247:"#0 /server_path/html/app/Mage.php(192): Mage::throwException('Mage registry k...')
#1 /server_path/html/app/Mage.php(446): Mage::register('_singleton/cust...', Object(Mage_Customer_Model_Session))
#2 /server_path/html/app/code/core/Mage/Customer/controllers/AccountController.php(50): Mage::getSingleton('customer/sessio...')
#3 /server_path/html/app/code/core/Mage/Customer/controllers/AccountController.php(75): Mage_Customer_AccountController->_getSession()
#4 /server_path/html/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Controller/Varien/Action.php(409): Mage_Customer_AccountController->preDispatch()
#5 /server_path/html/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Controller/Varien/Router/Standard.php(253): Mage_Core_Controller_Varien_Action->dispatch('create')
#6 /server_path/html/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Controller/Varien/Front.php(176): Mage_Core_Controller_Varien_Router_Standard->match(Object(Mage_Core_Controller_Request_Http))
#7 /server_path/html/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/App.php(340): Mage_Core_Controller_Varien_Front->dispatch()
#8 /server_path/html/app/Mage.php(627): Mage_Core_Model_App->run(Array)
#9 /server_path/html/index.php(95): Mage::run('', 'store')
#10 {main}";s:3:"url";s:25:"/customer/account/create/";s:11:"script_name";s:10:"/index.php";s:4:"skin";s:2:"sg";}
The next line (#326) sends the welcome email. If line #325 is commented out then the email is still sent and, if this is done, the very first attempt to login to their account chokes on '/customer/account/loginPost/' on line #137:
$session->login($login['username'], $login['password']);
Refreshing the page one time displays the dashboard.
Either way the account appears to be created properly and account functionality is normal afterwards, no other login issues.
There have been a few recent changes, but none of them should have anything to do with the customer and/or customer/sessions... at least not that I'm aware of.
By chance does anyone have an idea on any common potential magento pitfalls in code... where I could have done something indirectly in another script/mod that would cause something like this?
I've been going over this way longer than I should and feel I've circled back to the starting point without any leads/success. I kinda feel like I'm missing/overlooking something obvious. Any input, thoughts, suggestions or ideas are appreciated.
Thanks.
Respectfully,
JamesD
Note: The last time I personally checked this functionality was a month or two ago and it wasn't doing this. I have made/added a few custom mods since, but again they should not be 'directly' connected to customers and/or customer sessions.
Also, over a year ago we did add some additions to the 'customer_login' and 'customer_before_save' events, but there haven't been any issues with them in the past, so I wouldn't think either of these would be the cause.. The only other change would be a Magento upgrade from EE 1.9 to 1.10.
Empty session example....
Here's what the session looks like when the page chokes:

The error you describe should raise here (magento CE 1.7.0.2 for reference):
// app/Mage.php:472
$registryKey = '_singleton/'.$modelClass;
if (!self::registry($registryKey)) {
self::register($registryKey, self::getModel($modelClass, $arguments));
}
So it is checked immediatly before the registration wether this key exists. I don't think, the EE code does something else. So the question you have to answer is: Why is !self::registry($registryKey) false?
You have luck I dug deeper. I think the creation of the Session-Object fails and returns false. This means the check for the key is true, but the check in Mage::register() failse, because it checks with isset():
// app/Mage.php:216
public static function register($key, $value, $graceful = false)
{
if (isset(self::$_registry[$key])) {
if ($graceful) {
return;
}
self::throwException('Mage registry key "'.$key.'" already exists');
// [...]
The question is: why fails the creation of the session object.
The problem has been solved.
The problem stemmed from a change in a file that I was unaware of.
That change apparently caused a loop (where it was dying) throwing a 'Cannot redeclare' message. Caused from a 'require' statement in a file that was being called multiple times.
The only way I found this out was from a custom API. I used it to test the account creation functionality and fortunately the Soap handler was able to throw the error and log it within the Magento error.log (which it never did before). That 'redeclare' error message was in there and led me to the file that had been changed.
Thanks to all of you for your input.

