I am on a Windows 7 standalone machine - no internet connection, no networking. I installed SonarQube 5.6.6 and scanner 3.0.3 to analyze some of my projects - it works great. There are 3 of us who have separate windows logins to this standalone machine and I would like to use that windows login as the login to SonarQube for each of our profiles. How do I do this?
Thanks!
Centralized authentication/authorization would typically be done with the LDAP Plugin. However if the machine is purely standalone (no networking as you said), then I presume user accounts are completely local, in which case the SonarQube accounts can only be managed locally by SonarQube too (i.e. SonarQube admin sets username/password).

I've configured linux client server with (LAM) and also able to authenticate (lAM users with linux client server) but facing issue in authentication of LAM users with windows server ec2 machine. please help me in this regard if community has better solution for it. thanks!!!
i tried different methods just like Microsoft AD domain service but not get result
I have installed Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.4 in CentOS 7 i.e Foundation Services, Essbase and Financial Reporting. The database I have used is SQL Server.
CentOS is not the officially supported OS for Oracle HTTP server and hence I went ahead with Weblogic HTTP server.
Once I start the weblogic server and start all the EPM services, and when I login into the weblogic server administration console, I find my foundation services server in Admin state
Also when I login into my Oracle Fusion middleware, I can see all my foundation services and financial reporting Servers down.
And hence I am unable to access the servers like workspace, calculation manager.
But few of my servers are up and are in running state such as APS, CALC, EAS, EPMAWEBTIER. But I only can access Essbase.
I request you to check the images attached.
Oracle Weblogic Administration Console
Oracle Fusion Middleware
How can I access these servers?
Am I having these much of troubles just because I used weblogic HTTP server instead of Oracle HTTP server?
if you are installing EPM for learning purposes, I suggest you to take the easy way and use a supported OS. Installing this software into a non supported OS will give you additional problems that you will never be sure if are caused because the non-supported OS, or because your installation / tuning is wrong.
If you download and install a Windows Server VM, it would not expire, just show you the active license message, but it will be full working.
For learning purposes / temporal Virtual machines, it is way to go.
Thanks.
My set up is the following SonarQube 6.0 + Nginx (two docker containers) hosted on a machine on azure.
I've configured the sonar-auth-aad and it's working like a charm in the browser.
I've added the self signed certificate to the store of the local machine so I don't get an error anymore.
My machine has Vs2015 update 3 and the latest version as of today for sonarlint.
When I try to connect to the server using my AAD logins, doesn't work, although it works with plain sonarqube credentials.
Is it something not supported yet or can I configure something in order to make it work?
Thanks!
We're providing the ability from SonarLint to connect to a SonarQube server with a standard login/password just for backward compatibility reasons with SonarQube 4.5. But the official way to establish this connection is by :
Generating a user authentication token in SonarQube (See http://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SONAR/User+Token)
Configure SonarLint to use this token (and not a login/password)
From there you'll manage to have SonarLint for Visual Studio establishing a connection with your SonarQube server.
Need to migrate my SonarQube to a new server (not the remote DB, just the application). Is there any special tool offered by Sonar to do so? is it just a matter of pointing this new installation (if possible) to the old DB?
Sonar v5.2
MySQL 5.x
Thanks!
I do this regularly as the servers I run on are only provisioned for 30 days. You don't specify the operating system, but for windows it's as simple as:
Stop "old" service
Copy folder from old machine to new machine
Install the windows service with the java wrapper
Start the service
In my case I change the DNS alias after the service is running
I have deployed an MVC 3 website on IIS of my Windows Server 2003 edition. I have set the authentication to Basic, Integrated, and Windows in order to enable site to use Windows authentication, and automatically log in into website if the user has launched the site from the same domain. If user access the site from another domain, it should prompt the Windows credentials and should allow user to log in.
However the problem is that, user is presented with Windows login prompt every time (irrespective to same or different domain), and also when user provides valid credentials it doesn't allow user to access the site.
What could be the problem here? Or, can anyone provide me proper guide to configure IIS to use Windows Authentication while deployed on Windows Server 2003?
What is the version of IIS you are using ? Could you try to force NTLM authentication and see whether it will change anything ? Followin technet article will tell you how to change to NTML http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/7258232a-5e16-4a83-b76e-11e07c3f2615.mspx?mfr=true. Please backup the server/iis configs before attempting any modifications to the metabase
