I am developing custom component in Joomla 3.0. I want to add 3 level sub menu in back-end component menu item. Current Joomla shows menu as in below the screen.

I have added manual Database Entry into Menu table with appropriate parent id but still it does not show in menu list.
I think its not work with 3rd level,
The requirement is important then try to modify the mod_menu module .
You can find the module at administrator\modules\mod_menu.
I'm also tried not work with DB entry only :(
I am building a multilingual site using Joomla 3.1.5 and am having trouble in getting the menu item for the active page to be higlighted in the English version only.
By inspecting the HTML source I can see that the active menu item (a HTML li tag) has css classes "current active" in all languages except English. In the English version of the site, none of the menu item would be selected. I am totally lost in fiddling with the settings and wonder if anyone has any idea on this issue?
I found the answer myself. The menu being wrongly shown was the one from "ALL" language, once I unpublished the "ALL" menu, the real "English" menu got shown up correctly with the active one being marked with css class "current active".
Iam have some problems with a drop down menu. I have asigned a drop down menu to the menu item "test 1". But when iam on the default page it wont show the drop down menu, when i hover the item. It only works when click on the menu item "test 1".
I need the dropdown menu to be showed, no matter witch page you are watching.
Can some one help me? I guess it is a simple styling, but cant seem to figure it out.

What module are you using for the menu system?
You may try using a different menu extension that the one being used currently.
It may be a CSS issue.
I have downloaded this template to my joomla 2.5.6 and I'm trying to create a horizontal menu. I have created menu and module that should be displaying that menu. I have set position to user3 (as I've read that is the default position for horizontal menu), but nothing showed up.
The only positions I can see my menu on are "search" and "top-panel".
Can anybody please guide me how to find what may cause the problem?
EDIT: I have renamed the menu to "menu1" and so did with "menu type" and it has showed up. Why? Where's any logic?

Make sure you have set on which pages to activate the menu:
You can find these settings in the module manager > your menu
check the positions using ?tp=1 at the end of your url
log in to your joomla backend.
go to article manager and create an article..
go to menu manager and create a new menu, select your article which will me mostly a single article if you have created others then choose others, such as featured article or others,
then on the same page on required setting choose the article you have created.
save and close..
now go to
module manager,
go to the menu or content menu or horizontal menu,
down below there will be menu assignment,
choose the menu and show to it all pages..

I tried adding some pages in joomla but the navigation on the left disappears when following the newly add link. Please have a look here and notice the left navigation bar not showing under the "Test Menu Item" (left bottom).
I have literally copied all parameters from another menu item (e.g. "MILIEU") but it doesnt seem to affect the behavior. In stead the "news archive" item is always listed in the left navigation area.
How to remove the news archive link and have the normal navigation shown?
