I have this line of code that only has 2 options. If it is Provider Payments then use the provider_payments_work_lists_path else use the duplicate_claims_work_lists_path. Now I want to include a potential 3rd path. if the name == "Reimbursed Claims" then path them to reimbursed_claims_work_lists_path. How can I do that? Currently I have:
url = (workList.work_list_name == "Provider Payments") ? provider_payments_work_lists_path : duplicate_claims_work_lists_path
Just use a case statement:
url = case workList.work_list_name
when 'Provider Payments'
provider_payments_work_lists_path
when 'Reimbursed Claims'
reimbursed_claims_work_lists_path
else
duplicate_claims_work_lists_path
end

Currently i am trying to automate the start mode in windows server services. i tried to use puppetlabs registry but realized that the module didn't work as i expected.
Basically i have list of windows services that i need to update on each server but on some servers, the services might not exist, but puppetlabs registry will just create the new key if it's not exist which is not the expected behaviour. By right, it should work as mentioned below:
Check whether the service is in the servers or not
If it does, then update the start mode as mentioned inside the manifest/hiera
If not exist, just do nothing and skip to the next service immediately
Based from what i knew, it seems the only way to check whether the service key exist or not is by using custom function. So i already tried to write some custom function using win32/registry, but was unsuccessful by getting some error such as Win32API not supported. Another way i can think of is using the reg command line to check whether the key exist or not. Here is the puppet code functions:
module Puppet::Parser::Functions
newfunction(:check_winservice_exist, :type => :rvalue) do |args|
service_name = args[0]
unless args.length > 0 then
raise Puppet::ParseError, ("check_winservice_exist(): wrong number of arguments (#{args.length}; must be > 0)")
end
command = "reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\#{service_name} /f DisplayName"
result = system command
return result
#if result == true
# return result
#else
# return result
#end
end
end
When i run the simplified ruby scripts in command line, it works and return the expected value. But when i used above scripts as puppet custom functions, it always return empty.
This is my first time to write a puppet custom functions so i am not sure what i did wrong here. Please advise whether there are another alternative that i can use to resolve the issue or maybe advise on what i did wrong on the functions script
I managed to resolve this issue by using custom facter as suggested by Matt. Just sharing the custom facter scripts that i used. It might not be perfect as i am still not really proficient in using ruby.
require 'win32/registry'
Facter.add(:winservices) do
confine :kernel => "windows"
setcode do
keyname= 'SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services'
access = Win32::Registry::KEY_ALL_ACCESS
arr = []
winservices_list = []
Win32::Registry::HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.open(keyname, access) do |reg|
service_lists = (reg.each_key { |key, wtime| arr.push key })
arr.each do |service|
service_key = "SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\#{service}"
begin
Win32::Registry::HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.open(service_key, access) do |reg|
value = reg['Start']
winservices_list.push service
end
rescue
end
end
winservices_list
end
end
end
And it simply works just by adding simply checking whether the service name is in the array or not
if $service_name in $facts['winservices'] {
service { "${service_name}":
provider => 'windows',
enable => $start_real,
}
}
here is a part of my perl cgi script (which is working..):
use Net::LDAP;
use Net::LDAP::Entry;
...
$edn = "DC=xyz,DC=com";
$quser ="(&(objectClass=user)(cn=$username))";
$ad = Net::LDAP->new("ip_address...");
$ldap_msg=$ad->bind("$username\#xyz.com", password=>$password);
my $result = $ad->search( base=>$edn,
scope=>"sub",
filter=>$quser);
my $entry;
my $myname;
my $emailad;
my #entries = $result->entries;
foreach $entry (#entries) {
$myname = $entry->get_value("givenName");
$emailad = $entry->get_value("mail");
}
So basically, there is no admin/manager account for AD, users credentials are used for binding. I need to implement the same thing in grails..
+Is there a way to configure the plugin to search several ADs, I know I can add more ldap IPs in context.server but for each server I need a different search base...
