Build project with external dependencies in folder lib with JavaFX and Maven - maven

I am trying to build a project with dependencies external to the main .jar, using javafx and maven. The project is created with netbeans and I am using the basic configuration of the pom.xml file which is:
<properties>
<project.build.sourceEncoding>UTF-8</project.build.sourceEncoding>
<mainClass>org.main.Main</mainClass>
</properties>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.codehaus.plexus</groupId>
<artifactId>plexus-utils</artifactId>
<version>3.1.0</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.6</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>unpack-dependencies</id>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>unpack-dependencies</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<excludeScope>system</excludeScope>
<excludeGroupIds>junit,org.mockito,org.hamcrest</excludeGroupIds>
<outputDirectory>${project.build.directory}/classes</outputDirectory>
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>exec-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.2.1</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>unpack-dependencies</id>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>exec</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<executable>${java.home}/../bin/javafxpackager</executable>
<arguments>
<argument>-createjar</argument>
<argument>-nocss2bin</argument>
<argument>-appclass</argument>
<argument>${mainClass}</argument>
<argument>-srcdir</argument>
<argument>${project.build.directory}/classes</argument>
<argument>-outdir</argument>

</arguments>
</configuration>
</execution>
<execution>

<goals>
<goal>exec</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<executable>${java.home}/bin/java</executable>
<commandlineArgs>${runfx.args}</commandlineArgs>
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.1</version>
<configuration>
<source>1.8</source>
<target>1.8</target>
<compilerArguments>
<bootclasspath>${sun.boot.class.path}${path.separator}${java.home}/lib/jfxrt.jar</bootclasspath>

</configuration>
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.16</version>
<configuration>
<additionalClasspathElements>
<additionalClasspathElement>${java.home}/lib/jfxrt.jar</additionalClasspathElement>
</additionalClasspathElements>
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
With this configuration I can build the project and it works, but the dependencies are compiled within the project and I need the dependencies to be in a folder external to the .jar. A folder called lib.
Searching on the internet I found this configuration:
<properties>
<project.build.sourceEncoding>UTF-8</project.build.sourceEncoding>
<mainClass>org.main.Main</mainClass>
</properties>
<dependencies>
<dependency>

</configuration>

</executions>

<plugin>

<artifactId>exec-maven-plugin</artifactId>

<arguments>

<argument>${mainClass}</argument>
<argument>-srcdir</argument>
<argument>${project.build.directory}/classes</argument>
<argument>-outdir</argument>
<argument>${project.build.directory}</argument>

<configuration>
<executable>${java.home}/bin/java</executable>
<commandlineArgs>${runfx.args}</commandlineArgs>
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
When I build the project the lib folder is generated and inside the dependencies but when the application makes a call internally to some class of the dependencies it throws the following exceptions:

These exceptions are with the codehaus plexus dependency but it happens with any dependency that I put, it does not matter if it is a dependency made by me or by others.
From what I understand, the classes are not found and I do not know why.
How should the configuration of the pom.xml be in order to have the
dependencies in .jar in an external folder?
Thank you!

Well, in the end I found a possible solution. Adding this code to the first pom.xml file:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.6.1</version>
<configuration>
<source>1.8</source>
<target>1.8</target>
<showDeprecation>true</showDeprecation>
<compilerArgument>-Xlint:unchecked</compilerArgument>
</configuration>
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>com.zenjava</groupId>
<artifactId>javafx-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>8.8.3</version>
<configuration>
<mainClass>org.main.MainApp</mainClass>
<verbose>true</verbose>
</configuration>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>create-jfxjar</id>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>build-jar</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
I managed to build the application with the dependencies separately and without throwing away the exceptions I showed.

After the packaging, I carried out the JAR file and got the following error message:

The content of the App.kt file looks as the follwing:
package com.sweetsoft
fun main(args : Array<String>) {
println("Hello, world!")
}
The kotlin.jvm.internal.Intrinsics class is the crucial part of the Kotlin runtime, which is included in the Kotlin standard library kotlin-stdlib. Your exception means that there's a call from your compiled code to the Kotlin runtime, and the standard library is not on the runtime classpath.
To fix this, you can run the program by providing the classpath of multiple JARs via -cp:
java -cp kotlin-stdlib.jar -jar simplekotlin-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
(replace kotlin-stdlib.jar with the actual path to the Kotlin standard library JAR)

Error COBERTURA in SONAR

THere are some posts in regards to Sonar/Cobertura but my issue is specific to an error in corbertura plugin. Given below is the error I am getting. I suspect a corbertura library error. Not sure if that is what it is. Any help is appreciated.

I think its because some of the arguments sent to exec-maven-plugin contains spaces.
In your case it looks like ${project.build.directory} or some other variable resolves to C:\Documents and Settings\something.
When you are passing this:
<argument>-srcdir</argument>
<argument>${project.build.directory}/classes</argument>
It will resolve to: -srcdir=C:\Documents and Settings\something/classes.
When it should have been something like: -srcdir="C:\Documents and Settings\something/classes" with "".
In your exec-plugin configuration, put "" around all your properties <argument> tags (the ones that contain $ in them)
like this
<arguments>
<argument>-createjar</argument>
<argument>-nocss2bin</argument>
<argument>-appclass</argument>
<argument>"${mainClass}"</argument>
....
</arguments>
