i'm trying to install the logstash-input-jmx plugin but I keep getting a
ERROR: Something went wrong when installing , message: Connection refused - Connection refused
I've tried to set the proxy before running but no luck:
export http_proxy=http://proxy.com:8099
export https_proxy=http://proxy.com:8099
./logstash-plugin install logstash-input-jmx
I've edited the logstash-plugin file to include the proxy like this:
#!/bin/sh
unset CDPATH
. "$(cd `dirname $0`/..; pwd)/bin/logstash.lib.sh"
setup
# bin/logstash-plugin is a short lived ruby script thus we can use aggressive "faster starting JRuby options"
# see https://github.com/jruby/jruby/wiki/Improving-startup-time
export JRUBY_OPTS="$JRUBY_OPTS -J-XX:+TieredCompilation -J-XX:TieredStopAtLevel=1 -J-noverify -X-C -Xcompile.invokedynamic=false"
export http_proxy=http://proxy.com:8099
export https_proxy=http://proxy.com:8099
ruby_exec "${LOGSTASH_HOME}/lib/pluginmanager/main.rb" "$#"
but got the same error
I've tried to even follow this github page: https://github.com/logstash-plugins/logstash-input-jmx
but when I get to bin/logstash-plugin install --no-verify...I still got the same error...
I was able to fix this by adding in the proxy to LS_JAVA_OPTS
LS_JAVA_OPTS='-Dhttp.useProxy=true -Dhttp.proxyHost=http://proxy.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=8099 -Dhttps.proxyHost=http://proxy.com -Dhttps.proxyPort=8099' ./logstash-plugin install logstash-input-jmx

Initially posted this on the Ethereum forum but feel that there might be more knowledge of the issue here as it is a Golang/git package installation issue
I am trying to compile smart contracts using the go-ethereum client.
I have go installed on my pc and installed ran the following commands:
go get -u github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum
cd $GOPATH/src/github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/
make
Which all work fine.
When I run
make devtools
I get the following error:

package golang.org/x/tools/cmd/stringer: exit status 1
make: *** [devtools] Error 1
Hoping that this wasnt too serious, I tries creating my go file with the following line:
abigen -abi=Store.abi --pkg=store --out=Store.go
bash: abigen: command not found
I suspect this has to do with my failed install and will appreciate any pointers on this
I was able to solve this by doing the following:
cd /Users/pro/go/src/golang.org/x/tools (This is the repo that had the issues)
Run git stash save && git merge origin/master && git stash pop
Run make devtools (The make file contains the instructions for installing abigen and placing it in usr/bin
I got help from this answer:
How do I ignore an error on 'git pull' about my local changes would be overwritten by merge?
I have generated a Yocto image to be used on all my target devices. When that image is running on target devices, it must be able to be updated using a rpm remote repository through https protocol.
To try doing that, I have added a dnf bbappend to my custom layer:
$ cat recipes-devtools/dnf/dnf_%.bbappend
FILESEXTRAPATHS_prepend := "${THISDIR}/files:"
SRC_URI += " \
file://yocto-adv-rpm.repo \
"
do_install_append () {
install -d ${D}/etc/yum.repos.d
install -m 0600 ${WORKDIR}/yocto-adv-rpm.repo ${D}/etc/yum.repos.d/yocto-adv-rpm.repo
}
FILES_${PN} += "/etc/yum.repos.d"
This is the content of repository configuration file included by dnf bbappend recipe:
$ cat recipes-devtools/dnf/files/yocto-adv-rpm.repo
[yocto-adv-rpm]
name=Rocko Yocto Repo
baseurl=https://storage.googleapis.com/my_repo/
gpgkey=https://storage.googleapis.com/my_repo/PACKAGEFEED-GPG-KEY-rocko
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
This repository configuration breaks the build process of the image. When I try to build myimage recipe, I always get this error:
ERROR: myimage-1.0-r0 do_rootfs: [log_check] myimage: found 1 error message in the logfile:
[log_check] Failed to synchronize cache for repo 'yocto-adv-rpm', disabling.
ERROR: myimage-1.0-r0 do_rootfs: Function failed: do_rootfs
ERROR: Logfile of failure stored in: /home/yocto/yocto/build/tmp/work/machine-poky-linux/myimage/1.0-r0/temp/log.do_rootfs.731
ERROR: Task (/home/yocto/yocto/sources/meta-mylayer/recipes-images/myimage.bb:do_rootfs) failed with exit code '1'
However, when I replace the "https" by "http" in "baseurl" variable:
baseurl=http://storage.googleapis.com/my_repo/
Then the myimage recipe is built fine.
The host machine can download files from the https repository using wget:
$ wget https://storage.googleapis.com/my_repo/PACKAGEFEED-GPG-KEY-rocko
Previous commands works fine, so the problem is not related with the host machine, I think it must be something related with google certificates and yocto stuff.
I found some relevant information inside this file:
yocto/build/tmp/work/machine-poky-linux/myimage/1.0-r0/temp/dnf.librepo.log
The relevant part:
15:56:41 lr_download: Downloading started
15:56:41 check_transfer_statuses: Transfer finished: repodata/repomd.xml (Effective url: https://storage.googleapis.com/my_repo/repodata/repomd.xml)
15:56:41 check_finished_transfer_status: Fatal error - Curl code (77): Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?) for https://storage.googleapis.com/my_repo/repodata/repomd.xml [error setting certificate verify locations:

