I am using spark and hadoop on docker container:
I have 3 container master and 2 slave.
Everything is working properly but I have problem with spark proxy webapp when running a task.
I can connect to yarn webapp though nhttp://172.20.0.2:8088/
I can also acces the nodes with http://172.20.0.3:8042/node and http://172.20.0.3:8043/node
But when tring to access spark monitoring with this address http://172.20.0.2:8088/proxy/application_1521727348200_0001/ I get
HTTP ERROR 500
Problem accessing /proxy/application_1521727348200_0001/. Reason:

I think that the problem is related to network interfaces;
First of all I am using docker network overlay and not a bridge. If I use a bridge I can access the monitor via localhost or the public address of the container
When I have used overlay the first time I couldn't even access yarn webapp (I get connection refused)
When I am in the container all this command give me connection refused
wget localhost:8088/
wget 172.18.0.2:8088/
but this one works
wget 10.0.0.2:8088/
So I had to add this to yarn-site.xml
<property>
<name>yarn.resourcemanager.webapp.address</name>
<value>0.0.0.0:8088</value>
</property>
The problem was related to the network interface because I have this in the same file.
<property>
<name>yarn.resourcemanager.hostname</name>
<value>hadoop-master</value>
</property>
and hadoop-master is the hostname of this address 10.0.0.2.
after changing yarn.resourcemanager.webapp.address I can access the 8088 port from all network interfaces but I couldn't access spark monitoring like I have explained above.
Udapte :
I have notice another thing if I use
wget http://hadoop-master:8088/proxy/application_1521730349211_0003/inside the container I get the correct index.html page without any error.
So The problem is indeed related to networks interfaces.
Thank you
HDFS and Yarn seem to struggle without hostnames known to all members
Make sure you have all your ip+hostname in /etc/hosts on all hosts and finally:
<property>
<name>yarn.resourcemanager.webapp.address</name>
<value>0.0.0.0:8088</value>
</property>
needs to be:
<property>
<name>yarn.resourcemanager.webapp.address</name>
<value>hostname:8088</value>
</property>

I am new to the ZAP and trying to pen test XML(SOAP) services. I already have Java based regression tests for the SOAP and trying to proxy them through ZAP, but unable to do so.
I am looking for some guidance as how to successfully use my regression tests to perform security testing on SOAP services using ZAP?
Details:
I add following parameters to Java in my regression tests so that they may successfully connect to SOAP services:
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore", "C:/standalone/configuration/app.keystore"); // certificate
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", "somepassword"); // password
ZAP is starting up with following command-line and able to intercept other browser calls proxying through localhost:8888:
zap.bat -host localhost -port 8888 -config api.addrs.addr.regex=true -config api.key=12345 -config connection.timeoutInSecs=60
But when I try to run regression tests with following proxy settings, they completely ignore ZAP as proxy and run just fine with or without ZAP server running:
System.setProperty("http.proxyHost", "localhost");
System.setProperty("http.proxyPort", "8888");
System.setProperty("https.proxyHost", "localhost");
System.setProperty("https.proxyPort", "8888");
Then I added SOCKs proxy settings in regression tests:
System.setProperty("socksProxyHost", "localhost");
System.setProperty("socksProxyPort", "8888");
Now, I get following error in tests:
16:52:00.623 [main] ERROR com.dummy.client.ServiceClient - java.net.SocketException: Can't connect to SOCKS proxy:Connection refused: connect

Download the jhipster-registry from the : jhipster-registry github repository move it wherever you want and add the read and write permission to it with this command:
chmod 755 jhipster-registry-<version>.jar
replace the version with the JAR file version that you download.
run the jar file with this command:
java -jar jhipster-registry-<version>.jar --spring.security.user.password=admin --jhipster.security.authentication.jwt.secret=my-secret-key-which-should-be-changed-in-production-and-be-base64-encoded --spring.cloud.config.server.composite.0.type=native --spring.cloud.config.server.composite.0.search-locations=file:./central-config
remember to replace the version with the version that you downloaded.
after running successfully you can run the microservice.
I am using Eureka Server for microservices, I have deployed microservices on VPS.
My server is having Centos 7. I am deploying each microservice on different screen but after some time microservice started getting killed automatically. When I check log file no error is there.
Just Eureka Server log file shows some error.
I am troubleshooting it from last 7 days but no success yet.
I have tried setting up Hikari connection timeout also make changes in various eureka configuration.
Here is my Eureka Server Log File

Often a process gets killed if it has exceeded a resource limitation. In particular, Java applications tend to grow in memory (due to possible leaks and other factors).
So that's the first thing to check... track & see if RAM used by your Spring Boot services is increasing over time, then depending on the memory profile some mitigations can be implemented (fixing code, allocating more memory to the VPS, spreading services across more instances, recycling instances after a period of time, etc.)
We have deployed runtimes in the app server which resides in a remote RHEL system.
We tried to connect to that mobilefirst server using ibm http server which has the default port as 8080. However, we are able to open the operations console from the ibm http server ip address, but the deployed runtimes are not visible.
Please guide us in resolving the issue.
Kindly help us in finding out the cause for the issue as well.
Thanks.

The error message you observe occurs when network calls from server to webserver is blocked out.
Management services - admin , runtime , management-ui etc communicate using REST calls and the network rules might be blocking it out.
Verify with your network team if connections outbound from the JVM is blocked.ie, if the JVM ( on which MFP server executes) were to originate an outbound connection to the webserver over non-SSL port, are the network rules set to block it out ? If so, enable it.
Try port 10080 - this is the default port for mobilefirst 7.1 server
I ve deployed an app on Heroku and I m trying to hook up an Amazon RDS add-on. I ve created an Amazon RDS instance and uploaded my Mysql database there.Then I followed all the steps described in the heroku documentation on how to connect to Amazon RDS, including auuthorization process.
https://devcenter.heroku.com//articles/amazon_rds
I have also set the Database URL on the Amazon RDS add-on. I am able to connect to my amazon instance from a mysql management tool ( so the credentials and the host address are correct)
When I run my app I get the following exception:
org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: Connection refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.

Anybody has an idea why this is happening? I have double checked that the credentials and the host address are the correct one
Well I finally figured out what was wrong.I initially created an Amazon RDS instance in Ireland (since I reside in Europe). However Heroku is not able to connect to Ireland instances (since apparently they reside in US and they are using EC instances in US). So I created another instance in US East(N. Virginia) and worked!!! I m not sure if it works also with the other Amazon sites at US West (Oregon,N.California).
