I am using react-native 0.61.5. For all the previous versions of my App, everything worked fine: I was running expo publish and then archiving the App on Xcode and generating a signed bundle on Android Studio. But spontaneously, now I cannot archive or generate a signed bundle (the App is still working fine in debug mode).
this is the error I get on iOS
and on Android
I also try to re-open previous versions that I was able to publish fine but now they also have the same error.
Would someone understand what is happening? :)
Thanks in advance!
Trying cleaning your build folder and trying again.
Sometimes there may be some form of file corruption or mismatch of data within the build folder, if not cleaned for a while.
Use cd android
Then ./gradlew clean
For APK ./gradlew assembleRelease
For AAB ./gradlew bundleRelease
Try the equivalent for iOS within xCode.
My Flutter Project won't run on the ios simulator and is throwing this error:
Launching lib/main.dart on iPhone Xʀ in debug mode...
Running Xcode build...
Xcode build done. 7.6s
Failed to build iOS app
Error output from Xcode build:
↳
** BUILD FAILED **
Xcode's output:
↳
=== BUILD TARGET Runner OF PROJECT Runner WITH CONFIGURATION Debug ===
/bin/sh: /Users/pinercode/AndroidStudioProjects/bmi-calculator-flutter/packages/flutter_tools/bin/xcode_backend.sh: No such file or directory
Could not build the application for the simulator.
Error launching application on iPhone Xʀ.
The xcode error was also as follows:
/bin/sh: /Users/pinercode/AndroidStudioProjects/bmi-calculator-flutter/packages/flutter_tools/bin/xcode_backend.sh: No such file or directory
I've already tried running flutter doctor and there were no errors.
I also tried re-rooting my xcode 'FLUTTER_ROOT' and 'FLUTTER_APPLICATION_PATH' in build settings, which did not work.
after a lot of messing around, I set these two settings and the build ran on to my physical device.
Goto Xcode,
click on Runner
select Project (top one)
go to Info tab
change configurations for debug
top Runner (green icon) to Generated
Bottom Runner (red circles) Pods-Runner-debug
Basically what happens is that one of the project's 'Build Phases' is running a script:
/bin/sh "$FLUTTER_ROOT/packages/flutter_tools/bin/xcode_backend.sh" build
Now in order to find xcode_backend.sh the FLUTTER_ROOT variable needs to be defined. It is defined in a file called Flutter/Generated.xcconfig, which is generated when you run flutter pub get or flutter build.
The build configuration files Debug.xcconfig and Release.xcconfig (in the same Flutter folder) include Generated.xcconfig.
Now the only thing left is to ensure that for each of the project configurations these build configuration files are properly set (in XCode under Project > Info > Configuration).
use this settings:
Open Xcode - Click on Runner(Top one)
Select the Runner from "PROJECT" Not from "TARGETS"
Select configuration
And update all the modes as this photo
Open Xcode
Click on Runner(Top one)
Select the Runner from "PROJECT" Not from "TARGETS"
Select configuration
And update all the modes for ex: In debug select "debug" configuration set
By Setting FLUTTER_ROOT as the Flutter sdk path solved this issue for me.
Setting runner to Generated in project->Info Configurations seemed to fix it. I can build in xcode now.
The simple solution was to call
flutter clean
flutter run
and then run the app from Xcode.
If changing the configuration as suggested above doesn't fix things
In your Build Phase scripts / Xcode Project change
$FLUTTER_ROOT/packages/flutter_tools/...
to
${FLUTTER_ROOT}/packages/flutter_tools/...
Did the trick for me after the upgrade to the new version of flutter broke the Build.
i have this intermittently while setting up flavors havent got an answer on fixing it but the best explanation of the trail is here https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/49495
What helped me was going under PROJECT -> Info -> Configurations
setting the following:
Debug:
Runner - None
fRunner - Debug
Release:
Runner - None
fRunner - Release
Profile:
Runner - None
fRunner - Generated
What worked for me was:
Removing my project ios folder.
(Save it elsewhere, as you will probably want to keep your Info.plist file and Podfile.)
Run flutter create . to build a new ios folder.
Replace new Info.plist and Podfile with originals.
