tableau server 500 error - hortonworks-data-platform

I was getting an Tableau server error(500) when trying to open workbook in Tableau server:"Data source exception:[Hortonworks]Hardy Error from server code: '0' error message: ExecuteStatement finished with operation state".
However, no error found when opening the workbook with Tableau Desktop.
Any idea on this error?

This error is most commonly encountered when a Tableau Desktop user publishes a workbook that uses a data source that is local to their computer or is otherwise inaccessible by Tableau Server.
Make sure your server run as account has access to the data source your are trying to connect to.

Connect PowerBI to Google Big Query through a proxy server (corporate network)

We are trying to make a connection from PowerBI Desktop, to the Google Big Query Database. Upon starting the app and immediately after trying to make the connection to the Google Data Source, we get the error below:
Unable to Connect
We encountered an error.
Details: "ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][DriverOAuthSupport] (8701) Error interacting with REST API: Couldn't resolve host name
ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][DriverOAuthSupport] (8701) Error interacting with REST
API: Couldn't resolve host name"
I suppose that it has something to do with the proxy used inside our corporate environment but i haven't found anything so far on what urls/ports should be opened in order for this connection to work.
Please do keep in mind that this is a new business need and it is not something that worked and stopped working.

Oracle Business Intelligence 12c Error 500

I have installed Oracle Business Intelligence.
I try connect to BI Analytics servies.
I can open link http://hostname:8502/analytics/ and see page with login name and password. Then I try log in and after that i get error:
Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
What can be the reason?
I had the same problem and the underlying problem was that BI services were not up and running. To be more specific, "BI Presentation Services" looks like the required one to show the dashboard after login.
You can execute $ORACLE_HOME\user_projects\domains\bi\bitools\bin\start.cmd to start all BI services as specified at http://aditya-kaushal.blogspot.cz/2015/11/obiee12-how-to-start-and-stop-bi.html. In fact, that script also verifies if BI and Admin domains are running as well.

Linq failing to connect... or is it?

I have a web-application which is reciving the following while trying to connect to a database hosted on another server.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)
Now, there problem here is that the connection strings, and the server paths area all perfect.
The site run correctly when run via cassini, on my local machine. (Connections strings are correct.)
Other sites hosted on the same server are able to access the databse. (Server paths ara all active.)
While the error says it's been unable to connect, Activity Monitor is aware of the query, and the Server Logs show no error. (Just odd.)
Google & Bing have massively failed with this, so I guess it's time to hit the Stack!
Open the Sql Server Conifguration Manager, expand Sql Server 2005 Network Configuration, click Protocols for <Yourserverinstance>, then check TCP/IP is enabled.
