search-and-replace dialog is now mostly transparent - visual-studio

I must have accidentally hit a shortcut key or clicked where I shouldn't have...now my search/replace dialog box in my code editor window is mostly transparent.
Anyone know how to make it opaque again?

How to view errors/toggle log window in pine script editor?

Maybe a stupid question. I'm new to TradingView and pine script, so please bear with me if there's some simple way to do this...
I figured out how to copy and modify a script from the library. At first, I could see a tiny edge of a window at the bottom of the script. When I saved or attempted to add the script to the chart, the window showed whether the script processed or had errors.
Now, though, I seem to have "lost" that window. How can I display that window? Also, once displayed, how can I make it larger?
Edit:
Here's a screenshot of the bottom of my editor -
Right-clicking on the console (errors) window showed a little pop-up saying:
While my cursor is in the editor window, holding Ctrl (or Cmd on a Mac) plus the backtick key toggles the console window open and closed.
Now, I can see the console log window whether I have errors or not.
you can show/hide the pane with pine scripts with the "_" icon on the right side:
show
hide
On the rigt side next to the "_" icon you can toggle/maximize the pine script window.
Add any error to your script and save the script.
In the lower left corner, you will see a small gray triangle.
Drag it up with the mouse.
The "Show console" was never visible in my browser. Only the "Toggle console", which did not do anything for me.
I tried a different browser and the console showed well. So I figure it was the browser I was using "Firefox".
So, I re-started Firefox, by going to Un-install Programs in Windows, clicking "Remove program", in front of the Firefox logo, which gave me the choice to restart Firefox. I did took that choice and this fixed the problem for me. I hope it helps others.
On Firefox, it may bug and never show it even with the shortcuts (because it becomes a tiny single-line that can't be dragged at the bottom of the page).
In order to fix it without uninstalling firefox: clean the site data for the domain.

Enable the disabled underlying window

Sometimes in the Windows OS, a program is able to open a new window which disables it's underlying window. Closing the newly opened window of course re-enables the first window. I want to enable the underlying window without closing the newly opened window with Autohotkey.
I made a gif which shows the situation perfectly:

I thought I might be able to pull this off with window styles and window extended styles, so here's what I tried:
^!e::
MouseGetPos,,, WindowUnderMouse
WinSet, Style, -0x8000000, ahk_id WindowUnderMouse
return
But it didn't work. I also did a lot of googling on this, but I didn't know what would be the proper keywords so I didn't find anything. Any idea how to accomplish this?
Some keywords for google:
How to make a modal window modeless
How to enable a disabled window
How to make a palette window
How to make a modal window a palette window
How to enable parent window
Child window disabling parent window

Visual Studio window with several tabs - howto make tab icons visible?

Is there any way to make windows tab icons always visible? When window is not pinned, or big enough to display text, it looks like this:
Icons appears only when we make this window too small to fit text on tabs:
Is there any registry hack or something to make those icons always visible?

Hidden window takes all input

I have other application's fullscreen direct-x window, which I need to hide. I found the way to hide it by hooking direct-x create device and changing window parameters so it is not fullscreen. This works ok on XP but on Win-7 I can't use any other application because it looks like application is switching it to be foreground window so all clicks and keyboard input goes to that window. However if I click fast I can make some action. This make me think that this app is using some function to direct input to itself, or to focus, dunno what.
The other thing is that if I resize the window and don't hide it, all works ok.
I tried to hook SetCapture, SetForegroundWindow, SetActiveWindow and SetWindowPos and none of this helped.
Do you have some idea how can I hide window in other way, or what can cause this focusing to invisible window?

How to exit full-screen mode in Expression Blend

Somehow, Expression Blend has entered full-screen mode (no window chrome), but I can still minimize/maximize/restore/move through the taskbar button. I don't see any menu options for full-screen mode, and the normal keyboard shortcuts don't work (F11, Alt-Enter).
I'm not sure how this happened, but I would sorely love to get my chrome back to make interacting with the window easier.
I've never seen a Full-screen mode in Blend. Maybe you accidentally hit Tab or F4 and did an Auto-hide to all of the panels?
you can press ESC button
in code use:
Application.Current.Host.Content.IsFullScreen = false;
check this
After not even trying to use Blend for my application for a really long time, it turns out it was my own fault to begin with. I had created a custom chrome control that would find its parent Window and remove the frame. I wasn't checking design mode, so whenever my control was instantiated by blend, it would remove all the chrome from the window :).