++ I dont wanna use my DB, just AD. User logins through ldap > I get his email, and use the email for another ldap query but that will probably be another topic :)
Anyway the code so far is:
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.context.managerDn = ''
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.context.managerPassword = ''
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.context.server = 'ldap://address:389'
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.authorities.ignorePartialResultException = true
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.search.base = 'DC=xyz,DC=com'
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.authenticator.useBind=true
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.authorities.retrieveDatabaseRoles = false
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.search.filter="sAMAccountName={0}"
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.search.searchSubtree = true
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.auth.hideUserNotFoundExceptions = false
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.search.attributesToReturn =
['mail', 'givenName']
grails.plugin.springsecurity.providerNames=
['ldapAuthProvider',anonymousAuthenticationProvider']
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.useRememberMe = false
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.authorities.retrieveGroupRoles = false
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.authorities.groupSearchBase ='DC=xyz,DC=com'
grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.authorities.groupSearchFilter = 'member={0}'
And the error code is: [LDAP: error code 1 - 000004DC: LdapErr: DSID-0C0906E8, comment: In order to perform this operation a successful bind must be completed on the connection., data 0, v1db1
And it's the same code for any user/pass I try :/
Heeeeelp! :)
The most important thing with grails and AD is to use ActiveDirectoryLdapAuthenticationProvider rather than LdapAuthenticationProvider as it will save a world of pain. To do this, just make the following changes:
In resources.groovy:
// Domain 1
ldapAuthProvider1(ActiveDirectoryLdapAuthenticationProvider,
"mydomain.com",
"ldap://mydomain.com/"
)
// Domain 2
ldapAuthProvider2(ActiveDirectoryLdapAuthenticationProvider,
"mydomain2.com",
"ldap://mydomain2.com/"
)
In Config.groovy:
grails.plugin.springsecurity.providerNames = ['ldapAuthProvider1', 'ldapAuthProvider2']
This is all the code you need. You can pretty much remove all other grails.plugin.springsecurity.ldap.* settings in Config.groovy as they don't apply to this AD setup.

I am using the following script
http://www.sonassi.com/knowledge-base/magento-kb/mass-update-stock-levels-in-magento-fast/
It works beautifully with the test CSV file.
My POS creates a CSV file but it puts a different heading so the script does not work. I want to automate the process. Is there any way to change the names of headers automatically?
The script requires the headers to be
“sku”,”qty”
my CSV is
“ITEM”,”STOCK”
Is there any way for these two different names to be linked within the script so that my script sees ITEM as sku and STOCK as qty?
You should create a php script with an input of the yourfilename.csv, which is the unformatted file.
$file = file_get_contents('yourfilename.csv');
$file = str_replace('ITEM', 'sku', $file);
$file = str_replace('STOCK', 'qty', $file);
file_put_contents('yourfilename.csv', $file);
The below links are for your reference.
find and replace values in a flat-file using PHP

Hope it helps.
Cheers
PHP isn't usually the best way to go for file manipulation granting the fact you have SSH access.
You could also run the following commands (if you have perl installed, which is default in most setups...):
perl -pi -e 's/ITEM/sku/g' /path/to/your/csvfile.csv
perl -pi -e 's/STOCK/qty/g' /path/to/your/csvfile.csv
If you want qty update using raw sql way then you can create a function like below:
function _updateStocks($data){
$connection = _getConnection('core_write');
$sku = $data[0];
$newQty = $data[1];
$productId = _getIdFromSku($sku);
$attributeId = _getAttributeId();
$sql = "UPDATE " . _getTableName('cataloginventory_stock_item') . " csi,
" . _getTableName('cataloginventory_stock_status') . " css
SET
csi.qty = ?,
csi.is_in_stock = ?,
css.qty = ?,
css.stock_status = ?
WHERE
csi.product_id = ?
