I would like to use some args with F.worker2.
Do you have some example ?
How to use the F.worker2 with Total.js ?
Thank you
Just send additional arguments https://docs.totaljs.com/latest/en.html#api~Framework~F.worker2 or send a message:
var worker = F.worker2();
// Worker has to have defined "message" event:
// process.on('message', function(msg) { console.log('Data from parent', msg); });
setImmediate(function() {
worker.send({ simple: 'value' });
});
https://nodejs.org/dist/latest-v7.x/docs/api/child_process.html#child_process_child_send_message_sendhandle_options_callback

I have aproblem when test Apollo.When I try query with apollo and graphql, i want response return error and partical data, so I set property errorPolicy:'all'. But its not work. I don't no why? Help please!
Here my code:
query { animal {
name
age }, school {
name
numberfd } } `
const { loading,data,error} = useQuery(GET_DASHBOARD_DATA, {
errorPolicy:'all',
onCompleted: (res) => {console.log("complete",res)},
onError : (res,data) => {console.log("ERRRR",res,data)},
})
and i want to receive:
{
error:[...], data:[animal:[...]] }
but its only response error.Here is Apollo's doc: https://www.apollographql.com/docs/react/data/error-handling/
onError type is onError?: (error: ApolloError) => void;. You don't have data inside onError callback.
After useQuery you can add:
console.log('data', data)
console.log('error', error)
I faced the same issue with errorPolicy: 'all', I only received the partial result inside onCompleted callback of useQuery, but no errors.
I created an ErrorLink like this:
private createErrorLink = () => {
return new ApolloLink((operation, forward) => {
return forward(operation).map((response) => {
// filter out errors you don't want to display
const errors = filterSomeErrors(response.errors);
if (errors && response?.data) {
response.data.errors = errors;
}
return response;
});
});
};
Now inside my onCompleted callback I get my data as well as errors. You will have to tweak your types a bit, because seems there is no errors field on response.data by default.
Mind that if you use onError from Apollo and return something from the link, it will retry your request containing errors!
I'm running echo server and redis. Private channels work perfectly, and messaging I have built for it works. Now I'm trying to get the whisper to work for the typing status as well but no luck. Does whisper require a pusher to work?
What I have tried on keyup (jquery)
Echo.private(chat- + userid)
.whisper('typing',{e: 'i am is typing...'});
console.log('key up'); // this one works so the keyup is triggered
then I'm of course listening the channel what I am whispering into:
Echo.private(chat- + userid).listenForWhisper('typing', (e) => {
console.log(e + ' this is typing');
});
But I get absolutely nothing anywhere. (debugging on at the echo server, nothing on console etc) Any help how to get this to work would be much appreciated.
Your input event:
$('input').on('keydown', function(){
let channel = Echo.private('chat')
setTimeout( () => {
channel.whisper('typing', {
user: userid,
typing: true
})
}, 300)
})
Your listening event:
Echo.private('chat')
.listenForWhisper('typing', (e) => {
e.typing ? $('.typing').show() : $('.typing').hide()
})
setTimeout( () => {
$('.typing').hide()
}, 1000)
Of course you have to have setup the authentication for this channel ahead of time to ensure that the trusted parties have access:
Broadcast::channel('chat', function ($user) {
return Auth::check();
});
Where $user will be the userid we passed to the user param in our object on the front end.
This is what my ReactJS componentDidMount looks like.
Your listening event.
componentDidMount() {
let timer; // timer variable to be cleared every time the user whispers
Echo.join('chatroom')
.here(...)
.joining(...)
.leaving(...)
.listen(...)
}).listenForWhisper('typing', (e) => {
this.setState({
typing: e.name
});
clearTimeout(timer); // <-- clear
// Take note of the 'clearTimeout' before setting another 'setTimeout' timer.
// This will clear previous timer that will make your typing status
// 'blink' if not cleared.
timer = setTimeout(() => {
this.setState({
typing: null
});
}, 500);
});
}
Following the testingBot example for protractor-based projects I got this code
var TestingBot = require('testingbot-api');
describe('Protractor Demo App', function () {
var tb;
beforeEach(function () {
tb = new TestingBot({
api_key: "master_key",
api_secret: "secret_007"
});
});
afterEach(function () {
browser.getSession().then(function (session) {
tb.updateTest({
'test[success]': true/*where do I get this 'test[success]' attribute? */
}, session.getId(), function () {
console.log("Hi! :D");
});
})
});
it('should have a title', function () {
browser.get('http://juliemr.github.io/protractor-demo/');
expect(browser.getTitle()).toEqual('Super Calculator');
});
});
I need to send the success of the test back through the tb.updateTest() but I don't know where I get the value of a passed or failed test. For now the value is a static true. I'd appreciate a jasmine approach too.
You can use a custom reporter with Jasmine.
There you can hook into specDone or suiteDone which has a result parameter, containing the test's success state.
You can then use this state to write a custom report or send it to somewhere else.
this is my spec
it('should save edited majorObject', function () {
var description = element(by.id('objectDescription'));
description.clear();
description.sendKeys('edited');
var add = element(by.id('saveObject'));
add.click().then(function () {
expect(element(by.css('.alert-success')).isDisplayed()).toBe(true);
expect(element(by.css('.alert-success')).toText()).toBe("Saved Successfully");
})
});
i used
expect(element(by.css('.alert-success')).toText()).toBe("Saved Successfully");
But it is showing undefined and is their any alternative way to do this?
You meant to use getText() instead of toText():
expect(element(by.css('.alert-success')).getText()).toBe("Saved Successfully");
I am still learning Angular JS and have this controller which is making two ajax requests to the lastfm api using different parameters. I want to know when each request has been finished, so that I can display a loading indicator for both requests. I have researched it and read about promises and the $q service but cant get my head around how to incorporate it into this. Is there a better way to set this up? and how can I know when each request is done. Thanks.
angular.module('lastfm')
.controller('ProfileCtrl', function ($scope, ajaxData, usersSharedInformation, $routeParams) {
var username = $routeParams.user;
//Get Recent tracks
ajaxData.get({
method: 'user.getrecenttracks',
api_key: 'key would go here',
limit: 20,
user: username,
format: 'json'
})
.then(function (response) {
//Check reponse for error message
if (response.data.message) {
$scope.error = response.data.message;
} else {
$scope.songs = response.data.recenttracks.track;
}
});
//Get user info
ajaxData.get({
method: 'user.getInfo',
api_key: 'key would go here',
limit: 20,
user: username,
format: 'json'
})
.then(function (response) {
//Check reponse for error message
if (response.data.message) {
$scope.error = response.data.message;
} else {
$scope.user = response.data.user;
}
});
});
I have this factory which handles all the requests
angular.module('lastfm')
.factory('ajaxData', function ($http, $q) {
return {
get: function (params) {
return $http.get('http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/', {
params : params
});
}
}
});
Quite easy using $q.all(). $http itself returns a promise and $q.all() won't resolve until an array of promises are resolved
var ajax1=ajaxData.get(....).then(....);
var ajax2=ajaxData.get(....).then(....);
$q.all([ajax1,ajax2]).then(function(){
/* all done, hide loader*/
})
