Error during composer create-project laravel/laravel myproject on Debian - laravel

I'm on Debian and my PHP version is 7.0.27.
First I began installing Composer using curl -sS https://getcomposer.org/installer | php and then sudo mv composer.phar /usr/local/composer (sudo because that's outside of my home directory). Then I typed composer and it executed correctly.
Then I launched my XAMPP Apache server and I went to the /opt/lampp/htdocs folder. There I typed the command sudo composer create-project laravel/laravel myproject (again, sudo because that's outside of my home directory, but it throwed an alert : "Do not run Composer as root/super user! See https://getcomposer.org/root for details").
But then I got this error :
Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages.
and it printed a bunch of problems.
What did I do wrong?
Thank you for your help.
EDIT1: I must specify that the myproject folder was created nonetheless, but when I got to http://localhost/myproject/public it printed a PHP error :
Warning: require(/opt/lampp/htdocs/myproject/public/../vendor/autoload.php): failed to open stream: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type in /opt/lampp/htdocs/myproject/public/index.php on line 24
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/opt/lampp/htdocs/myproject/public/../vendor/autoload.php' (include_path='.:/opt/lampp/lib/php') in /opt/lampp/htdocs/myproject/public/index.php on line 24

Laravel provides a list of what php extensions it requires for each version.
https://laravel.com/docs/5.6#server-requirements
Those are for the last version.
According to your error you are missing php-mbstring

Laravel Artisan not working at all after clone

I have this weird situation: I've cloned all my repositories from github in a new local machine running Mac OsX some of them has Laravel framework installed but only some of these can execute the cmd php artisan.
I've tried to check permission on folders, uninstall/re-install composer and I've also tried to install a fresh version of Laravel. Another problem is that running the command doesn't output anything - no errors, nothing - only a new empty line of the terminal.
The only thing I know is that if I clone one of the repositories, then run composer install it throws Script php artisan optimize handling the post-install-cmd event returned with error code 255.
Thanks
Update 1:
I've found running composer install -vvv -o that composer throw this error
Warning: require(/Users/USERNAME/laravel/bootstrap/autoload.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /Users/USERNAME/laravel/artisan on line 16
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/Users/USERNAME/laravel/bootstrap/autoload.php' (include_path='.:') in /Users/USERNAME/laravel/artisan on line 16
Update 2:
It seems that cmd git clone didn't copy that autoload file bootstrap/autoload.php for some reason that I don't understand at all.
I've imported the file manually from github and run, removed the vendor folder then run again composer install --no-scripts but still having the problem with artisan and if I run composer update it throw Script php artisan optimize handling the post-update-cmd event returned with error code 255
I had to re-install laravel and copy files manually to make it works again.

How to solve php artisan key generate error?

I created a new Laravel 5.5 project with this command:
laravel new crud-angular
After then, run this command inside the project folder:
php artisan key:generate
At that moment, I got such error:
Warning: require(F:\Study\Laravel\crud-angular/vendor/autoload.php):
failed to open stream: No such file or directory in
F:\Study\Laravel\crud-angular\artisan on line 18
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required
'F:\Study\Laravel\crud-angular/vendor/autoload.php'
(include_path='.;C:\php\pear') in
F:\Study\Laravel\crud-angular\artisan on line 18
I used wampserver 3.0.6 for this project.
Hope to help me.
Thanks
Make sure you have run:
composer install
Now it seems packages are not installed. If they are, try running:
composer dump-autoload
Try to to give permission for that vendor folder
sudo chmod -R 777 vendor
update your composer also
composer update
this will fix your issue
Most likely you forgot to Install composer just run composer install

Getting Error in installation of yii2 advance template

I'm new to Yii2, I'm trying to install yii2 application advanced template.
I did follow these steps:
1 - Download yii2-app-advanced zip file from https://github.com/yiisoft/yii2-app-advanced
Follow GETTING STARTED guide:
My vendor directory Show Empty.
Please help, thanks in advance
Installing via Composer
If you do not already have Composer installed, you may do so by following the instructions at getcomposer.org. On Linux and Mac OS X, you'll run the following commands:
curl -sS https://getcomposer.org/installer | php
mv composer.phar /usr/local/bin/composer
On Windows, you'll download and run Composer-Setup.exe.
Please refer to the Composer Documentation if you encounter any problems or want to learn more about Composer usage.
If you had Composer already installed before, make sure you use an up to date version. You can update Composer by running composer self-update.
With Composer installed, you can install Yii by running the following commands under a Web-accessible folder:
composer global require "fxp/composer-asset-plugin:~1.0.3"
composer create-project --prefer-dist yiisoft/yii2-app-advanced basic
The first command installs the composer asset plugin which allows managing bower and npm package dependencies through Composer. You only need to run this command once for all. The second command installs Yii in a directory named basic. You can choose a different directory name if you want.
Note: During the installation Composer may ask for your Github login credentials. This is normal because Composer needs to get enough API rate-limit to retrieve the dependent package information from Github. For more details, please refer to the Composer documentation.
composer create-project --prefer-dist --stability=dev yiisoft/yii2-app-advanced basic
Yii2 Installation Following command:
(1) First install Composer (LINUX):
Locally:
curl -sS https://getcomposer.org/installer | php
OR
(1) First install Composer (WINDOWS):
C:\Users\username>cd C:\bin
C:\bin>php -r "readfile('https://getcomposer.org/installer');" | php
Note: If the above fails due to readfile, use the http url or enable php_openssl.dll in php.ini
C:\bin>echo #php "%~dp0composer.phar" %>composer.bat*
C:\Users\username>composer -V
Composer version 27d8904
(2) Yii2 framework online downloads:
Basic App:
php composer.phar create-project yiisoft/yii2-app-basic basic 2.0.0-beta
Advanced App:
php composer.phar create-project yiisoft/yii2-app-advanced advanced 2.0.0-beta
(3) Other App Settings Command:
php init
php yii migrate
Refrence
use composer cos you need composer in future too!
and after unzip the advance project in www or htdocs you should navigate to your project with cmd or terminal and type yii migrate after that again type composer update

creating new laravel application on mac by laravel installer

I have been strugling to create an application with laravel installer from terminal.
I have globally installed composer and laravel..
however i constantly get this error:
If you check at the bottom of the screenshot you can see -bash: new: command not found however laravel command is being executed perfectly. My osx version is 10.10.2. Macbook pro.
Any help will be appreciated.
Another question (bit out of the topic)
Is git inbuild in mac osx?
Cuz i hadn't installed it but it shows all of its commands.
Regards,
=======================
I created alias for composer and laravel in .bash_profile and .bashrc and it worked however now I'm getting this error :
Prajwols-MacBook-Pro:htdocs prajwol$ laravel new test
Crafting application...
Warning: ZipArchive::extractTo(): Invalid or unitialized Zip object in /Users/prajwol/.composer/vendor/laravel/installer/src/NewCommand.php on line 99
Warning: ZipArchive::close(): Invalid or unitialized Zip object in /Users/prajwol/.composer/vendor/laravel/installer/src/NewCommand.php on line 101
Application ready! Build something amazing.
Result : An empty folder is created called test in destination folder.
The command needs a project name: laravel new <NAME>. Like laravel new blog. This will create a new laravel project in a new blog directory in the current path.
$ brew tap homebrew/homebrew-php
$ brew install php72
Install composer
$ php -r "copy('https://getcomposer.org/installer', 'composer-setup.php');"
$ php composer-setup.php --install-dir=/usr/local/bin --filename=composer
Install Laravel
$ composer global require "laravel/installer"
$ composer global -vvv require "laravel/installer"
now run command
composer
