i am trying to sniff a pcap file using snort rules (windows 10 command line)

but it gives me an error

I had the same problem as you and I had solved it.
You should append configuration file path to -c option, instead of *.rules file. It will include your rule sets in it.
PS: You'd better follow the steps in snort.conf, Step #7 will give you some advice.

I'm providing full docker environments for a team of developers, comprising Wildfly, MySQL and Apache primarily.
I preconfigure all images according to production and a developer has now requested one more option: to be able to use intellij to debug a running wildfly slave.
The setup:
I set up a virtual machine to host docker as people use different OS'.

By placing the value in the JAVA_OPTS environment variable it will be used for both the process controller and the host controller. You're seeing the error because the host controller already has a debug agent listening on port 8787 when the process controller tries to bind to it.
My guess would be you want to actually debug your application on the servers. If that is the case in your host-slave.xml you'd need to add something like the following to a specific server.

How to make it work?
By default consul only listens for DNS connections on the instance loopback device. Best practices asks you to install the client on any remote machine looking to consume consul DNS. This is not always practical.
I have seen people expose DNS (consul port 8600) on all interfaces via the Consul configuration JSON like so:

I have a ruby script that uploads a file via FTP.
I tested this with a LINUX server and the upload was working well.
But when I changed the upload destination to the production server which is a Windows Server 2012 R2 running IIS, I got the following error message:
A Connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. - connect<2> <Errno::ETIMEDOUT>

I am assuming there is no problem in the script, since it was working fine with a different server. What I am assuming it is, is a difference in how IIS' FTP server handles/responds to connections vs how vsftpd handles them.
Any suggestions to how to fix this?
I set passive to false and that solved my problem.
