Spring WebFlux: Only one connection receive subscriber allowed - spring-boot

I am writing a simple app with Spring 5 Webflux and Kotlin. I am trying to implement PUT endpoint in a following way:

The trick on save is that I try to read a city name from item, resolve geo coordinates, overwrite them in original item and then save to Mongo using Spring Data Mongo Reactive repo.

The problem is that if make a PUT request I got following stacktrace. I have tried to stub Mono with val geo = Mono.just(Geo(0.0, 0.0)) (without using WebClient) and then it works fine.
How to fix it without sacrifying functionality?)

WebClient.exchange() result stream is unicast
The problem here is in fact that WebClient allows only one subscriber per connection. If you try to subscribe to the same exchanged connection twice - you will get java.lang.IllegalStateException: Only one connection receive subscriber allowed.
Despite the fact that I don't see where you have tried to reuse the same connection twice, I believe that you may solve that problem by using next combination of operators:

in that example, flow is configured to multicasts (shares) the original source as long as there is at least one Subscriber will be subscribed.
In case if you need that all subscribers receive the same date you may replace .share with .cache operator.
Also, there is an alternative to above technique. You may replace mentioned operator with a processor and get the same sharing possibility:

In that case, you subscribing and running consumption of source's data exactly right after calling subscribeWith, so, potentially, in that case, you may lose some part of data, etc.
Why with Mono.just(..) everything works fine?
First of all .just is a cold operator, it allows as many as possible subscribers which receive the same data at any point in time. That is why when you tried to consume the same chunk of data from the connection twice, you did not get any exceptions.

I had a similar issue. The fix was to specify this dependency:
org.springframework:spring-webflux:5.1.4.RELEASE
As I used spring-boot it deploys the previous version of it. Unfortunately, the link to this issue is not existing now.
So now my gradle looks like this:

Spring cloud gateway - io.netty.util.internal.OutOfDirectMemoryError when using modifyRequestBody filter

I am using
Spring Cloud Gateway version 3.0.3
reactor-netty-core 1.0.10
and i am facing a io.netty.util.internal.OutOfDirectMemoryError when the spring cloud gateway modifyRequestBody filter is being used. When it is being commented out, load tests runs fine without any error.
In our filters, we are doing a cache of the request body which will be used in our Fallback when there is a timeout or errors. Cache is just using the default ServerWebExchangeUtils.cacheRequestBody method.Fallback is implemented using Resilience4j Circuit Breaker.
In part of our chain, we are also using the spring gateway modifyRequestBody filter to modify our request body before sending it to the resource server.

Resource Manager log error while YARN is working normally

I submitted the spark program to run on YARN.

This means that the server attempted to flush out the remaining bytes to the client, but the client closed the connection before all of those bytes were sent.
This happens, fairly often with web browsers when the user navigates off the page, or closes the tab before the entire contents of the response have been send.
This happens even more often with clients that have flaky internet connections, such as mobile clients (such as when they switch towers, or go from mobile to wifi, or wifi to mobile, etc)
This also happens, with some regularity, when the client simply doesn't read the entire response and closes the connection. This often is a result of a client that isn't following the HTTP spec properly.
Example: If the client knows it is going to close the connection when it is done, it should have added the Connection: close header on the request.
The client reads the response up until it has what it wants, then closes the connection. (such as when reading JSON or XML it will read up until the JSON or XML is complete, but not any other data after it, even whitespace). This is a fact that surprises many developers using 3rd party parsing libraries. Good libraries have specific configuration options to keep reading until Soft EOF (eg: the end of the HTTP response on a persistent connection)

java.util.NoSuchElementException: No value present even though we use stream

I am new to java, i am running a local server (jar) and trying to hit an API endpoint. All data is correct, and I am getting below :

firstFirst returns an Optional, that you call get on, if that is an empty Optional - you will get that Exception.
You could write it as follows, where if it is present (that Optional) you would map it to Map::values (I assume that your findFirst returns some kind of a Map), otherwise get a Collections.emptyList().

Optional#get() throws NoSuchElementException if no value is present means value is null.
To avoid exception you can use Optional#orElse(T other) which returns the value if present, otherwise returns other value passed in the method.
Optional<Integer> d1 = Optional.of(10);
Optional<Integer> d2 = Optional.empty();
Integer res1 = d1.orElse(0); // return 10 since value is present
Integer res2 = d2.orElse(0); // return 0 since value is not present
Or you want to throw an exception when if no value is present then use orElseThrow
optionalObj.orElseThrow(ArithmeticException::new)
Then you can do further operation based on value.

Nomin and Spring Boot application: recursive mapping rule a = b causes infinite loop

As I had already few issues with combination Nomin, Eclipse and Groovy (see link1 and link2), I am again struggling with it.
My application works with JUnit Tests, both in Console via Gradle and Eclipse. But now it doesn't want to work when executing SpringBoot-Main class. Either in Eclipse nor with gradle bootRun on Console or Eclipse Gradle Task => Same Exception

UPDATE:
The following CodeSnippet from Nomin.class works as expected when running under Test. When running via bootRun the else if on line 220 is false, what should be true.
On line 220 we have pm.sideB.isAssignableFrom(key.source) what should result to true, because pm.sideB is type of Coin, and key.source is type of Coin (see Screenshots).
Your problem is caused by spring-boot-devtools runtime dependency. When you run your application with a debugger you will find out that classes net.hemisoft.ccm.porter.Coin and net.hemisoft.ccm.domain.CoinOnMarketPlace are loaded twice using two different classloaders:

org.springframework.boot.devtools.restart.classloader.RestartClassLoader
This is why following part of code evaluates to false:

Even though key.source and pm.sideB seems to be the "same" classes, they are not equal because they are being managed by two different classloaders. Classes with the same canonical name are only equal inside the same classloader. And this is why your unit test works like a charm - there is no spring boot devtools involved and if you go with debugger to Nomin.java:(line 220) while running unit test, you will see that key.source and pm.sideB hold a reference to the same class inside one classloader so this expression evaluates to true and the mapping you defined is being used. Otherwise nomin tries to generate mapping automatically (it can be disabled with Nomin.disableAutoMapping()) and in this case, it uses default introspector - ReflectionIntrospector. This one causes issues with Groovy classes as we already figured out in one of your previous SO questions.
Solution
Disable spring-boot-devtools or disable restarts or at least try to exclude your domain classes from restarting application. You can check Spring Boot Devtools docs to see how to do it. I would just get rid of it - as you can see it makes your application running differently in your dev environment, so you can never be sure how it behaves when running live.
