Kendo Grid sorting a different order - kendo-ui

We have a column being displayed in text, however the sort over should be numeric.
Is it possible for order a sortable column in the Kendo UI grid by a customisable order, in my case by a numeric field?

You should be able to use the sortable.compare-function of the column: http://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/ui/grid#configuration-columns.sortable.compare

Kendo UI for Angular Exporting selected rows to Excel

I'm using Kendo UI for Angular and I am trying to export my grid to Excel. I have implemented a solution like this: https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/grid/export/excel-export/
and it does work. It exports all rows in my grid. My problem is that I only want to export selected rows. I haven't been able to successfully filter the allData method to only export selected rows.
It looks to me like the process method called from within the allData method can take a State object that has a filter: component. But for the life of me I can't seem to get it to work. Can anybody point me to a simple example where the selected rows only are exported to Excel?

I have implemented selected rows and selection key to be entire row so that when I export i can retrieve the selected rows and modified export allData to export selection data if exists.If selection doesnot exists then exports all data.

Multiple sort on Kendo Grid columns / DataSource - set sorting dynamically

What I'm trying to accomplish is to apply an "automatic" secondary column sort when a user sorts a column in a kendo grid.
So in this JS fiddle example, if a user sorts by "Value", it'll also sort by "Name". Note that the 0s are sorted together, but the names aren't alphabetical. I'd like them to be alphabetical (the secondary sort).
Here's an attempt at overriding the datasource sorting to accomplish this. I'm taking the user's original sort and the adding an additional sort on "SortedName". Based on the sorting array that's logged, it seems to be close but is still not working.
Any other ideas on how to accomplish this?
Note: I don't want to allow users to sort by multiple columns. The real world example I'm using this for can have up to 50+ columns (unfortunately), so multiple sort can get confusing / unintuitive. And I'd like it to be done behind the scenes without extra user interaction.

Is it possible to show the placeholder where the row will be dropped? From current implementation it's not obvious. So I would like to make something like this:

In the demo above placeholder is showed and it's quite easy to understand where the row will be dropped.
So any ideas?

Kendo Grid wouldn't sort when using Key/Value pair array object

I am using Telerik Kendo Grid; it wouldn't allow to use the sortable functionality of the table when my datasource (array) looks as below:

It renders the country column fine, but when I click on the column the sorting doesn't occur. Below is my Kendo Grid (using AngularJS):

I've just sorted this out. It seems that Kendo's sorting functionality recognises basic array structure, so I had retrieve all Destinations from myArray into a separate array, and use that new array as the datasource.
I used the following method to do so (using underscoreJS):

How I can set and get template columns value/text in kendo Grid

Consider I have a kendo grid like following

It has ItemId, Qty, Price and Total(template) column.
I want to make Qty column editable and want to change total column value with the change of Qty column.
Finally I want to retrieve all the values with new changes using iteration through grid.
Basically the easiest way would be to do this through the MVVM of kendo. Here is an example:
