maven-failsafe-plugin does not execute test cases from single class in parallel mode - maven

I've single test class with multiple test cases, which I would like to execute in parallel mode.
I've below setup in pom.xml
But instead of executing in parallel mode, test cases are being executed in sequence.
Please clarify what may be going wrong here ?
<plugin>
<artifactId>maven-failsafe-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.18.1</version>
<configuration>
<forkCount>3</forkCount>
<reuseForks>true</reuseForks>
</configuration>
<executions>
<execution>
<goals>
<goal>integration-test</goal>
<goal>verify</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>

Directly adding parallel configuration in maven-failsafe-plugin is not working (May be a bug.)
But we can set parallel attribute and thread count in surefire plugin configuration.
Internally maven-failsafe-plugin downloads maven-surefire-plugin plugin.
So we can explicitly provide dependency on maven-surefire-plugin having parallel configuration.
I have tested , method are getting executed in parallel.
For more know how on running testcase in parallel and more configuration parameters click here.

Build an executable Jar from a Maven Project with dependencies with Shade or Maven Assembly Plugin

I am trying to create an executable jar with dependencies packaged. So far I have been receiving the "no main manifest attribute". Does anyone knows what I am doing wrong?
In the top of the POM I have added the packaging jar
<groupId>com.moga</groupId>

Here is my 2 tested approaches (Maven Shade and Apache Maven Assembly) according to the documentation:

Many thanks
The issue was solving by modyfying the path of the manifest. I tested the built in generation of the Manifest file in the Intellij and discovered that the issue was probably related to the location of the Manifest, I was addying to the same level as the pom, whereas intellij set in the java folder.

Parallel execution with maven-surefire-plugin is throwing PluginResolutionException

I am trying to execute my feature files via TestRunner.java files (by mentioning them in pom.xml) , in parallel using maven-surefire-plugin, for which i have set up pom.xml as below, but when i run pom.xml as maven test, its throwing PluginResolutionException when the version is 3.0.0-M3, when i have update the version to 2.19.1, the maven test is not running my feature files but the build is shown as successful
I have tried with different versions but not worked
Also I have tried replacing the configuration part with below changes
still my feature files are not executed but the build is
successful
<configuration>
<forkCount>3</forkCount>
<reuseForks>true</reuseForks>
<!--
<parallel>classes</parallel>
<forkMode>perthread</forkMode>
<threadCount>3</threadCount>
-->
<argLine>-Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m</argLine>
<includes>
<include>**/*TestRunner.java</include>
</includes>
</configuration>
PS: After reading the below artical
https://maven.apache.org/surefire/maven-surefire-plugin/examples/junit.html#Running_tests_in_parallel
I understand that there is link between the Junit version and surefireflugin i use in my project, bow one thing is for sure, the correct combination of Junit and maven-surefire-plugin is very much necessary, i have tried with below combinations
JUnit 4.7
plugin 3.0.0-M3
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.0.0-M3</version>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.surefire</groupId>
<artifactId>surefire-junit47</artifactId>
<version>3.0.0-M3</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</plugin>
JUnit 4.12
plugin 2.20
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.20</version>
<configuration>
<parallel>classes</parallel>
<threadCount>3</threadCount>
<argLine>-Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m</argLine>
<includes>
<include>**/*TestRunner.java</include>
</includes>
</configuration>
</plugin>
but its not helpful, I suppose i am doing mistake in choosing this versions and the config of plugin with proper parameters, please help me

Expected:
My feature files should run in parallel
Actual:
My feature files are not executed
After changing the dependencies and plugin as suggested by sureshmani, this is how it looks
Finally i am able to solve this, to my initial pom, have started doing below changes. Which ran my feature files in parallel
Change 1: I happen to add the dependency for cucumber-jvm-parallel-plugin along with plugin ,so i have deleted the plugin
Change 2: I have realized that the cucumber-jvm-parallel-plugin is not able to recognize the feature files when I have them placed src/main/java , some of the posts said i have to move all feature files to src/main/resources/feature , where features is package
Change 3: I have realized that cucumber-jvm-parallel-plugin is not able to recognize the resources like step def's and drivers etc, so i have used build-helper-maven-plugin where i have declared the resources as below
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>build-helper-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.7</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>add-source</id>
<phase>generate-sources</phase>
<goals>
<goal>add-source</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<sources>
<source>src/main/java/</source>
<source>src/main/resources/</source>
<source>features</source>
</sources>
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
Change 4: cucumber-jvm-parallel-plugin in the maven life cycle in my IDE, because for some reason maven is not able to consider this plugin in it execution
Eclipse --> Windoes --> Preferences --> Maven->LifeCycleMappings-> copy paste below code
<pluginExecution>
<pluginExecutionFilter>
<groupId>com.github.temyers</groupId>
<artifactId>cucumber-jvm-parallel-plugin</artifactId>
<goals>
<goal>generateRunners</goal>
</goals>
<versionRange>[4.2.0,)</versionRange>
</pluginExecutionFilter>
<action>
<ignore/>
</action>
</pluginExecution>
Then , click on "Reload workspace lifecycle mapping metadata" button in Preference
Maven modal
My final pom looks like this
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

