I am using Umbraco 7.5.3 and want to use .gif images in Media.
I can easily upload the images but Umbraco is unable to show any thumbnail for that image in the backoffice and also it is not getting rendered on the page as well.
Any clue?

It was happening as it was a bug with ImageProcessor -v 2.4.4 and I was using this same version.
This bug got fixed in 2.4.5. If any of you have encountered the same problem, then it might help you.

I cannot view the images from boost.org documentation.
For example,

Looking at the source code and clicking the image links, I get "Error 404: File not found".
Apparently my professor can view the images no problem, but my classmates and I cannot. Does anyone know why I can't view any of the images on the boost.org documentation website? Thanks.
The older 1.57.0 version is ok.
They changed their image format from PNG to SVG in v1.58.0, but these are not available on the site (the offline version contains the SVG files).
I'm having some issues with a Magento install 1.7.0.2. We recently moved servers and now the image upload option on newsletters and CMS pages are not working. (Product images are working fine).
Media folder is set for 777 permissions as well as subfolders.
I am getting this when trying to add an image:

The create folder button also does nothing, has anyone come across this before or know a solution?

Are you sure it is able to read the /media/wysiwyg directory?
Have you set the base URLs correctly under System / Web?
Have you copied over the js-directory?
Seems Javascript compression in Magento was the issue. Disabling compression made this work! Don't know why.

I found few on google images. but when i try downloading them, its getting downloaded as an image.

I think you're looking for http://ajaxload.info. They're all images, though - that's what a GIF is.

maybe you're opening with the default windows image viewer. It doesn't show gif animations. try opening them in your browser if that's the case.
Is there a plugin to upload images via the Images window, that will work with YUI 2.8.0r4 ?
There is one but that only works with 2.3.1 :(

It is done for YUI 2.7.0 it also works with 2.8.0r4. I'm using it.
