I have a spring boot application with Spring websocket dependency. The app runs fine over my Intellij IDE but when deploying over TC server, it fails to starts the application.
I do have tomcat server dependency as provided and app extends SpringBootServletInializer.
Here are my classes
Main Class

#Override
protected SpringApplicationBuilder configure(SpringApplicationBuilder application) {
return application.sources(Application.class);
}
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(Application.class, args);
}
}
Greeting Controller

System.out.println("Received at controller level" + message.getName());
//Thread.sleep(1000); // simulated delay
return new Greeting("Hello, " + message.getName() + "!");
}
}
One of the Rest controller

I was able to resolve the issue by excluding "WebMvcAutoConfiguration.class" from starter class of the application.
#SpringBootApplication(exclude = WebMvcAutoConfiguration.class)
The code works fine with websocket now. I am able to receive responses from the websocket server.

To be honest, this was already happening to me since I started to build de app, but after re-running the app the error seemed to disappear and everything went well. However, since I did some minor modifications in my code I cannot run the app anymore... Could you please tell me what do you think is generating this error? As you will see, my classes are super simple and I think everything is being done properly. Thanks for your time.

Edit: I have found out that if I comment all the 'FolderRepository' stuff within the InboxApp, then the same error will be thrown but referring to the next #Autowired repository (in my case 'emailListItemRepository')
The sample app code you posted contains this line at the top:
import org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.cass`enter code here`andra.CqlSessionBuilderCustomizer;
Notice it contains enter code here instead of just cassandra.
If your code really contains that line, it might be the reason your app can't create a CqlSession.
Validate your code and try to compile it again. Cheers!
I deployed spring boot api in tomcat8 it is not working but my in embedded tomcat it works can any one help me to solve this

i tried it in tomcat 9 and 8 but not working how can i solve this problem and i am using token based authentication this is a spring boot api and i am using #Autowired
Have you tried to understand your exception? It clearly explains the bean creation flow for your particular config and this seems the root:
nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/JAXBException
Make sure you have required jar for JAXB in class path, you can print class path using --debug option or extract jar and confirm.
I am trying to implement Spatials in my Java Spring Boot Web Application with MySQL.
Currently I use the following dialect:
properties.setProperty("hibernate.dialect", "org.hibernate.dialect.MySQL5Dialect");
As soon as I change to
properties.setProperty("hibernate.dialect", "org.hibernate.dialect.MySQL5SpatialDialect");
I get the following error regarding sessionFactory:
Error starting ApplicationContext. To display the auto-configuration report re-run your application with 'debug' enabled.
2017-09-18 01:27:34.796 ERROR 10371 --- [ restartedMain] o.s.boot.SpringApplication : Application startup failed

I really unsure about why changing the dialect results in this error. I would be really thankful if someone would point me in the correct direction.
Cheers Maik
According to the spatial documentation and source code:
Correct package is org.hibernate.spatial.dialect.mysql.MySQL5SpatialDialect and not org.hibernate.dialect.MySQL5SpatialDialect
So i think this should work:
properties.setProperty("hibernate.dialect", "org.hibernate.spatial.dialect.mysql.MySQL5SpatialDialect");
I'm doing an application to convert a video to .gif.
The main question is that I try solve the "MaxUploadSizeExceededException", so I added the following properties in applicaiton.properties file:
spring.http.multipart.location=${java.io.tmpdir}
spring.http.multipart.max-file-size=50MB
spring.http.multipart.max-request-size=50MB
I got exception like this:

But when I use Spring 1.3.0.RELEASE and use the following application.properties, it works just fine:
multipart.location=${java.io.tmpdir}
multipart.max-file-size=50MB
multipart.max-request-size=50MB
The main difference is the application.properties file but I have no idea why it didn't work.
I'm new to Spring framework and it took me almost a whole day to solve this. Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated!

How about changing your code to this?
#Value("${spring.http.multipart.location}")
private String location;
Why do you think Spring can magically find a property with the key multipart.location when you've declared it as spring.http.multipart.location in your .properties file?
i have this application startup class which implements application listener :
package com.test;
import org.springframework.beans.factory.annotation.Autowired;
import org.springframework.context.ApplicationListener;
import org.springframework.context.event.ContextRefreshedEvent;
import org.springframework.stereotype.Component;
import org.springframework.transaction.annotation.EnableTransactionManagement;
import com.test.service.neo.InitializationService;
#Component
#EnableTransactionManagement
public class ApplicationStartup implements ApplicationListener<ContextRefreshedEvent> {
#Autowired
private InitializationService initializationService;
#Override
public void onApplicationEvent(final ContextRefreshedEvent event) {
initializationService.initMasterData();
return;
}
}
This is the service class :
package com.test.service.neo;
public interface InitializationService {
void initMasterData();
void initCategory();
}
This is the service implement class:
package com.test.service.neo;
import org.springframework.beans.factory.annotation.Autowired;
import org.springframework.stereotype.Service;
import org.springframework.transaction.annotation.Transactional;
import com.test.model.neo.Category;
import com.test.repository.neo.CategoryRepository;
#Service
#Transactional
public class InitializationServiceImpl implements InitializationService {
#Autowired
CategoryRepository categoryRepository;
private String[][] categoryList = {
{ "Side Dish" },
{ "Main Dish" },
{ "Dessert" }
};
#Override
public void initMasterData() {
initCategory();
}
#Override
#Transactional
public void initCategory() {
for (String[] categoryName : categoryList) {
Category existCategory = categoryRepository.findByName(categoryName[0]);
if(existCategory == null) {
existCategory = new Category(categoryName[0]);
categoryRepository.save(existCategory);
}
}
}
}

When i run this code i get this error :
Error creating bean with name 'scopedTarget.getSession': Scope 'session' is not active for the current thread; consider defining a scoped proxy for this bean if you intend to refer to it from a singleton; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: No thread-bound request found: Are you referring to request attributes outside of an actual web request, or processing a request outside of the originally receiving thread? If you are actually operating within a web request and still receive this message, your code is probably running outside of DispatcherServlet/DispatcherPortlet: In this case, use RequestContextListener or RequestContextFilter to expose the current request.
How to fix this issue? because it runs perfectly on spring 4.2.6
Here's my pom for spring 4.2.6:
