c3 donut chart label with line connector - c3.js

I am using c3 donut chart. I want to display customized label. Like show labeloutside of arc with line pointing. Please see image.
Is there any way to display label with line outside of arc?
I have done lot of research but not able to find a solution.

Another option seems to be to not show the percentages in the donut part of the chart.
One can instead put the percentages down onto the labels. So, instead of:
Category 1
Category 2
Category 3
it would say:
Category 1: 19%
Category 2: 5%
Category 3: 13%
Would this work? Is this possible? I see that I can change the label text as I fill the columns array, but what I have at that point is the number of things, not the percentages. I would have to calculate the percentages myself in the columns list setup code. I could do this, but ick.
Any other options?

complex multipart clickable label on dc.js bar chart

I am new to dc.js. I want to build the chart pictured below:
On the top of each bar, there should be values like 2/3. This denotes the number of records for two different categories. I need to show each value in a different color.
Also I have a requirement that the values should be clickable to view the records in separate table when we click on the value.
Can anyone help on this?

dc.js cap ordinal bar chart

dc.js has a Cap mixin which allows one to limit the number of groups and display the remainder in an "others" group. How does one access this behavior or exclude the remainder in a bar chart?
I am using a bar chart as I want to show a top 5 with stacked data. For example, the top 10 car manufacturers based on the total of fleet and private sales (in separate stacks). I am using a function to dynamically generate 5 ordinals (i.e. car manufacturers) for the x axis in the order that I want, and the graph generates nearly as expected. However, a separate bar containing the values that don't fit into one of the x values is placed at the start of the graph.
I've added a snapshot of the chart below. Note that I've rotated it with renderlet so it's on its side.
How do I remove the extraneous bar (at the top)?
If not possible, I may contemplate using two row charts side by side with one flipped so that the origin is on the right.
Sigh, the bar chart is not capped, and the row chart is not stacked. Hope to fix that.
That extraneous bar looks... not right.
With capped charts, you can eliminate the "others group" by setting the othersGrouper falsy. With the bar chart you would have to implement a "fake group" using the techniques documented here:
https://github.com/dc-js/dc.js/wiki/FAQ#filter-the-data-before-its-charted
... at least for now.

SlickGrid: 2 questions: 1) change the orientation of column labels and 2) display d3.js elements inside cells

New to SlickGrid here, and have a couple questions:
1) Is it possible to change the orientation of the column labels? I would like to display a grid without horizontal scrolling, and the data can easily fit if I limit the width of each column. However is I do that, I dont have enough space for my column labels. So I am wondering if - like in excel - I could change the orientation of the column labels (to say 45 degreees vs. horizontal)? If not, any other suggestion?
2) Is it possible to display D3.js type elements (shapes etc) inside cells? If not, are there options to display things such as color coded stop-lights type things?
As you might have guessed, I am building a dashboard that pulls data from a summary table in a DB, and need visual eye candy. It's probably all doable in D3.js, but I'm looking for a faster way to implement, and a data grid appears appropriate.

How to Change Legend Type in Excel?

I have a line chart, where the chart legend also in forms of line. Is there a way I can change the legend type from colored line to colored circle or square?
Figure like this. http://www.nevron.com/gallery/FullGalleries/chartActiveX/stackline/images/StackLine1.png
I don't think you can use this method to get circles, but if you want to get squares, you can change the chart to a 3-D line chart, then right-click the chart area and select '3-D Rotation'. Change everything in the Rotation section of the menu to as close to 0 as you can get it. This will make your chart show up as a regular line chart while the legend shows little cubes. After you've done that, though, you'll probably have to change the axis settings. In my experience, 3D charts tend to show too many gridlines.

Extending chart functionality in SSRS

The default chart object in the SQL Server (2005) Business Intelligence Development Studio doesn't seem to some have formatting options like :
specifying the text direction of labels in the x and y axis
adding a trendline to a bar chart
arbitrarily resizing items in a chart - for example, if I resize the chart object, everything gets resized accordingly but I can't keep the size of the chart the same while extending the area of the legend for instance.
multiline chart labels
So what I want to know is
is there any easy answer to the formatting problems mentioned above?
what websites/books/resources/examples would you recommend I look
into for extending the functionality of the chart object?
Some colleagues of mine gave up on the stock control and bought Dundas charts
The stock charts are cut down versions of Dundas.
yes you can specify the text direction of labels in the x and y axis
Go to chart properties and in the tab x and y axis enter the chart title and in the title align use the combination like left/right/center align.
you can change the legend line go to the chart properties click legend tab inside this
there is an option for "display legend inside plot area" and you can include the trendline there
you can use multiline text labels when the text limits extends
I don't see how you can resize the legend, puting inside the plot area looks ugly for pie-chart
I'd recommend go with the dundas chart components gbn suggested.
If that's not possible at least this article should solve issue 1.
