Compute Conjugate Gradient using Eigen library - matrix

I writed the following C++ code to compute the conjugate gradient of a specific matrix, compiler is CMake 3.6.2 in Ubuntu 16.04:
ConjugateGradient<SparseMatrix<double>, Lower|Upper> cg;
cg.setMaxIterations(60);
cg.compute(A);
SparseMatrix<double> beta;
beta = cg.solve(logP);
It take limitless time to run and does not stop. However, if I change the last line into:
cg.solve(logP);
the code can run and terminate, but I can't get the result of the computation. A and logP are both SparseMatrix. How should I get the result of the solve() function?
Changing the type of the result object "beta" into MatrixXd leads to the following error:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): std::bad_alloc
while changing the type into VectorXd leads to:

So I think the key problem is what type should "beta" be.

C++: C2511: Overloaded member function not found. problems when using 'this'

I have this one object that tries to call a function in another class's function. That function looks like this (Belongs to class 'Player' ):
void play(Game *const currentGame, int x, int y);
When I try to call this function from another object (of the Game class) like this :
player->play(this, x, y)
And during compilation I get these errors:

I came from Java, so maybe I lack some of the core principles about pointers and reference, however I could figure out why there's a type mismatch in here.

I have repeated your problem with the same compile errors. I think you have forgotten to add at the end of your method the body. Like:
void play(const Game *currentGame, int x, int y){}

What's os.geteuid() do?

I was trying to debug a Python 2 script running on Raspbian (Raspberry Pi flavoured Debian Linux) which had code like
euid = os.geteuid()
if euid != 0:
print("you must be root!")
exit(1)
It seemed like, in the user's environment, euid would sometimes be nonzero even if the script was called with sudo.
To investigate whether this was actually the case, I tried to figure out what os.geteuid() is actually doing.
Since the os module is pretty OS-specific by its nature, the source doesn't actually have a clear definition for os.geteuid().
I also tried hg cloneing the source and compiling it, then using inspect.findsource(os.geteuid), but:
TypeError: <built-in function geteuid> is not a module, class, method, function, traceback, frame, or code object
It's... a builtin? Then "geteuid" in dir(__import__("__builtin__")) should be True, but it isn't.
Is geteuid's definition hidden because it could be spoofed into returning the wrong thing (and that would be bad)? Where can I see these sorts of functions' actual source?

You have to set up you CMakeList.txt as shown in this answer to properly include Eigen in your project.
Also, you don't need to split the affine transform in the rotation and traslation components (have a look at Eigen-tf conversion).

I have suddenly thought about Eigen library and not about what could be actually the problem. Have you added the tf_conversions dependency in the package.xml file? You have not mentioned it. Also, you have to include the library: #include <tf_conversions/tf_eigen.h>

FFTW R2C two-dimensional size parameters

I cannot get what size parameters are for fftwf_plan_dft_r2c_2d
Input: a N rows by M cols matrix
Output: a N rows by floor(M/2) + 1 cols matrix ?
Are parameters input or output size?
Tried to give input size. This is what GDB sais

Check for heap corruption issued by possible alllocation mistakes in MatrixStorage class . The rows in the matrix is one large block. rowGet returns the pointer to the given row.

I used a precompiled DLL instead. GCC may produce bad code on 32-bit Windows (From release notes):
Removed an archaic stack-alignment hack that was failing with gcc-4.7/i386. Added stack-alignment hack necessary for gcc on Windows/i386. We will regret this in ten years (see previous change).

The dll became bad due to wrong options given to the configure script. The documentation is now updated.
You are correct. For an NxM float or double input you should allocate Nx(M/2+1) fftwf_complex or fftw_complex output.
The parameters are the input size. For example,

Clang does not compile a g++ project

When trying to compile a g++ project with the clang compiler, there is a strange error showing up.
Here is the snippet of the source file:

Conditions are:
The file compiles fine with gcc_4.3.2
clang in version 3.2 throws the above error
Already tried to include the latest boost library which results in the same error
My guess is that clang handles rvalue conditions differently than this gcc version does.
clang is supposed to be a drop-in-replacement for gcc, so how can one get rid of this error without touching the source file?
Are there any options in clang which somehow disables these kind of errors?!

So, when providing a -DBOOST_FOREACH_NO_RVALUE_DETECTION definition option to clang, the error disappears.
Still the question remains whether gcc or clang is right or wrong on this point.
