Provide log files on jenkins pipeline job result page - jenkins-pipeline

I have a jenkins pipeline job which runs a test. During the tests server logs are created. I can download the server logs into the workspace.
Can I somehow put these server logs into the result page of the job so that developers can analyze them?

You can use the archive basic step to archive your logs. It will show a link in the build page.

No results in Sonarqube from SonarLint analysis and connected Sonarqube

I have configured IntelliJ with SonarLint to a connected SonarQube instance in AWS. I am able to run a code analysis in IntelliJ and I do get results back in IntelliJ.
But I want to have these results in Sonarqube. How to do this?
You should have a look on the documentation to see how to :
Install SonarQube : https://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SONAR/Installing+the+Server
Execute an analysis : https://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SCAN
If you have Jenkins you should have 2 jobs: one to build application from branch, another to run SonarQube analysis based on artifacts created by first job (build job). You can create a pipeline: when you push to git (or other repository) first job automatically will be started, when build is done and it’s successful it will trigger job to analyze code in sonar. Try to find configuration examples at https://docs.sonar.org/ or I can send you tomorrow details how we configured our pipeline. P.S. forgot to mention that you need to install SonarQube plugin in Jenkins too.
SonarLint: this tool only open connection to your Sonar server just to get rules for analysis, but analysis is done on your side (localhost) without sending results to Sonar server back. This is how SonarLint works.

Waiting the end of a REPORT task without having Administrator permissions

I am developing a plugin for SonarQube 6.3.1 which execute an analysis and then generate a docx report.
The problem is that I have to wait between these both actions that SonarQube finishes its REPORT task. My plugin is destined to lambda users so without Administrator permissions: so I can not use activityStatus service.
Is there an other way to know if the reporting of a project in SonarQube is terminated? (inside a plugin)
Your analysis take place on the server side ? I think you should run it on a client side, not server side.
Write a plugin with #BatchSide and implements org.sonar.api.batch.postjob.PostJob.
Then your method will execute soon analysis is finish (as you requested)
See https://github.com/SonarSource/sonar-custom-plugin-example/blob/master/src/main/java/org/sonarsource/plugins/example/hooks/DisplayIssuesInScanner.java
And by the way with PostJobContext object you have all infos you need to fill a custom report

Jenkins does not show some builds log and failed builds in history

We have updated our Jenkins CI tool to updated version number is: 1.596.1. The problem is, for some projects, we cannot see the build console log. When we try to see the log, Jenkins responds with 404 error page.
Also, when this problem occurs in a particular job, we have examined that, failed builds are not be shown in the build history list in the job page. Even though we see that there is build from the gerrit history, when I click on the job with the specified ID, I again get the 404 error.
We are using Jenkins with Git/Gerrit, and most builds are triggered from the Gerrit review system.
New information: Jobs that have this problem have also the inconsistent timestamp problem.
It seems that this problem also occurs when Jenkins job is triggered by a patchset creation/merge in Gerrit review system.
What may be the root cause for this problem? Is it the version we're using or some other factor?
This is a persistent problem with Jenkins. A restart, which you can do from the front page when you're authenticated, is the fix. Visit

How to trigger maven specific job in Jenkins with Gerrit

I'm currently using Jenkins(1.451) and the Gerrit Trigger(2.3.1) to launch builds from Gerrit in order to verify code.
This is working fine as long as the project in Jenkins is configured as a "Free style" project. However, I'm currently setting up a new build pipeline where I'm using the "Build a maven2/3 project" option in order to take advantage of maven specific properties which I can't get from the "Free style" option. For some reason, Jenkins doesn't seem to trigger builds using this option. Nothing at all happens when I submit code to Gerrit which under normal circumstances should be picked up. I'm actually wondering if the Gerrit trigger is meant to work with Jenkins projects configured as a maven2/3 job or maybe it is the case that I can only use the Free style option in order to do this.ge
Could anyone confirm if this is the case?
Yes this will work. I suspect you might have some authentication issues that causes your jobs not to be triggered.
Check you sshd_log in the gerrit config folder to see if there are any jenkins logins that result in immediate LOGOUT. I my case I forgot to add Stream Events rights to the Non-Interactive Users under All-Projects and this caused some strange behavior.
This was the message I saw 3x per second in my sshd_log:
jenkins a/1000002 gerrit.stream-events 0ms 0ms not-admin

Check deployment to application server after a build with Jenkins

I have a job configured to automatically deploy an application to a running server. I would like to know if Jenkins provides a way to verify if this application was deployed successfully. Ideally, the build should fail when the deployment fails.
Jenkins has a rundeck plugin which might perhaps be useful.
Rundeck deploys the application, and can be setup to trigger a post-deployment build on Jenkins to perform tasks like running integration tests.
Jenkins could be used to report the status of the deployment, however it might make more sense to use rundeck's dashboard instead.
