Is there a way to ignore files being watched for changes in nativescript?
running tns run android
every time I travel over folders, or open a file for read with vim explorer it generates tmp files, so Nativescript is reloading the app every second until it's unable to refresh.

I have tried cleaning the simulator but it again occupies 6gb disk space on my Mac.
Can anyone suggest manual cleaning?
If the objective is to free up disk space occupied by Xcode-related and simulator-related caches and data, and not just iOS support files, there are other folders you can look into to consider removing files, besides ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/iOS DeviceSupport/ and ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData that have been mentioned in the other 2 answers so far.
~/Library/Developer/Xcode/Archives/ contains data from your builds that can be helpful in the process of symbolicating/debugging deployed apps, but could otherwise be removed. Thankfully, it is organized by date, so you can choose to keep specific folders inside it, and delete the rest
~/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/ contains simulator related data. It includes a Caches folder and a Devices folder. If you no longer need to run your apps on certain devices, you may consider removing those devices' corresponding folders in the Devices folder. The Caches folder may grow over time as well, and you can remove contents from there, and they should be regenerated as needed.
If you've been using this machine for some years, it may be worth looking for ~/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator. The simulator related files used to be there until around Xcode 6. So you may have files still there that you might want to delete (I did, on some older Macs some years back)
There's an Xcode specific cache (not about simulators), ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.dt.Xcode, which should be regenerated as needed, but may be less useful to clean up.
You could also consider running DevCleaner from time to time to remove unnecessary Xcode-related files.
Delete the contents of "~/Library/Developer/Xcode/iOS DeviceSupport/".
Remove all "paired devices" in iOS settings > Developer.
Connect iPhone to the Mac and pick "Don't trust".
Since the above is not okay for iTunes syncing etc, try the following:
Delete the contents of the folder "~/Library/Developer/Xcode/iOS DeviceSupport/" and then right click > get info > lock the folder.
Locking the folder will stop Xcode from copying the simulator files from the iPhone to that folder next time you connect them.

It is possible that Xcode starts downloading it via nsurlsessiod so you can block it either
by using a firewall

Or by renaming the binary as explained at the link below. (I haven't tried it)
Xcode simulator constantly download something
Command-Option-Shift-K to clean out the build folder. Even better, quit Xcode and clean out ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData manually. Remove all its contents because there's a bug where Xcode will run an old version of your project that's in there somewhere
By following this steps you can do....
For user who are not able to find library/developer path.
open Xcode( i am using Xcode 13) -> file -> workspace setting -> there will be a path at center of modal -> click on arrow button next to path -> on clicking it will open up the folder.
On the first compile the project is build correctly and running on both device or simulator. After that if I apply a change on the code and try the Hot Restart and rebuild the app doesn't rebuild and does not show the new modification.
Even if I try flutter clean in order to clean the solution, Deleting the 'build/' path and flutter run after but the same issue occurs again.
Or rm -rf build && flutter run
I've updated both the Visual Studio Code and Flutter (version 1.9) in order to be up to date retry but does not make any change at all.
I have tried to run the app from Xcode too after flutter clean and get the same issue.
Below I'm attaching a simple print screen in order to show a simple change I've applied on a demo project on the title string value and the solution on the simulator (the same one I get on physical device too) with the code modification, and the app that doesn't rebuild.
P.s: I've check this one too https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/17155
And this one https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/18736 deleting files in ios/ and android/, running flutter clean, flutter create . in order to recreate the files and at the end flutter run
In your screenshot, the main.dart file appears to be unsaved (it has a dot in the tab). If the changes aren't saved, reloading in the terminal won't apply those changes.
That said, there is a much better way than running flutter run from the Terminal - use F5 (or Debug -> Start Debugging). When running that way, not only to you get a full debugger, you will get hot-reload-on-save as well as other debug functionality and easy access to DevTools!
There's more info on running and debugging in VS Code here:

using CocoStudio 2.0.6 and Xcode 6.1.1 on MAC inside VMware. After publishing in CocoStudio I open Xcode and "Add Files to myProject" with the "Copy items if needed" option checked. Then I have the folder myProject/res created by CocoStudio inside the myProject/Resources folder used by Xcode. Using CSLoader in HelloWorldScene.cpp works fine and I see the scene in the simulator. Runs ok also in Eclipse on Android emulator.
If I go back to CocoStudio and make changes like adding a sprite to the scene then I need to repeat the whole process of publishing, delete them Resources/res folder in Xcode and add it again. It is faster to delete the whole folder instead of adding new files into it and delete the ones not used any more.
My question is: am I doing it the right way or is it there a better way for Xcode to automatically see modifications to the resources made by CocoStudio?
Like when I use Eclipse and build the project, the resources in the myProject/proj.android/assets folder are automatically updated with the resources from the myProject/Resources folder.
Thank you.
You can make a resources folder in iOS app a symbolic link to the main Resources folder.
Remove the proj.ios_mac/Resources folder. Then go to your main app folder and execute:
ln -s ../Resources proj.ios_mac/Resources

JAVA-ADT ver 22.3 first installed last week with updates
Android SDK Manager used to get needed files for JellyBean
I followed the instructions for creating MyFirstApp.
It worked just fine until I "Close all" then "delete" project from Package Explorer.
When Importing or New-project-Android project from existing code-root directory-Copy project into workspace using MyFirstApp the "Androidmanifest.xml" and ".project" files contents are completely erased. It loads with major manifest errors once then never again with no way getting the MyFirstApp reloaded.
I have only one Workspace folder for projects and tried creating several versions like MySecondApp, MyThirdApp and so on. All get manifest.xml contents erased.
I'm unable to get a project reloaded into JAVA-ADT without it erasing contents in androidmanifest.xml and .project. This is my first try at JAVA-ADT.
I tried "project" "Clean" before closing out the original MyFirstApp with no success either.
I have read and read posts but can't figure it out. Lots of hours on developer.android.com training too.
What am I doing wrong?
I have created a phonegap windows phone project, did the install and setup. It runs fine with the demo/default code when I run the emulator.
I have an existing android project. I drag my www folder to the windows project and nothing works.
The manifestprocessor.js does not build any of the new files in the xml. When I right click my new files I do not have an option to select a build action. I do not get any errors on the build. I want to also note that my default htnl file should load login.html (I updated the CordovaView.xaml.cs file) and the cordova.js files is inside the "js" folder in www, not on the root like the default setup.
Anyone have any ideas? I have never developed using visual studio, I am guessing I need to get my new files to be recognize so I can assign build actions I guess but since it won't let me I am not sure what to do, or even if that is the problem.
Thanks for your time and suggestions.
