Not able to access magento admin pannel - magento

i’m working on Magento, I did something wrong but, I don’t know what i need to do now. Coming to my issue,I changed url path in system->configation->advanced->admin->admin base url, from that point Magento admin panel is gone. i’m not able to access admin panel. now i removed that path from data base -> core_config_data.
as a result now i’m able to see login popup but after entering credentials i’m not able to see admin panel.

I solved it by removing merge from cpanel->app->cache. Thank you and hope this will used for someone

Magento - change store view to default via phpmyadmin

Situation: I have messed up the store view option in Magento admin (very right option in 'Manage Stores'. I tried adding another store view. After saving it, I could neither enter backend nor was the frontend visible anymore (404 error).
I have access to phpmyadmin and was planning to manually change the store view to default again, but did not find the the aproporiate location to do so. Could you guys point me to the right direction please?
(I saw a similar question asked on this board, but with unsatisfying solution: 404 error in front end and admin of magento after changing store view to a new store)
Found this myself though:
core_store
core_store_group
Dont forget to delete the cache and sessions or your website wont load properly:
/var/cache
/var/sessions

Access Denied Magento Admin after domain change: correct password

After migrating from an amazon instance to GoDaddy hosting, I am unable to login to Magento backend when using the same username and password,
Adding a new user with a new password gives the same error: access denied
web/unsecure/base_url are set correctly in the database table core_config_table
My cookies are setup as follows
web/cookie/cookie_lifetime 3600
web/cookie/cookie_path NULL
web/cookie/cookie_domain NULL
web/cookie/cookie_httponly 1
web/cookie/cookie_restriction 0
Please let me know any thoughts you may have as I have searched google many times and none of the guides help, and I am starting to feel like I am the only one with this specific issue.
Thanks in advance!
Found the Solution myself after many weeks,
Save this file as newadmin.php in your magento root, then uncomment and replace the credentials with the ones you want, then go to example.com/newadmin.php
Voila!!!
The reason is because administrator permissions were contravened, as far as I know this is the only way to add a working user.
Unfortunately one problem led to the next and I started getting index.php inserted into all of my links when I go into admin panel ex:
example.com/index.php/admin/********
I would be fine with this if it didn't send it to a 404 page, the correct page is:
example.com/admin/********
when I remove index.php from the url it works, but if I click on any link or try to save chages in admin panel, it reinserts the index.php in the url and doesn't POST anything to the page, because it gets sent to a 404 page
Click This Link if you want to follow my bug-fixing adventures:
try after delete var/* folder for remove cache
if not worked then change password from db admin_user table then try it.
Did you name your database and users exactly the same as before?
Some CPanels will automatically choose the first part of the MSQL database for you...
check app/etc/local.xml and see if it's all correct

Newly installed Magento, invalid login even with correct user and pass

I'm using magento 1.9, and made sure that my var and media folder's permissions are on 777.
I can't seem to login into the admin panel even with the correct login details.
The problem seems to be frequent in many installation,i guess it the the cookie problem.
Have a look at the link below it may solve the issue.

If the above link doesnot help try following the answer that i have provided in below link this should work.
Magento Can't login to my account on ios server
Hope this will help.

Joomla administrator re-directs to homepage in localhost

I am trying to access my localhost version of the Joomla Administrator, however each time I navigate to the administrator directory, my Joomla website index page loads instead?
I suspect the htaccess file may be the issue but not 100%?
Any ideas?
Cheers
Ok seeing as you have some protection plugin which re-directs the user from the admin panel if they try and access the page, you won't be able to to either.
And seeing as you can't login to disable it, you will have to do it manually via PhpMyAdmin. Follow these instructions:
Enter PhpMyAdmin
Open the table called jos_extensions (jos is the prefix which may be different for you)
Find the protection extension you have installed which is causing the redirect and go to edit it.
You will find a column called enabled. You need to change the value from 1 to 0
You should then be able to login to the Joomla admin panel
Hope this helps

Magento Admin URL 404

I know that that similar issues and topics exist, however my issue differs slightly and none of the proposed fixes have worked.
I was accessing the Magento backend as normal. Approximately 10 minutes after that I could no longer access the Magento backend.
What I mean is that when I go to the admin url login page, I get a 404. However the 404 isn't generated by my host, it's generated by my webstore.
Everything about my webstore works as normal.
I've seen a number of fixes, mainly this one...
http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/207981/#t274443
I have a few main issues.
Admin Custom URL had been set (but not by me). It was set over a year ago when Magento was installed. It worked entirely fine until today.
I do not even have "admin/url/custom" and "admin/url/use_custom" in my "core_config_data" PHP table. It simply does not exist so I cannot change it. I looked manually for it and did a search for it. Nothing.
I tried updating the local.xml file and clearing "var/caches" and "var/sessions" but that did not work either.
I've been working this for hours and it's beyond frustrating. It's imperative that this be fixed ASAP because we are a fairly sizeable company.
Thanks ahead for helping. Anything at all would be appreciated.
First Check your Apache configurations
I know that you said you were only in the Magento admin but I would first check that apache was configured correctly. This is the first point of contact and you need to ensure that it's working right.
You need to locate a default Magento htaccess file that you can upload to your server. There's additional configurations that you need to make if you're in a subdirectory and also check to make sure that your mod_rewrite is working properly. There's an extensive tutorial on these things here, magento htaccess.
Make sure that you have the right magento admin url
I have to assume that you know what your magento admin url is, but of course I would double check that you're getting it right. There is an option in the admin area to change the admin url, you could have adjusted that on accident.
You say that you don't have "admin/url/custom" and "admin/url/use_custom" in your core_config_data table. This actually means that you didn't set the magento admin url from the admin area. However there is a third place that you can look for your admin url. This is in app/etc/local.xml but you couldn't have changed this from the administration area.
Did you turn off search engine friendly urls?
If you had been accessing your administrative area using /admin and then accidentally turned off SEF urls, then your admin area could have just simply moved to /index.php/admin. Of course you mentioned that you have a custom admin url, but I don't know what that is, so I'm giving examples with the default.
I can't really give you any more suggestions without more information. I hope that this helps!
Found this and thought I would post here since it shows up in google.
