“/etc/php/7.0/apache2/conf.d” is a directory.

# See http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/ for detailed information about
# the directives and /usr/share/doc/apache2/README.Debian about Debian specific

#
#
# Summary of how the Apache 2 configuration works in Debian:
# The Apache 2 web server configuration in Debian is quite different to
# upstream's suggested way to configure the web server. This is because Debian's
# default Apache2 installation attempts to make adding and removing modules,
# virtual hosts, and extra configuration directives as flexible as possible, in
# order to make automating the changes and administering the server as easy as
# possible.
# It is split into several files forming the configuration hierarchy outlined
# below, all located in the /etc/apache2/ directory:
#
# /etc/apache2/
# |-- apache2.conf
# | `-- ports.conf
# |-- mods-enabled
# | |-- *.load
# | `-- *.conf
# |-- conf-enabled
# | `-- *.conf
# `-- sites-enabled
# `-- *.conf
#
#
# * apache2.conf is the main configuration file (this file). It puts the pieces
# together by including all remaining configuration files when starting up the
# web server.
#
# * ports.conf is always included from the main configuration file. It is
# supposed to determine listening ports for incoming connections which can be
# customized anytime.
#
# * Configuration files in the mods-enabled/, conf-enabled/ and sites-enabled/
# directories contain particular configuration snippets which manage modules,
# global configuration fragments, or virtual host configurations,
# respectively.
#
# They are activated by symlinking available configuration files from their
# respective *-available/ counterparts. These should be managed by using our
# helpers a2enmod/a2dismod, a2ensite/a2dissite and a2enconf/a2disconf. See
# their respective man pages for detailed information.
#
# * The binary is called apache2. Due to the use of environment variables, in
# the default configuration, apache2 needs to be started/stopped with
# /etc/init.d/apache2 or apache2ctl. Calling /usr/bin/apache2 directly will not
# work with the default configuration.

I installed Laravel 8 on Ubuntu with apache2 as web server. The project name is test. When I go to localhost/test/public it redirects to localhost/public/public. But localhost/test is OK and show the files. No .htaccess is in root directory and this is the content of apache2.conf
#This is the main Apache server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/ for detailed information about
# the directives and /usr/share/doc/apache2/README.Debian about Debian specific
# hints.
#

Under the /var/www directory configuration I set AllowOverride All which already was AllowOverride None. I also restarted the apache.
Thanks in advance.
We installed Varnish but it was not work out like supposed to be.
I setup Varnish to listen on Port 80 and Apache to listen on 8080.
When i restart varnish and apache the pages keep loading and loading..
I also tried to disable CSF..
After that it shows:

Your httpd.conf tells Apache to listen on port 80 too. Either Apache or Varnish will not be able to start.
Varnish listens on port 80 on your public server. Apache can run on port 80 - but on a separate server. If you are running them both, Varnish and Apache, on the same server than Apache needs to run on a different port, e.g., port 8080.

It's very confusing to handle on my own because I can't even find any clue except the error shown on FileZilla.
FTP is important for me to config my server, it would be a big help if you can give any clue, thank you.
Also, I may as well use another FTP server, any suggestion?
sudo chown -R user:root /var/www/
then
chown -R user:www-data /var/www
change user
And I finally come up with a solution - changing the permission of my folder
Which can be found here
Using Virtualmin on my Ubuntu instance in AWS Cloud, I’ve created a virtual server, but FTP doesn’t work. It connects, but gives this error:
Command: MLSD
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
I already opened ports 20 and 21 on Amazon security.
Here is my full proftpd.conf:
