I'm trying to login to an Intellij Upsource server using the Upsource Integration plugin.
After configuring the Upsource URL an clicking on "Test connection" the browser is opened and I'm prompted to login to the Upsource server. This fails with a "Connection refused" error in my browser.
I can see in the Intellij log file that there is a connection attempt to my computer on the port 3100:

They MacOS firewall is enabled, but shows no blocked attempts. IntelliJ is configured to allow incoming connections.
The problem was the MacOS network proxy settings (since the computer was configured to use a proxy for HTTP & HTTPS) - after adding localhost to the list of Hosts & Domains that should be bypassed, the authentication works.

I have configured SOCKS5 proxy server in AWS with dante and it runs fine.
when I try the following command in CMD

it works,
But when I configure my LAN proxy configs, it can't access to the internet via any browser.
for CURL proxy server works but for browsers it doesn't.
please help.
The reason for this is, I have enabled the user authentication in the server. Unlikely in HTTP proxy servers, there is no signin popup in socks5. This was fixed after I added the username and password.
When I run a server from my WSL environment, the browser or postman installed in Windows is unable to hit it. Chrome responds with localhost refused to connect but if I were to curl localhost:3000 from the linux command line it succeeds.
I tried adding a rule to allow tcp connections to localhost: in the windows defender firewall with advanced security app:
What is more perplexing is that this only happens occasionally! If I restart and restart the server, it seems okay... or not. I've tried a couple server-running applications to confirm that this isn't just an issue with the code that I am trying to run.
I have a Linux VM running with a Jenkins, Nexus and SonarQube server on it. The IP for the VM is 192.168.56.2 and I have no trouble accessing both Jenkins and Nexus on ports 8080 and 8081 respectively. However, when I try to access 192.168.56.2:9000 for SonarQube it just says 192.168.56.2 refused to connect.
When I run systemctl status sonar in the terminal it shows that SonarQube is active and running. I have opened the firewall to port 9000 and I have not changed any of the default settings. Does anyone have any idea what might be the issue?
SonarQube will only be listening on 'loopback' rather than on all inbound IP addresses. In your server's sonar.properties file, you'll need to set the Web information in order to access the server remotely, specifically the following values:
sonar.web.host: 192.168.56.2
sonar.web.port: 80 # if you want to use a port other than 9000
Also, in the web UI's Settings, under the "General" section, set the "Server base URL" value so that links and redirects issued by SonarQube target the correct location.
I'm new to Windows Azure Server configurations, and I'm trying to configure the FTP Connection. But when I access the Server with FileZilla it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong here?
I'm using IIS with FTP Server Roles installed.

Here the endpoints have being configured from the Azure Portal.
This is how I published the FTP Site
Configured the FTP Firewall Support with the Azure Server Public IP
And enabled the firewall outbound and inbound rules..
After completing all the steps, I restarted the Microsoft FTP Service, but the problem still exists.
For now, we can't configure a active mode FTP on Azure VM. we should configure data channel port range in FTP Firewall Support, FTP work in passive mode. For example, we can use 10000-10010 ports as the data channel port range. Also, we should add ports to VM's endpoints and add then to VM's firewall inbound rules.
By the way, although the windows firewall seems to allow all traffic that’s required, we also need to enable stateful FTP filtering on the firewall:
netsh advfirewall set global StatefulFtp enable
Then restart the FTP windows service and we should be up and running:
net stop ftpsvc
net start ftpsvc

I just start learning JMeter. I'm trying to use JMeter to record my company websites, .NET web application.
My issue is that: For security, to access the websites, we have to config "Manual proxy configuration" to 10.x.x.x:3128. However, to record in JMeter I have to change the config to localhost, port 3128.
After I changed the config to localhost, I click Start button of HTTP Test Script Recorder then I click on any link, the Authorization dialog displays and I keep getting 401 unauthorized error although I enter correct username/password.
I tried to use HTTP Authorization Manager, HTTP Request Defaults or HTTP Request but they do not work.
Could anyone help me out?
If your company uses proxy for Internet access you can "tell" JMeter to use this proxy as well. So you need to perform the following configuration:
