I have been working on a project for a while now... in Flash Builder. It's now complete; only to find that I can not secure the services. I can't seem to be able to make a https connection...
Is it true? There is no https service provider? It would seem a lot of work down the drain... I could not conceive that there would not be an https connection available.. I have been testing with http so far.
If there is no https I find it unbelievable... such a large framework and no security...
Does anyone know something related to the topic?

I am trying to build a system using Socket.io and YARP. Yarp is functioning has a Reverse Proxy to all my Services.
When trying establish a connection to my socket.io service, through yarp, I am getting connection_error:
I noticed there are proper configurations used in other Reversed Proxy solutions that are well documented in Socket.io website:

However, I can't "translate" what they are doing to YARP. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I checked in postman the request that was being made through my Yarp Server and turns out it wasn't even hitting the correct path. For yarp to connect to a socket.io server you have to use this kind of path in your configuration file:
It seems that a sokcetio request uses it's own path, so you have to make your reverse proxy match the beggining "socket.io/"
I have recently been sharing the connection of my mobile device to my laptop, when i'm out and about, through the use of an app called netshare. It provides a https proxy I believe through which it acts as a network repeater?(not sure about this part). I can access webpages and such quite easily. However, I have realised that I cannot connect to some apps. For example, I cannot use spotify. Installing some other apps like games etc also prove to fail. I have done a bit of research and found that apparently I could only surf the web with a https proxy. However, I found this to be unambiguous. Does this mean that I can only make https requests? Or is this because of https using TCP over UDP? What are the limitations and what can I do to possibly solve it?

there doesn't seem to exist any configuration that enables HTTPS only access to neo4j databases.
I've tried disabling the HTTP connectors but neo4j needs at least one HTTP connector otherwise it wouldn't start the service at all.
I found that commenting out the HTTP connector would let the neo4j service start but triggers an error in all browsers except chrome that wouldn't let you connect to the database.
As far as my research has brought me. There is no neo4j-only solution to this problem at the moment.
From what I've read and found out there might be several possibilities like limiting http access to port 7474 from outside of your network and redirecting http to https.
I was not able to test them personally but it seems that there's no different way to do this.
For now http has to be enabled and configured for https to work.
I am trying to integrate Firebase with my Cocos2d-JS application. Unfortunately, Cocos2d-JS does not support secure websockets, so I am trying to connect to Firebase using the WS protocol. Firebase is returning a 404 when I try this. Is it possible to enable the unsecured websocket endpoint with Firebase? It would be great to use this while developing, and then work on getting secure websockets working once the game is finished. The game is just for a uni project, so security is not a major concern.
Per #Kato's comment, this is not currently possible. You must use SSL.
If this is something you need, please make a Cocos2d-JS feature request or a Firebase feature request.
I'm trying to develop an extension that detects every connection made by the browser to figure out the URLs being accessed. I know that this is possible via writing an HTTP/SOCKS proxy and configuring the browser to flow traffic via that. However, that's kind of overkill for the application that I'm trying to develop and it's best done as a Firefox Add-on if that's possible. Any clues/pointers would be highly appreciated.
Use nsIHttpActivityDistributor and there is many information about the http transaction and socket transport through observeActivity callback.
