Each user will have different data/stats from Google Analytics.
I am not sure what info to ask/save on each user profile.
I need to display stats like top referrers, total visitors, etc.
I would like an example for this using google/apiclient
Thanks in advance
You can use the google core reporting and google core management APIs. See below for documentation.

Is it possible to change user settings in google calendar via API? What I found on their developer web documentation suggests that no, but maybe there is something I missed.
Thanks for any answers
The Google calendar api gives you access to a users google calendars. It does not give you access to change any settings for the user on the Google calendar web application thats two different things.
You can update the calendar itself changing calendar update some of the basic information about a calendar.
Unfortunately what you want cannot be achieved.
As you clearly noticed in the Calendar API documentation, the operations accepted for Calendar settings are: get, list and watch.
What you can do instead is to file a feature on request on Google Issue Tracker here.
I am looking for a solution where I can fetch google analytics data like Popular Products, traffic on Mobile device, Avg Cart value etc.
There is a Ruby Google API client library, which is designed to call the Google Analytics Reporting API v4. The reporting API is capable of querying any of populated dimensions and metrics. The hardest part will be setting up OAuth 2.0 but after that it is all down hill. If you get stuck setting up OAuth feel free to come back to SO to ask any problems you are having with your code.

I hope it will work fine...
Yes, there's a Ruby client library provided by Google which allows you consume their Google+ API
https://developers.google.com/api-client-library/ruby/apis/plus/v1
UPDATE
The URL above points to Ruby client library. The API you're looking for is moments.insert
https://developers.google.com/+/api/latest/moments/insert
There is an official Google API Client gem. However the Google+ API does not allow standard automated posting to a profile. The recommended approach to share posts is the share button or the interactive share API.
The automated posting that Google+ does support are:
App activities/moments are a way to make actions within your app visible to other users of your app. They do not appear in the Google+ posts stream.
Domains API can be used with Google Apps accounts to create posts that are limited to users within the company.
Pages API can be used to post to a page (not a profile) but is limited to approved partners.
I was checking the API reports for Contact, Calendar and Tasks. I was surprised to see that the number of requests for Contacts API is 0 for last 28 days. However we synced thousands of contacts with Google everyday. Please refer screenshot attached.
From the stats it seems that the requests we are making to Google is NOT using Contacts API.
Overview of our application's google integration:
Our application is built on Ruby on Rails.
We are using 'google-contacts' gem (https://github.com/varunlalan/google-contacts) for syncing contacts.
We authenticate user using 'omniauth-google-oauth2' gem (https://github.com/zquestz/omniauth-google-oauth2).
OAuth 2 scopes include - "userinfo.email, userinfo.profile, https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/"
Any reason why it is not making use of Contacts API or requests not being showed up in the reports?
Any help or inputs would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
just wanted to add that we're facing the same issue.
We've been using the Contacts API heavily (and we even got a 503 due to, it seems, exceeding the maximum requests/second) and yet the dashboard and the reports show 0% usage... which makes it a bit difficult to plan ahead!
After further investigation we have also seen that the per user quota is fixed at 10/user/second despite any changes to the config from the API console.
Also, the parameter quotaUser which is meant to enable developers to manage their quota more effectively is ignored.
Could anyone help or refer how it can be done..I searched over the net and what i felt is that its only for mobile and websites.
It's for websites. Many of the concepts of web analytics (number of pages viewed for example) don't even make any sense on a desktop app, because they're not organized like a web page.
If you want to use Google analytics data from an analytics account Google provides a data export API.
If you want to track your native application then as Catfish_Man (great name btw!) said, it is not really possible. That isn't totally true, as you could fake it, but the paradigm is so different that you would be better off creating you own solution.
You might want to see this library for GA on desktops
http://code.google.com/p/jgoogleanalytics
Google Analytics doesn't provide a native Mac app integration, but you can use the Measurement Protocol Overview to send raw data to your GA property from your account.
Just create a mobile app property and then start sending raw GA events using HTTP. There are couple Obj-C wrappers available like https://github.com/swisspol/GARawTracker or https://github.com/stephenlind/SimpleCocoaGoogleAnalytics.
