Is there any way to prevent movement / dragging of widgets in a dashing dashboard?
My dashboard works perfectly well but people accidentally move the widgets around. I'd like to fix the dashboard layout to prevent this.

Problem
Using react native web, I am trying to allow for drag to work over a touchable opacity. This will allow mobile users to scroll by dragging over the touchable opacity.
Attempts
Since there are two touchable opacities within a single view, I have been trying to fix it for the view (parent) so that it works for the whole section. So, within the view tag, I have tried handles like: onResponderRelease, onResponderStart, onStartShouldSetResponder, onStartShouldSetResponderCapture, and a few others in an attempt to find something that works, as it seems those handles would fix issues for react native. I have assigned them to false and true, however none of those fixed my issue.
Question
How can I allow components to maintain their ability to be clicked, while also allowing users to click and drag (scroll on mobile)? Thanks for any help!
I have a wordpress site I'm creating using fullpage.js and using the midnight.js with jquery. When I scroll down the logo changes color but it is delayed. for the life of me I cannot figure out where the delay is coming from. Here is the testing site. https://trailheadnc.org
I don't know how midnight.js works, but I know how fullPage.js does :)
Probably the easiest fix you'll be able to find is using the fullPage.js option scrollBar:true.
That should make the site act as any other site, firing the scroll event.
Dealing with css3 transformations might be the cause of midnight.js not working properly. Browsers still have it difficult to achieve certain things and might require the transformations to end to apply the changes.
If you really do not want to show the scroll bar by using scrollBar:true, then you can try using css3:false. This way fullPage.js will change the top property of the site and you might not encounter the same issues you have when dealing with 3d transformations.
I searched for this the solution a lot but I couldn't find any post describing the same "flickering" problem.
You can see a GIF here
Situation
I have a website with a menu, using app-route as in Polymer Starterkit but enhanced with neon-animated-pages.
If you use the menu (Start, My Card, My Dashboard) there is a smooth transition.
Problem
Go to "My Card" and click the enhance card arrow down (tooltip "more info") at the first card.
Now use the menus again and the page transitions are now flickering, as soon as the animation finished. It is like all object are quickly moving somewhere and then back to the position where they should be.
What I have tried
I tried to change CSS, as it seems to "re-align" the objects on the page.
Also I had this problem before when I used javascript to route to another page, but using "a href..." for app-route (as in polymer starterkit), this problem disappeared again.
Anyone have any idea what this can be?
I checked with Chrome, Firefox and IE, seems to be the same everywhere.
Thanks very much for your help!
Kind regards,

Found two more sources on github with the same issue and solutions.
Apparently only slide left/right animation are affected. Using a different animation should help.
Set Element.prototype.animate = null before loading the polyfill.
Flicker after slide animation in neon-animated-pages in Chrome
web-animations-next-lite flicker #86
I would like to develop some animations for my pages or my page content. The approach of which one I should follow is unclear to me at the moment and I'll try to explain why.
What I'd like to achieve is to create a page (or page content) animation with a slide-in from right when navigating to the page and slide-out to left when leaving the page.
The slide-in part can be achieved with ContentThemeTransition from TransitionCollection. But what about the slide-out part?
I can't seem to know or find any good timing regarding when to fire a slide-out animation just before the page is about to be left.
I'dlike not to apply any animation to the page in such way that WP does by default (with some jump-out, jump-in effect). I'd like to be like BasicPage from templates with no animation but with custom animated content upon page enter and page leave.
How could this be achieved?
Thanks in advance.
I assume you are navigating from the page via tapping a button or something similar. Why don't you create a storyboard animation, start that from the Click event handler of the button, and call Frame.Navigate() when the animation has finished playing?
I currently have a series of 8 separate html files, with the idea that each one is a separate page in an iPad app. I have used jQuery Mobile to implement the page swipe between pages by using the 'data-next' and 'data-prev' attribute. However, the results are not great as i sometimes get a page flicker when i swipe, and css animations are very choppy when I test it on an actual iPad. I am also getting a 1 second delay before the actual swipe happens. I know JQM has a default delay of 300ms, but this is waaay longer! I have tried using the css 'translate3d' technique on animated elements, but it doesn't seem to fix it. I'm putting it down to JQM just being buggy as hell.
So my question is this..Is it possible to bring these files into Xcode, as separate independent html files, and implement the page swipe within Xcode itself?
No Not possible.
XCode allows you to create/edit UI and Transitions of cocoa touch controls only. However you can just edit these html/javascript files in XCode.
