Previously I was using Xamarin Studio to build the App and it was working perfectly fine. Now I copied the same solution and try to build on Visual Studio through Xamarin Mac Agent. whenever I try to run the App, I am getting following error:

conflicts with another assembly

Upgrade the VS to current stable channel version, refer to here
Try to rename Application Name in your project in visual studio,since both two assembly would be referred to same place.

Same question was already asked multiple times with different source reasons, all for VS2017 usually for upgrading VS extensions from VS2015, and it should have been solved with VS 2019. Yet, it just popped up.

I have tried all the solution for the same error found on SO, so far to no avail. I am using VS 2019 Community 16.9.2, updated all packages, downgraded some to try, nothing really changes this error.
This is my first attempt on VSIX and I just downloaded an existing project from github and compiled it.
The github project is working (probably) since the extension is available on the marketplace.
Any other suggestions? Searches on this error in combination with the JoinableTaskFactory dont return exactly many results.
For me the solution was to do at least one of the following steps:
Delete the obj-folder in the project
Execute Reset the Visual Studio 2019 Experimental Instance. You can find this tool when you search it in the windows search bar.
Clean and Rebuild the project
Sometimes it helped if I did only one step and sometimes it only worked after doing all the steps.
I couldn't find out if there is a specific pattern behind, but doing all of the above steps always fixed the error for me.
Another issue where I got the same error was if there was the wrong external program selected under Project Properties -> Debug -> Start external Program. For VS2019 I need to select C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Enterprise\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe
If I switched between Visual Studio Versions, then sometimes a different Visual Studio version was selected.
Uncheck: "Deploy VSIX content to experimental instance for debugging"
in solution properties->VSIX
Also Update installed NuGet packages.
I have some annyoing problem which I can't figure out. I installed Visual Studio 2017 Community on a new laptop and loaded an project I made on my old one from TFS. Suddenly some of the references can't get resolved.
So I tried to create a complete fresh ASP.NET MVC Project and download some of the assemblies that don't work in the old project by NUGET. After downloading the references don't work. I get already the warning in VS. One of those assemblies that doesn't work is for example
The referenced component 'System.Linq.Expressions' could not be found.
NUGET downloaded the assembly correctly and added the reference to the project. If I open the project file I find the entry for System.Linq.Expressions
and in HintPath: ..\packages\System.Linq.Expressions.4.3.0\lib\net463.
That file definitely exists on the file system. I also tried to change to path to an absolute one manually with same result.
I am using the newest .NET framework 4.7.2
Any suggestions what might be the problem?
I am using Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise to generate Coded UI Tests. Things have been working well until this morning. When I attempt to create a new Solution/Project, I am given the following error:
I am then able finish loading the project. However, I see another issue in solution explorer:
Note that there is no path given for the selected reference. If I try to remove it/add it back as a reference manually, I still do not see a path or version. I have tried the following:
Selected different .Net framework versions when creating the solution/project
Tried different project types: Window Forms, Class Library
Repaired visual studio
Repaired .Net Framework 4.6.1
So far I have been unable to make the error go away. Any other suggestions?
I was not able to resolve this issue. I ended up performing a reinstall of the OS/Visual Studio to get things working again.
I have a visual studio solution which works fine on one machine and when I copy the complete same solution to another machine it misses few external dlls.
Both the machine have same configuration and same version of visual studio.
I tried removing reference and adding again.I am able to reference the dll and use code but when I re-build,It gives the same error.Any pointers on what could have gone wrong?

Also the warning shows.
The primary reference "NameSpaceName" could not be resolved because it was built against the ".NETFramework,Version=v4.5" framework. This is a higher version than the currently targeted framework ".NETFramework,Version=v4.0".
Both the machine have Visual Studio 2010 installed. It works on one and doesn't work on another machine
The reference you have added to the project is likely not in a subfolder of your project but referenced from the Global Assembly Cache (GAC). Since you probably didn't copy the GAC, this reference is now of a different version. Figure out which (3rd party ?) component is affected and install an older version of that component.
Typically, Visual Studio cannot target .NET 4.5, unless you applied a workaround. In that case, you can go to the project properties, Application and change Target Framework from 4.0 to 4.5.
Just playing with Xamarin.Forms, downloaded sample project TipCalc from here. When I try to open the solution in Xamarin Studio I am getting this error.

Please someone guide me, what should i configure in my project, to make this to run successfully. I am using Xamarin Studio 5, my OS is windows 7 ultimate.
I installed Portable Library Tools followed by Xamarin.Android to fix this. This error occurs if we try to load the pcl project without installing portable library tools, because Xamarin checks for following file in the machine while loading pcl project.
