I´m new with sonar and I have started to define my environment and requirements for a first installation.
My question is, really the server need to have a internet connection? or only is used for install plugins and updates?.
Thanks to all.
An uplink to the Internet definitely is not a requirement for SonarQube. If available then it'll be used by the SonarQube Update Center, otherwise you can just install/upgrade plugins manually.

I am working with WSO2 Integration Studio 6.5.0 and encountered mysterious behavior when trying to configure proxy. On one of the computers everything works fine, permitting to add new mediators to the canvas.
The same version in Integration Studio, configured with the same version of JDK (10.0), used on another computer does not permit to add mediators to the canvas.
I have verified the identity of the Eclipse, Java and system configuration to the possible extent and could not find any differences.
I will need to make the development environment available for a wider group of developers, so being able to port it to other computers is important.
I shall appreciate any hypotheses and recommendations.
Resolved - just add option:
-Dswt.autoScale=100
to IntegratioStudio.ini.
I have an external Nexus Open Source version repository, that is connected to an internal one trough proxy repository.
I want to automatically sync the repo with the latest releases and latest snapshots without the need to request them trough a build.
I know there is a capability "Smart Proxy feature" but I can't enable it as we are not using the professional version.
Can you suggest other "smart" and "clean" ways to achieve this?
I was thinking I can create a Jenkins job running every 5 minutes that requests the dependencies thorugh a build using placeholders such as latest release and latest snaphost but i want to know if there is any easier and cleaner way to achieve this.
If my question is not clear please let me know.
Same question asked here but no useful replies.
I've asked this question on Gitter, but answer directed me to the documentation I followed.
I'm administrator of TeamCity 2017.2.2 with agents running on Windows 10 (except one on 7). I installed allure-teamcity plugin version 2.6 and added allure tools in version 2.6 as described in the documentation.
The problem is the tool is propagated to the agent on upgrade, but not the plugin itself. Main server shows me the runner I can use as a build step, but once configured none of agents accept this configuration. I've checked agent directory and logs - the plugin is not there and logs doesn't indicate that there was even attempt to pull.
As a holder of commercial license I asked JetBrains technical support, but they told me I need to ask Allure authors. GitHub sends people to Gitter and here, hence the question after unlucky attempt on Gitter.
What do I need to do to get the plugin correctly pulled and working on agents?
Is allure plugin even compatible with TeamCity 2017.2.2?
The problem is that Allure TeamCity plugin looks for a tool called allure-commandline. So you need to make sure that allure-commandline.zip is present in your <TeamCity Data Directory>/plugins/.tools directory.
As i am working in MNC company, we need to install maven in my eclipse.but Eclipse MarketPlace & Install New Software is blocked in my Firewall.
And also tried : windows-->Properties-->Advanced System Setting (this also blocked)
Can u please help any one to install maven.
Thanks
You cannot simply install maven in offline mode. It has a lot of dependencies and their dependencies. This will become a very tedious task to do manually.
Consider these options:
If you can connect to internet through other means, like using a
proxy, try configuring proxy to install maven. See Configuring a
proxy.
Better talk with your network IT team, they will sort it out for you by providing some exceptional access on 8080/80 ports
Well you can try it out and set the proxy from your company in eclipse and try again. Maybe you have no network configuration in eclipse so the Firewall blocks everything.
i am discovering sonarqube 4.5 and my first documentation walkthrough left me with a basic question : is it possible to install sonarqube 4.5 locally to perform the needed analysis on my local project? i mean the documentation suggests the following :
The Database and the Analyzers must be located in the same network.
The Database and the Analyzers must not be installed on the same machine.
This led me to the obvious conclusion that i need at least 2 machines to perform a full analysis to my maven project. So how is it possible for the average joe who has only one machine to be able to test SonarQube on a local project ?
Regards
Yes, you can run Sonar on a single machine. For a production setup, it's recommended to have dedicated DB, but for test purposes, you can use built-in DB.
Follow these instructions: http://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SONAR/Setup+and+Upgrade
You will find a series of posts on my blog describing precisely all the different steps to install SonarQube with Jenkins an a laptop: http://qualilogy.com/en/category/sonar/sonar-installation/