Cannot run tests with build-helper-maven-plugin on a groovy project

I have a groovy project in Eclipse. I have to change from Gradle to Maven and now I cannot run the tests that exist in it.
Here is the structure of the project:
Here are the contents of the pom.xml:
<dependencies>
...
<dependency>
<groupId>org.spockframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spock-core</artifactId>
<version>1.0-groovy-2.4</version>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.7.0</version>
<configuration>
<compilerId>groovy-eclipse-compiler</compilerId>
<compilerArguments>
<indy />
<!-- optional; supported by batch 2.4.12-04+ -->
...
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>build-helper-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.12</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>add-source</id>

<execution>
<id>add-test-source</id>
<phase>generate-test-sources</phase>

<configuration>

However, if I do a mvn clean install, the tests are not being ran.
Here is the output of the console:

cobertura-maven-plugin conflicts with FindBugs

After updating cobertura-maven-plugin from 2.6 to 2.7 Cobertura plugin conflicts with FindBugs plugin. FindBugs plugin detects error in cobertura-instrumented code:
[INFO] Incorrect lazy initialization of static field pl.chilldev.sites.commons.ErrorCode.__cobertura_counters in pl.chilldev.sites.commons.ErrorCode.__cobertura_init() [pl.chilldev.sites.commons.ErrorCode] In ErrorCode.java
(everything works fine when Cobertura plugin verison is set to 2.6)
Just in case, FindBugs plugin version is 3.0.1.
Is it possible to set these plugins somehow to work together?
Edit 1 (pom.xml)
This is pom.xml of main project directory (sub-modules contain only dependencies list):

Cobertura 2.7 alters project.build.outputDirectory in order to produce report for integration tests (new kind of report introduced in 2.7). In the next step Findbugs checks violations not on just compiled classes but on instrumented.
See bug:
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MCOBERTURA-203
As a workaround you can override classFilesDirectory:
...
<build>
...
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>findbugs-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.0.1</version>
<configuration>
<effort>Max</effort>
<threshold>Low</threshold>
<classFilesDirectory>${project.build.outputDirectory}</classFilesDirectory>
</configuration>
<executions>
<execution>
<goals>
<goal>check</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
...
</build>
...
Another solution is to skip integration tests report and proceed with unit tests report only:
http://mojo.codehaus.org/cobertura-maven-plugin/usage.html#Using_different_reports
If you force findbugs to run in the "compile" phase instead of the "test" phase, it will cause findbugs to run before the code is instrumented by cobertuar, thus solving the issue as described by Mateusz Balbus. This findbugs maven configuration works for me:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>findbugs-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.0.5</version>
<configuration>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>findbugs-check</id>
<phase>compile</phase>
<goals>
<goal>check</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</configuration>
</plugin>
Need to know about your project structure first.
I think your problem can be solved by using transitive dependency but not sure.
It does two things.
Set a default version for dependencies in submodules/child projects
override the version of transitive dependencies
it does override a specified value in a transitive dependency.
The enforcer plugin does not ignore the dependencyManagement. But is unable to recognize the discrepancy since the transitive dependency's version was altered before it went to work.
Here is a nice article : You can go through it:
http://andydennie.com/2012/08/02/maven-enforcer-plugin-vs-dependencymanagement/
And another source: http://maven.apache.org/enforcer/maven-enforcer-plugin/
Thanks.

maven-failsafe-plugin not seeing my tests (seleniumHQ)

i'm writing tests via selenium web driver here's my code :
Pom.xml
<project>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>junit</groupId>
<artifactId>junit</artifactId>
<version>4.8.1</version>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.seleniumhq.selenium</groupId>
<artifactId>selenium-java</artifactId>
<version>2.24.1</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<finalName>SeleniumebDriverProject</finalName>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-failsafe-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.11</version>
<configuration>
<!-- Skip the normal tests, we'll run them in the integration-test phase-->
<skip>false</skip>
</configuration>
<executions>
<execution>
<phase>integration-test</phase>
<goals>
<goal>test</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<skip>false</skip>
<includes>
<include>**/*Test.java</include>
</includes>
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
</project>
My test class named GoogleTest.java.
after reading this post : failsafe plugin won't run on one project but will run on another -- why?
I changed the name of my class so it's:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-failsafe-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.11</version>
<configuration>
<!-- Skip the normal tests, we'll run them in the integration-test phase-->
<skip>false</skip>
</configuration>
<executions>
<execution>
<goals>
<goal>integration-test</goal>
<goal>verify</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
<executions>
</plugin>
But the problem persist.
The goal of the maven-failsafe-plugin is named integration-test instead of test. Furthermore if you changed your naming convention to the convention of maven-failsafe-plugin than you don't need any configuration which includes etc. files. Just use the defaults.
Furthermore i assume you have started running the integration tests via:
mvn verify
