What is the difference between WSUS and SCCM ? What is the cost involved for licensing ? Planning to deploy for around 300 clients in 3 different countries.

WSUS is the Microsoft's basic offering for enterprise OS and Microsoft application patching. It is capable of connecting to Microsoft's update catalogue, has a small amount of configuration around scheduling rollouts by groups etc, and limited reporting details on patch deployment.
SCCM has a system role called Software Update Point (SUP). This role has to be installed on WSUS server. When it is set, SCCM can manage updates catalog and binaries to make updates packages. Such as WSUS, packages can be created regarding to classification, products, languages of the update. Once these updates packages is created, it can be deployed with SCCM and use its powerful scheduler.
SCUP (System Centre Updates Publisher) could expand WSUS updates in SCCM. This builds on top of the WSUS infrastructure and components and gives you massively more configuration and reporting, as well as having the ability to connect to other vendors' update catalogues (Adobe, Dell, HP, etc) and also deploy your own custom patches for any apps.

I am working on initiative to create Microsoft Teams Bot (Teams App) for internal use. However, I am lacking information on how to host Teams App/Bot On-Premises. Also, if it is possible, how would it work? Would Client interactions would directly trigger API calls to On-premises services OR would Client interactions send A call to Microsoft Services from which it would trigger On-premises severs? Can I avoid having my On-Prem services publicly exposed and use tools like Microsoft Gateway?
It would be really helpful if Microsoft would provide more videos or material on this framework, as it is really powerful tool.
Also, I hope that this framework will not be replaced with "no code" solution like Power Virtual Agents (those are great, but code based solutions are always better).

When I start kibana, I got the following exception:
LicenseExpiredException[license expired for feature [shield]]
I checked the document and only found that:
The first time you start up the node, a 30 days trial license will
automatically be created which will enable Shield to be fully
operational. Within these 30 days, you will be able to replace the
trial license with another one that will be provided to you up on
purchase.
Isn't shield a free software? Where Could I purchase the license? I can't find it in the document.
I contacted ElasticSearch to know how I could get a license for a personal use. I just have a single server, and want a simple security realm (3 users : admin, logstash, kibana).
Well, the good point is that they called me back one hour after the form submission.
But, the bad point is that they have no plan for personal usages, they just have (for now) a single bundle with everything included:
Professional support (ticket, phone)
License for every software (Marvel, Shield, Watcher)
Tons of cool features
Unfortunately, it fits perfectly for professional usage, because plans are about 1600 $/year/cluster.
I told the support that having no plan for developer was a bad thing, but the only thing she said is "sorry".
So I'm heading toward SearchGuard because it is free.
You can request for the subscription using the following link:-

We have many IIS7.5 web servers which require support from different departments and we would like to avoid giving away too many privileges to certain user groups (security groups in Active Directory).
We would like to take a backup of the IIS configuration, store it in one location for all servers and allow those support units to read/view the configuration instead of accessing the IIS administrative tools directly from each server.
I was thinking of Metabase Explorer which used to be available for IIS 6.0 in Resource Kit. Is there something similar that users can install to their workstations to view the IIS config from different servers?
Or is there a better way to give a security group read only access to IIS configuration on servers?
http://www.iis.net/configreference
Simply copy the applicationHost.config file (along with other XML files necessary). Metabase Explorer is obsolete and should be avoided to be used against IIS 7 and above.
IIS 7 and above does introduce better remote administration support, which you can learn from http://www.iis.net/learn/manage/remote-administration/configuring-remote-administration-and-feature-delegation-in-iis-7
Please treat it seriously as a brand new product, or your IIS 6 knowledge might mislead you.

Currently I have a dedicated server with WHM and Joomla running.
I want to transfer it to new server. This new server has high speed bandwidth.
I only have remote access to the new server which has Win 2008 R2 installed and it shows it was installed on a VM.
I need to configure this server to run a domain name with Joomla which will be access by 10k visitors/month.
I have knowledge on WHM and CPanel only. How I can started with any ready made packages?
The reason my management changed the server is for better performance as current dedicated server is slower.
However, I guess the new server is installed on a VM..
Please guide.
The first thing you need to do is not move your Joomla site to a Windows server. The configuration of the server is critical to the performance of Joomla and you will have nagging issues until the end of time trying to run Joomla on Windows. It can be done, but it's a massive headache and there is absolutely no advantage to doing so. There are dozens of reputable hosting companies that have servers configured specifically to run Joomla optimally. Take a look at Rochen (I have over 50 sites on Rochen) or CloudAccess, both have official relationships with the Joomla project and both have very reasonable pricing.
Also, 10k visitors per month does not require a dedicated server unless all of those users are on simultaneously running SQL query heavy apps. You could easily run a site that size on a managed virtual server and have no performance issues at all. I've got sites with hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors running on a single MVS with no issues at all.

Read the Windows 7 Client Software Logo Program Documentation. http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/E/9/1E9580D9-2B2B-499C-918A-C9BA5EAC4A32/Windows%207%20Client%20Software%20Logo.pdf
The purpose of this document is to
outline the technical requirements and
eligibility qualifications an
application must meet in order to
participate in the Windows 7 Client
Software Logo Program. The Windows
platform has a broad ecosystem of
products and partners that supports
the platform. Displaying the Windows
logo on your product represents a
relationship and a shared commitment
to quality between Microsoft and your
company. Customers trust that seeing
the Windows brand on your product
ensures that it meets compatibility
standards and performs well on the
Windows platform. The Windows 7
Client Software Logo Program is made
up of policies and technical
requirements to help ensure that
third-party applications carrying the
Windows brand are both easy to install
and reliable on PCs running Windows 7.
End users and customers value
stability, reliability, performance,
and quality in the systems they
purchase. Microsoft focuses some of
its investments to meet these
requirements for software applications
designed to run on the Windows 7
platform for PCs. These efforts
include compatibility tests for
ease-of-use, better performance, and
enhanced security on PCs running
Windows 7 software. Microsoft
compatibility tests have been designed
in collaboration with industry
partners and are continuously improved
in response to industry developments
and consumer demand.
A good point to start is the Windows 7 Logo Requirements, which define the requirements to qualify for the Windows 7 logo.
The folders to be used are for instance defined in point 2 of the Technical Requirements ("Install to the correct folders by default" with exact information about what to put where).
