I've created an admin dashboard for administrating members. As an admin I can login in do everything.
I need also to allow these members (regular users) to login, be redirected to their profile page and be able to edit a subset of their properties.
I've searched through the documentation but have been unable to figure how best to accomplish this.
Is there a standard way, and if there is how can do this?
All what you need to manage user permissions on your dashboard is available on the Authorization section of the documentation.
Firstly, at the authentication step, you have to set the current user permission (basically a string of your choices, given by the API and/or stored inside the local storage for example: user, admin, user_X, etc):

To prevent the url field from being injected into the React component this Gatsby page query runs on (because these urls are paid for), I need to remove it, if the public field is set to false.
I've tried inserting this into gastby-node.js:

But neither seems to work. The url field returns the url as always. The resolvers don't even seem to fire (I've tried putting console.log()'s in them).
Any help on how to remove the url field if the public field is set to false, or general direction to go in would be very appreciated.
Ditch the attempt in createSchemaCustomization since you don't need to customize the schema here (though I believe there is a way to achieve what you want using it, it is not expected that the data in it is sourced from existing nodes, and this undeclared dependency can create caching issues).
Then update your createResolvers function to something like this:

I don't believe resolvers can replace schema-originated nodes (fields), hence using safeUrl instead of url
The type you are adding a field to is SanityVideo, and it doesn't matter what the parent node is—this will apply to all instances of SanityVideo in your data

Grid popup mvvm binding seems fail when I add a new row and to set value of model attribute in edit eventHandler(model.set("port","udp")) but the select input doesn't change value and from debugger console it shows that event.model's value of property keep unchanged.
But after i manually selecting the port,I try to model.set("port","tcp"),it works!
I am confused of the timing of the binding mechanism of the value field of input element and kendo model binding...

I am using a custom template for kendo grid popup Add / Edit form. Here is my working DEMO
I want to implement conditional validation on form fields such as if any value is entered for Address (not left empty) then the fields City and Postal Code should become required, otherwise they can be empty. Also I want to ise a custom validation rule for PostCode so that its length should always be equal to 4 else it should show a custom error message as "Postcode must be four digits"

I will create a custom validator
Override the edit(grid) function place the validator there
Override the save(grid) function use validator.validate() before saving