(If you have firebase in your app as I did you likely will have to go into xcode and right-click on runner, add files to runner, and add your GoogleService-Info.plist)
flutter clean , flutter run
I tried all solutions but no one worked :( , I think there is a something missing in the flutter folder so the fast simple solution is ;)
delete flutter folder
Download the stable branch straight from GitHub instead of using an archive (url: https://docs.flutter.dev/get-started/install/macos)
git clone https://github.com/flutter/flutter.git -b stable
Verify that the flutter/bin directory is in your PATH by running
echo $PATH
flutter upgrade
flutter config enable-ios
flutter config enable-android
flutter doctor --android-licenses
flutter doctor -v
cd path/your_project_name
flutter run ios -t lib/main.dart
Unfortunately, I've deleted my react native project with Xcode may it be the .xcworkspace file or .xcodeproj. file
So in order to get my project back with .xcodeproj, I had to rename my project eject and update react native. Having said that I am able to load the emulator but the project is still not present in the emulator. How do I reintegrate it back?
Here is the error that is seen on terminal:
error Failed to build iOS project.
We ran "xcodebuild" command but it exited with error code 65.
To debug build logs further, consider building your app with Xcode.app,
by opening Project.xcodeproj
I have just updated to NativeScript 2.5
I have created a new blank project using tns-template-blank:
$ tns create BlankProject --template tns-template-blank
...... Project BlankProject was successfully created.
When I try to run it, I get an error:
$ cd BlankProject $ tns run ios --emulator
We have failed to check if we need to add a compatability
LaunchScreen.xib due to: Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory,
open
'/Users/joseanquiles/MyProjects/Nativescript/BlankProject/app/App_Resources/iOS/Info.plist'
ENOENT: no such file or directory, scandir
'/Users/joseanquiles/MyProjects/Nativescript/BlankProject/platforms/ios/BlankProject/Resources'
However, if I create a new project using default template (without --template option), it run ok in iOS emulator.
Before, with NativeScript 2.4.2, it run perfectly, using blank template.
Is there a problem with blank template and 2.5 ?
Thank you in advance.
I had the same problem (for an iOS build) using both the tns-template-tab-navigation and the tns-template-master-detail and i noticed that a folder (and its contents) were missing from the app folder... the missing folder is called App_Resources.....
To fix the problem I just found a previous project that i had built with the default template (I think...) and copied the App_Resources folder across into the failing app folder.
My guess is that only a couple of the templates actually build the App_resources folder correctly but once you have copied the folder across from a successful build it 'should' work OK
Cheers

I am trying to create a .APK file in Bamboo using the xbuild executable in a command task. The way I thought it should work is like this:
CusomterApp.sln /t:SignAndroidPackage /p:Configuration=Release
This however when I run the build will give this error. Target named 'SignAndroidPackage' not found in the project. I have tried to build it without it but I am getting other errors instead. I have tried changing the order of it and changing the target but it doesn't seem to create the apk file doing this.
I have seen in another question that someone created an apk file using this(not on Bamboo):
xbuild $ANDROID_PROJECT_FILE /t:SignAndroidPackage /p:Configuration=Release
So I thought I should have no problems with using this on Bamboo but the executable doesn't seem to recognize the SignAndroidPackage and doesn't work, any ideas on how to fix this?
I create a .IPA file for an IPhone app using mdtool, with this command -v build -t:Build "c:Release|iPhone" CustomerApp.sln and this works fine for creating the .IPA file so I would have thought that the .APK would be fine too.
I think that the problem is to do with using the solution file for the Android apk file, The bamboo will create a solution folder which has both iOS and Android files in it. The iOS worked and built the IPA file when I used the CustomerApp.sln file. The apk file does not build when I use the CustomerApp.sln. If I use this CustomerApp.Droid/CustomerApp.Droid.csproj file I get a list of error's Are you missing an assembly reference?
When I was doing the IPA I got this error using the CustomerApp.iOS/CustomerApp.iOS.csproj file which I fixed by using the CustomerApp.sln file instead. How can I fix this as the whole folder contains information that is necessary for the creation of the APK file?
I have found a problem that when I try to build the apk file using this: /p:Configuration=Release CustomerApp.sln it gives me the error PCL assemblies not installed and it also has this warning : Unable to find framework corresponding to the target moniker '.NetPortable,Version=v4.5,Profile=Profile78'. Framework assembly references will be resolved from the GAC, which might not be the intended behaviour. I don't know why this is happening as I looked for the profile in the folder specified and it was there.
I had this problem before when trying to use xbuild to create the IPA file but then I used mdtool and it worked fine, I think I need to use xbuild to build the apk file but I can't see how to fix it. I also tried to run it in the terminal of the mac and I got the same error. Why is this happening?
The reason this happens is because you have to specify a .csproj, not a .sln. If you give it a solution file, you'll get an error complaining that it can't find the "SignAndroidPackage" target.