CApath: none]
15:56:41 lr_yum_download_repomd: repomd.xml download was unsuccessful
Can some of you provide any useful advice to try to fix this?
Thank you in advance for your time! :-)
I finally fixed my issue removing completely my dnf bbappend recipe from my custom layer and adding this variable to my distro.conf file:
PACKAGE_FEED_URIS = "https://storage.googleapis.com/my_repo/"
After that, at the end of the build process the image contains a valid /etc/yum.d/oe-remote-repo file and all the necesary stuff to manage it. There is no need to copy "ca-certificates.crt" manually at all.
Also, it's important to execute this command after finishing the build of the image:
$ bitbake package-index
This command generates a "repodata" directory within the package feed needed by the target device once it uses the repo to update packages using dnf client.
I found a temporal hack to fix my issue:
$ cp /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt /home/yocto/yocto/build/tmp/work/x86_64-linux/curl-native/7.54.1-r0/recipe-sysroot-native/etc/ssl/certs/
After that, I was finally able to build the image using the "https" repo.
Now I am in the process of fixing this issue in the right way. I'll come back with the final solution.
I am trying to install Graph-Aided Search to integrate Neo4j with ElasticSearch (2.3.1) as shown here. But when I try this command line:

I looked for that error on google and I found that it might be because of the proxy, and since I am working behind a proxy I tried something that basically worked for others. This is the command line that I tried to install the plugin through proxy:
C:\dev\elasticsearch-2.3.1\bin> plugin -Dhttps.proxyHost=http://example.test.fr -Dhttps.proxyPort=3128 -Dhttps.proxyUser=SomeUser -Dhttps.proxyPassword=Password install com.graphaware.es/graph-aided-search/2.3.2.0
But still it didn't work, and I am still getting the same error. I forced the authentification to the proxy on Internet Explorer, something that usually works for me when I install packages with Maven. However, in that case it didn't work.
I am struggling to integrate my Neo4j database with ElasticSearch, I have been trying that for 4days now and it is taking all my time and cannot work without making this integration with success.
I really appreciate any help or clarification to resolve this error. Thank you.
[UPDATE]
When I try to replace the path, it is still not working. I've tried this command line:
plugin install C:\dev\graph-aided-search-master\target\releases\graph-aided-search-2.4.1.4-SNAPSHOT.zip
and I got this error message:
-> Installing C:\dev\graph-aided-search-master\target\releases\graph-aided-search-2.4.1.4-SNAPSHOT.zip...
ERROR: Invalid prefix or suffix
I put the graph-aided-search Zip file in the same folder as plugin file, so in C:\dev\elasticsearch-2.3.1\bin. Then I tried with the relative path, and I got this message:
> plugin install graph-aided-search-2.4.1.4-SNAPSHOT.zip --verbose
-> Installing graph-aided-search-2.4.1.4-SNAPSHOT.zip...
Trying https://download.elastic.co/elasticsearch/release/org/elasticsearch/plugin/graph-aided-search-2.4.1.4-SNAPSHOT.zip/2.3.1/graph-aided-search-2.4.1.4-SNAPSHOT.zip-2.3.1.zip ...

You can download the plugin manually from the MavenRepository
https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.graphaware.es/graph-aided-search
The correct syntax is this one:
plugin install com.graphaware.es/graph-aided-search/2.3.2.0 -DproxyHost=exampleHost -DproxyPort=portNumber
It is working now!
Started working on an update to my website. It was working fine the other day but now I get an error.
I generally type on CMD (i'm on Windows 10) "bundle exec Jekyll serve --watch" and the server goes. I can edit and save and its all reflected in browser upon refresh.
Now I can do this, but if I make one change to any file it works. Do another change and I get an error. I have to terminate and type again.
Below is the error:

I'm using Ruby 2.1.5 64 bit version. RubyDevKit, Sass, Bourbon.
Any ideas how to fix this? I don't know much about Jekyll or ruby. Just starting out.
I also get this error in CMD. You should have github's desktop app installed; try running the same commands from the GitShell you get with that app.
For me that works, it saves me the trouble of installing git globally on Windows and setting it up.

Yeah the skeleton is broken, I don't know who's maintaining it. Like I mentioned in IRC, for others that might read/need I'll post here too...
You can use a empty folder and do this from the shell or you can just use the empty template:
cd $(mktemp -d) && npm i docpad docpad-plugin-hogan && \
mkdir -p src/{documents,files,layouts} && \
curl https://raw.github.com/docpad/docpad-plugin-hogan/master/test/src/documents/hogan.html.hogan \
> src/documents/index.html.hogan && docpad run
Should work to demonstrate hogan plugin and docpad itself work fine.
Personally I always start with a package.json but thats just how I like to do it, define plugins as you need them in there but you can all just do it manually as well... Or use the basic HTML5 boilerplate plugin and then add docpad-plugin-hogan etc.
Or wait until it get fixed if you must have that skeleton...
