How to get GoogleMobileAd SDK version from .framework file? - xcode

Google recently announced:
Beginning Jan 23, 2018, Google Mobile Ads SDK versions older than 7.0.0 for Android and 7.0.0 for iOS will no longer be supported. Publishers with these older versions will not be able to serve ads in their apps(s). Please ensure that you have upgraded to the latest version of the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
I have .framework file of GoogleMobileAds SDK but I don't know the version. Is somewhere in this file version of this framework written, so I know I'm in the safe zone?

Xamarin Android target version

I am receiving the error message below when trying to release a Xamarin Android app on the Play Developer Console
Upload failed
Your app currently targets API level 26 and must target
at least API level 28 to ensure that it is built on the latest APIs
optimised for security and performance. Change your app's target API
level to at least 28. Find out how.
I have the following settings in VS for Mac
Also, all of the Xamarin.Android libraries that I am using are v28.0.0.3.
It must be an issue with your Android support libraries or the version. Can you ensure the below and try to publish it with a new version?
Ensure the latest SDK (API level 28) is installed in your Android SDK Manager
Ensure you have the latest Android Support libraries and Build tools installed.
Set your Android Target version to API level 28 and Minimum Android version to something lesser than that.
Following points you should note:
When Google play talks about target Android version it is talking about the Target Framework in your Android Project Properties.
The error message that you are getting has nothing to do with what version of support libraries that you have. But when you target the latest version you might want to have the support libraries of the same version.
Adding all the SDK's that your Android app is going to support is recommended which means if you Min Android support version is 21 per se and you want to target the latest version then make sure that your Android SDK has all these sdks's so that there are no issues while parsing your APK in the desired version.
I wouldn't recommend that your min Android version is set to version 9 because of the fact 90% of the devices do not have this version of SDK which means none of them will be able to install or use your APP. Which if you ask me should never be the case. Supporting the widest possible audience is always the best call.
After making the above changes your app should work fine. Feel free to get back to me if you have any questions or queries...

App store submission using Xcode 8.1

I found the below content from the link https://developer.apple.com/testflight/release-notes/.
Starting May 10, 2017, app archives built with Xcode 8.3 will no longer be accepted. Make sure to build and submit your apps using Xcode 8.3.1 or later.
What does they mean?. I cannot submit the apps using lower(than 8.3.1) XCode version?.I'm using 8.1 as of now, with 8.1 I cannot submit the apps to app store?

-> You can submit builds using Xcode 6.0 or later or application loader 3.0 or later. Starting May 10, 2017, app archives built with Xcode 8.3 will no longer be accepted. It specifically says with built 8.3 not allowed.
Either Apple needs to update this release notes or update on ItunesConnect. I have recently submitted an build with 8.1 which was uploaded successfully on iTunes

Google Maps SDK for iOS version 2.1 download?

I want to download the latest version (2.1) of the Google Maps (and Google Places) SDK for iOS, but on their website they only have the previous version (2.0.1).
Step 2: Install the SDK: Install Manually
Does anyone know where I can download it? (without using Cocoapods)
You can check their podspecs.
You can find the link to the framework under the key source.

Creating a LiveCode IOS standalone application

I just started to use LiveCode and tried to create a standalone IOS app and get the following error:
"There was an error while saving the standalone application performing
iOS device builds requires the iOS 5.0 SDK platform to be installed"
We are using Xcode version 4.5.1 which includes the IOS 6 SDK along with LiveCode version 5.5.1 and thought that all needed SDK's would be installed when we installed Xcode.
We also don't know where to get the IOS 5.0 SDK and how to get it installed in Xcode so LiveCode can use it.
You only need iOS 5 SDK if you are deploying an armv6 or universal app. If you are deploying armv7 only then you won't get this error if you have iOS 6 or 6.1 SDKs. If you do that though your app won't support older armv6 devices from iPhone 3G back. When the standalone is built LiveCode needs the SDK that the engine was built against. This is why when a new SDK comes out LiveCode won't support it until its next release. If your using LiveCode it's worthwhile getting into the habit of retaining each version of Xcode.
Try upgrading to Xcode 4.5.2 and then take a look at this link: http://forums.runrev.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=9339

How long can I use prior versions of Azure SDK once a new version ships?

Currently the newest version of Azure SDK is 1.5, but I'm using 1.4 and don't want to waste time upgrading right now.
Will I face any problems deploying a package built against version 1.4 onto live cloud? How long (approximately) can I continue building against version 1.4?
Other than the pre-PDC CTP SDK, all RTM versions of the SDK are supported and continue to be supported. Before I left MSFT, there were customers still on v1.0 and it had literally been > year. I can't find any official documentation on SDK support windows, but we used to say the support window was very long and that you would be given a lot of warning if things were going to be deprecated (like CTP SDK versions).
