I want to show the validation message with OK CANCEL button when i update the current row and move on to other row without saving the current row. Say my validation message "Do you want save the changes?"
1.if CANCEL button clicks it should restore the row content.
2.if OK button clicks it should remains in edit mode with updated values.

Kendo grid. Update only current row in popup, even if other was changed

For example I have many many rows which contains 2 columns: checkbox and input, and popup window with editing. In DataSource I have 'Update' event, which call method for updating from controller.
Question: Is it possible to make such situation: User check checkbox on first row -> open popup for second row -> submit changes. Only second row should be updated, not all.
I want pass to server item only from current row. Actual result is that all changed rows passed to method 'Update'
This situation appears because in my application combined "incell" and "popup" editing for Kendo Grid.

Jqgrid - How to create a custom add-button that you can supply of parameters

When you create a jqgrid there is a default button on the bottom of the grid that allows you to create new records.
However, when you open the modal, all input fields are empty.
In my situation I need this button, but I also need the exact same thing but with the possibilty of adding a few parameters so some of the fields are already filled in. The parameters would come from the selected row at that moment.
Like when I click a row where the date is set to 01/01/2099 i need the add-modal to open with the date already set to that date.
You can use beforeShowForm or afterShowForm to make any changes in the Add Form during opening. For example you can read the values from currently selected row and fill some fields of the form with new values. To be open Add form on click or double-click on the row you need just call editGridRow inside of onSelectRow/ondblClickRow callback.

Slickgrid 2.1 - Apply and Remove Formatters On The Fly (i.e., Depending on Runtime Conditions)

I'm using slickgrid 2.1 and successfully using a formatter for one of my columns in order to display a button that, when clicked, deletes the corresponding row from the grid.
My requirements and question: I need to only display this button in the row the user single-clicks on. When the user clicks one row, then another, the button from the first selected row needs to be hidden and the button on the second selected row needs to be displayed. How can I programmatically do this?
Many thanks.

Preventing callback during validation in ComponentArt grid

I have to validate a couple of fields in the CA grid every time a record is updated/added. The grid is used in the callback mode. What i cannot figure out how to do is cancel the callback if a cell is invalid. I am trying to do this 'onBeforeUpdate' event of the grid. I can call set_cancel(true) to cancel the update. But this will change the row mode from edit to display and i will lose all entered data. What i am trying to do is leave the row in the edit mode when any cell in that row is invalid. One of the things i have thought about but haven't done yet is attempting to change RunningMode to Client, validate the record, and set the RunningMode back to Callback when i'm ready to submit? Any suggestions are very appreciated. Thanks!
Turns out there is a method on the cancel event that allows to leave the row in the edit mode.
eventArgs.set_continue(true);

Telerik RadGrid opening an extra popup edit form when pressing "enter" from a popup form for inserting

I have a radgrid that uses the popup edit mode with a custom edit template. The edit form upon pressing the enter key will insert a new item into the grid. I go in and add an item. This successfully inserts. Then I go to add a second item: The popup form appears. I enter in my data and press the "enter" key to insert the item. This time, instead of inserting the item, my edit form will clear out the data I entered and open another popup edit form to allow editing of my previously inserted item (from the first time). I now have 2 popups (1 for inserting, 1 for updating).
If I click the insert button instead of pressing "enter", then everything works ok. From what I can guess is that it is thinking that I'm pressing the enter on a selected row on the grid. How do I prevent it from triggering the "edit" event while I'm trying to insert?
Thanks
Try adding a panel to the edit template and set the DefaultButton to your Insert button.
<asp:Panel ID="pnlEditor" runat="server" DefaultButton="btnUpdateItem">