InstantCommons not working in MediaWiki 1.19 and SELinux

I am setting my own MediaWiki website locally, and am not able to get the InstantCommons feature to work (used to directly embed files from commons.wikimedia.org).
I get no error message, the files I try to load from Commons using the following syntax:
[[File:Cervus elaphus Luc Viatour 1.jpg|Cervus elaphus Luc Viatour 1]]
are just not loaded, and I end up with a red link on my page, referring to a non-existing file. It has been 2 days now that I am looking for a solution, but so far without any success.
I am running:
MediaWiki v.1.19.1
Fedora 16 (with SElinux)
PHP 5.3.15
MySQL Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.25a, for Linux (x86_64)
I have tried the following two configurations in my LocalSettings.php, without success:
$wgUseInstantCommons = true;
AND
$wgForeignFileRepos[] = array(
'class' => 'ForeignAPIRepo',
'name' => 'shared',
'apibase' => 'http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/api.php',
'fetchDescription' => true, // Optional
'descriptionCacheExpiry' => 43200, // 12 hours, optional (values are seconds)
'apiThumbCacheExpiry' => 43200, // 12 hours, optional, but required for local thumb caching
);
Any suggestion is most welcome.
OK, this is not (yet) an answer, but a debugging suggestion. It looks to me like the HTTP request from your server to Commons is failing for some reason, but unfortunately ForeignAPIRepo doesn't indicate the cause of the error in any way.
This is really a bug in MediaWiki, and should be fixed, but in the mean time, could you please try applying the following diff (or just manually adding the line marked with the + sign) to your includes/filerepo/ForeignAPIRepo.php file:
Index: includes/filerepo/ForeignAPIRepo.php
===================================================================
--- includes/filerepo/ForeignAPIRepo.php (revision 97048)
+++ includes/filerepo/ForeignAPIRepo.php (working copy)
## -385,6 +385,7 ##
if ( $status->isOK() ) {
return $req->getContent();
} else {
+ wfDebug( "ForeignAPIRepo: HTTP GET failed: " . $status->getXML() );
return false;
}
}
After applying it, try loading the file description page for a Commons image and look at the MediaWiki debug log. There should now be a line starting with ForeignAPIRepo: HTTP GET failed: followed by a few lines of XML error dump. That error data should hopefully indicate what's going wrong; please copy and paste it here.
Mine is not a definitive answer either. Referring to Ilmari Karonen's post, I was unable to find or get the getXML() method to execute for my version of Mediawiki v1.23.0. I was looking at the reference documentation found here to try and find any other method calls on the Status class that would give me good troubleshooting info. I ended up finding the following and editing the same file as mentioned in Ilmari Karonen's post includes/filerepo/ForeignAPIRepo.php beginning at line #521:
if ( $status->isOK() ) {
return $req->getContent();
} else {
$error = $status->getErrorsArray();
$dump = print_r($error, true);
wfDebug("ForeignAPIRepo: HTTP GET failed: $dump\n");
return false;
}
The default InstantCommons configuration of older MediaWikis is a bit silly. Due to T114098 I recommend one of the following, which will hopefully fix your problems:
upgrade to MediaWiki 1.27 (when it's released), or
set your LocalSettings.php to hotlink images to save on server-side requests and processing.
$wgUseInstantCommons = false;
$wgForeignFileRepos[] = array(
'class' => 'ForeignAPIRepo',
'name' => 'commonshotlink',
'apibase' => 'https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/api.php',
'hashLevels' => 2,
'url' => 'https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons',
'thumbUrl' => 'https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb',
'transformVia404' => true,
'fetchDescription' => true,
'descriptionCacheExpiry' => 43200,
'apiThumbCacheExpiry' => 24 * 3600,
);

" URL not found 404 error" after the 3rd page during Magento installation

I have been trying to install Magento 1.6 latest version and sample data magento sample-data- 1.1.2 but all in vain.I cannot get past the 3rd page,where database,username,URL etc information is added.When I click the continue button,I get 404 error “URL not found“ .After google search I found out that some guys reported similar problems that lead to some php files accessing the Mysql server.Those files seemed to have a syntax error of some kind.My problem is of similar nature but leads to a diffrent php file having an 'an access voilation'error.The url points to the report directory inside magento/var.
This is my report file in Public_html/magento/var/report
a:5:{i:0;s:223:"Error in file: "/home/archy/public_html/magento/app/code/core/Mage/Directory/sql/directory_setup/mysql4-upgrade-0.8.2-0.8.3.php" - SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1062 Duplicate entry 'AX' for key 'PRIMARY'";i:1;s:1022:"#0 /home/archy/public_html/magento/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Resource/Setup.php(645): Mage::exception('Mage_Core', 'Error in file: ...')
I don’t understand how to solve the problem.Has anyone experienced similar problems.
New Addition..
I am really struggling with Magento!! I tried to install magento on my desktop(local server) after a failed attempt on my laptop(above).But I get I "Object not found error 404" after clicking the continue button in the configuration section of my installation.I have double checked my permissions on media, var,app directories.They are all 777.Sample date was installed before starting installation.The only option that I commented out in .htaccess was the the ExpireDefault which was causing "Internal Server Error"before being removed.
