Trying to make a desktop slideshow screensaver. Instead of the same pictures time and time again I thought it would be cool to pull from an Instagram feed.
RSS feeds can be used to get live data from sites like Facebook, twitter, etc. I was wondering if there is a way to have a similar effect for downloading Instagram photos.
What I need:
Program that updates once a day
Searches a specific Instagram account, or multiple
Downloads the latest 10 photos for example
Removes old photos (so the folder doesn't get oversized)
That way Windows can pull the photos from that folder to use for a slideshow.
Anyone have any ideas how to accomplish this? Or how to go about accomplishing this?

I have a working "Action On Google" that we programmed.
I separately created a website that Chromecasts video (based on Google's sample code).
However, what I would REALLY like to have is speak to my Google Home, then automatically have content (ideally an image + audio, then a video right after) cast to the Chromecast.
Is this technically possible exclusively through the Google Home interaction?
Alternately, is there a way to cast image + audio at the same time through a website (and what code do I need to do so)?
Right there is no API for third-party developers to programmatically send content to a Chromecast.
I have set up a wordpress theme called Video Board, the site I am building allows users to upload their videos for comments. Uploading a video from a mobile device is critical, the theme supports mp4 which covers android users, however it does not support .mov. Has anyone come across a way to play .mov in videojs?
The server has ffmpeg installed, however the last plugin I tried needed its own upload page which worked however videos were not captured in the themes latest uploads/popular posts etc.
I know a conversion would be the proper way to do it, but at this point I would even be happy working out a way that when users upload videos through the theme upload page, it doesn't actually convert but just changes the file extension(renames) it to .mp4, as that is all I have been doing to fill out some content.
I am open to all suggestions,

There are tech plugins for video.js, but these will require browser plugins. You're far better off converting the mov files after upload to standard formats, e.g. h264/acc MP4
As I know, there is no way to get the video file in the camera roll.
But recently I did it when using updated WhatsApp.
Wahtsapp supportes video file uploading which is not in saved IsolatedStroage in wp7/wp8 devices.
How did it?
Now I'm researching but can't find.
Please help me.

I'm looking for a general purpose media player for my website. I have lots of links to docs, images, videos, mp3s etc. When the user clicks on one of the links, I'd like some sort of viewer to pop up and show the contents, e.g. if its a mp3 it will play the mp3 etc.
I'm aware of the yahoo media player for audio (http://mediaplayer.yahoo.com/), and things like yoxview (http://yoxigen.com/yoxview/Default.aspx) for images.
Has anybody had any experience with using any of these? Are there any general purpose viewers that will do all file formats, or is it a matter of integrating a few different ones like those above on my site?
You'll need separate viewers for audio, video, and images.
For anything other than those three, you're best off just serving the file directly the the client. Users would prefer to open a document in their word processor than play with it in some web based viewer.
If you really want to push the issue you may be able to push documents over to Google Docs and view them there the way GMail does, but I'm not sure if there is an external API to support that.

I am trying to find a way to upload the following flash replay to youtube easily

I want to do these for a large number of replays from the site. Problem is, I can't download the swf or flv somehow even after trying various flash downloader tools, such as Flashgot firefox extension.
Can anyone enlighten me as to why I can't download the replay for viewing locally, and briefly outline a way to script the uploading to youtube?
try http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9789 its a greasemonkey script for facebook flash videos. I havent tried it personally but it looks like if you are on facebook you should be able to save the flv file with it