AND csi.product_id = css.product_id";
$isInStock = $newQty > 0 ? 1 : 0;
$stockStatus = $newQty > 0 ? 1 : 0;
$connection->query($sql, array($newQty, $isInStock, $newQty, $stockStatus, $productId));
}
And call the above function by passing csv row data as arguments. This is just a hint.

Hey all,
I am building a gui in wich there is an edit box, waiting for the user to write a name.
Currently I force the user to give a legitimate name with this code :
NewPNUName = get(handles.nameOfNewPNU, 'String');
if ( isempty(NewPNUName) ||...
strcmp(NewPNUName,'Enter the name for the new PNU') )
errordlg('Please enter a name for the new PNU.');
elseif (~ischar(NewPNUName(1)))
errordlg('The PNU name should start with a letter.');
else
handles.NewPNUName = NewPNUName;
end
if (~isempty(handles.NewPNUName))
% Do all the things needed if there is a legit name
end
What it does is nothing if the user didn't write a legit name.
What I want it to do is to make a popup with an edit box, asking the user to input the wanted name again, until it is a legitimate name.
Thanks for the help!
EDIT:
following #woodchips advice I corrected my code to the foloowing:
NewPNUName = get(handles.nameOfNewPNU, 'String');
ValidName = ~isempty(NewPNUName) && isletter(NewPNUName(1)) &&...
~strcmp(NewPNUName,'Enter the name for the new PNU');
while (~ValidName)
if ( isempty(NewPNUName) ||...
strcmp(NewPNUName,'Enter the name for the new PNU') )
NewPNUName = char(inputdlg('Please enter a name for the new PNU.','No name entered'));
elseif (~isletter(NewPNUName(1)))
NewPNUName = char(inputdlg('The name of the new PNU should start with a letter. Please enter a new name',...
'Invalid name entered'));
else
allConds = 'are met'
end
ValidName = ~isempty(NewPNUName) && isletter(NewPNUName(1)) &&...
~strcmp(NewPNUName,'Enter the name for the new PNU');
end
So, put a while loop around a block of code, that generates an inputdlg box. Set the condition on the while loop to be that the result is a valid one.
I am trying to put second language on my webpage. I decided to use different files for different languages told apart by path - language/pl/projects.ln contains Polish text, language/en/projects.ln - English. Those extensions are just to tell language files from other, the content is simple php:
$lang["desc"]["fabrics"]["title"] = "MATERIAŁY";
$lang["desc"]["fabrics"]["short_text"] = "Jakiś tam tekst na temat materiałów";
$lang["desc"]["services"]["title"] = "USŁUGI";
$lang["desc"]["services"]["short_text"] = "Jakiś tam tekst na temat usłóg";
And then on the index page I use it like so:
session_start();
if (isset($_SESSION["lang"])) {
$language = $_SESSION["lang"];
} else {
$language = "pl";
}
include_once("language/$language/projects.ln");
print $lang["desc"]["fabrics"]["title"];
The problem is that if the session variable is not set everything works fine and array item content is displayed but once I change and set $_SESSION["lang"] nothing is displayed. I tested if the include itself works as it should by putting print "sth"; at the beginning of projects.ln file and that works all right both with $_SESSION["lang"] set and unset.
Please help.
Can you test the return value of session_start() - if it's false, it failed to start the session.
Is it being called before you output anything to the browser? If headers were already sent and your error_reporting level is too low, you won't even see the error message.
Stupid, but - do you set value of $_SESSION['lang'] to valid value like "en"? Does the English translation load correctly when you use it as default value in else block instead of "pl"?
"Jakiś tam tekst na temat usłóg" -> "usług" :)
Can you tell us what does this one output:
if(session_start()) {
echo SID, '<br/>';
if(isset($_SESSION['lang'])) {
echo 'lang = "',$_SESSION['lang'], '"';
}
}
Session starts fine and accidentally I managed to fix it.
I renamed $_SESSION['lang'] to $_SESSION['curr_lang'] and it now works allright. It seams like it didn't like the array and session variable having the same name (?).
