org.eclipse.jgit.errors.RepositoryNotFoundException - gradle

I wanted to build rapidminer-studio-master, so I download the source code from github:https://github.com/rapidminer/rapidminer-studio
According to the README.md file, I import the project into IDEA, then execute the command gradlew jar, but the error is:
* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':generateGitRevFile'.
> org.eclipse.jgit.errors.RepositoryNotFoundException: repository not found:
E:\lyh\file\workspaces\rapidminerworkspace\rapidminer-studio-master
Then I open the file props.gradle,it shows that:
So the file has obviously added a corresponding dependency. Why is it still failing to load?

actually it looks a bit strange that git is looking for a repo in your local file system.
Did you use git clone to download the repository? If not try this and see if it helps.

Gradle Could not expand ZIP: is not a ZIP archive

I am trying to unzip an archive file in my Gradle build script.
The archive file exists, and I have checked that it is indeed a zip file by running
file myfile.zip
However, build fails with the following error:
Could not expand ZIP '/.../file.zip': is not a ZIP archive
For Windows:
Please delete the package of the zip file and clean gradle. It will resolve.
One reason this can happen is if the file is damaged or corrupted.
The way to check that is to try manually unzipping the file.
For me, the problem was semi-unrelated. My build directory was owned by root and I was running as a user that did not have permissions to write there. I ended up deleting the dir and the next gradle build handled it.
Yes.. it was due to permission on that file.
For windows:
Give the permission including parent folder as same administrator.
Try it to do it again.
If still not work, delete the zip file and let them create again after 1st step. It will resolve.
I got same error, and after running ./gradlew build --stacktrace found out that resources folder contained Flyway migration file with name "V1.1.98__documents..sql" (double dot). Apparently this caused problems with zipping. Was typo of course.

Modifying an imported library in Go

My Problem
Elastic Beats is an open source project for log shippers written in Go. It features several log outputs, including console, Elasticsearch and Redis. I would like to add an output of my own - to AWS Kinesis.
I have cloned the repo to ~/github/beats, and tried building it:
$ cd filebeat; go build main.go
However, it failed due to a missing library which is a part of the project:
main.go:6:2: cannot find package "github.com/elastic/beats/filebeat/cmd" in any of:
/usr/local/go/src/github.com/elastic/beats/filebeat/cmd (from $GOROOT)
/Users/adam/go/src/github.com/elastic/beats/filebeat/cmd (from $GOPATH)
A directory of the project is dependent on a package from the same repo, but instead of looking one directory up the hierarchy it looks in the GOPATH.
So, go get github.com/elastic/beats/filebeat/cmd fetched the code, and now go build main.go works. Changing the code in my GOPATH is reflected in these builds.
This leaves me with an structural inconvenience. Some of my code is at a working directory, and some of it is at my GOPATH and included by the code in my working directory.
I would like to have all my code in a single directory for various reasons, not the least being keeping everything under version control.
What Have I Tried
Mostly searching for the problem. I am quite new to Go, so I might have missed the correct terminology.
My Question
What is the right way to edit the code of an imported library in Go?
One of the recommended ways to work with other's packages is:
Get the sources of the original package:
go get github.com/elastic/beats
As a result you will clone project's git repository to the folder
$GOPATH/src/github.com/elastic/beats
Make some fixes, compile code, fix, compile... When you make go install package will be compiled and installed to your system. When you need merge updates from original repository you can git pull them.
Everything is OK. What's next? How to share your work with others?
Fork project on github, suppose it will be github.com/username/beats
Add this fork as another remote mycopy (or any other name you like) to your local repository
git remote add mycopy git://github.com/username/beats.git
When all is done you can push updated sources to your repo on github
git push mycopy
and then open a pull-request to original sources. This way you can share your work with others. And keep your changes in sync with mainstream.
Previous answers to this question are obsolete when developing projects that using Go Modules.
For projects that using Go Modules, one may use the following command to replace an imported library(eg. example.com/imported/module) with a local module(eg. ./local/module):
go mod edit -replace=example.com/imported/module=./local/module
Or by adding the following line into the go.mod file:
replace example.com/imported/module => ./local/module

A project working copy should be checked out into $GOPATH/src/package/import/path - for example, this project should be checked out into /Users/adam/go/src/github.com/elastic/beats. With the project in the correct location, the go tooling will be able to operate on it normally; otherwise, it will not be able to resolve imports correctly. See go help gopath for more info.

How to resolve "test-life cycle-and-artifact Handler1.pom.sha1 " cannot creat on maven installiton

I need your help.
I downloaded maven 3-5-0-src.zip file from maven site. I started to unzip process after a few seconds I got an this error.
Error: System doesn't find this path.
Cannot create
C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp\wz85b2\apache-maven-3.5.0\maven-core\src\test\resources\org\apache\maven\extension\test-extension-repo\org\apache\maven\core\test\test-lifecycle-and-artifactHandler\1\test-lifecycle-and-artifactHandler-1.pom.sha1.
I can't install maven on my computer. How can solve this?
The ...-src.zip file only contains the source files for your reference.
You need to download and install the binary zip file at apache-maven-3.5.0-bin.zip if you're planning to use maven to build stuff.
Otherwise, the above error looks suspiciously like a Windows path length problem.

Build Error while building aperturejs

I am trying to build aperturejs with Readme.md instructions.
I cloned the repository and tried the command mvn clean install in the root directory of ApertureJs.
I got the following Build Error as in the screenshot,
I am using the latest version of Maven - 3.3.9

By reading the error in your console, I could feel that you are not authorized to access the particular repository, which is shown in your console.
Copy the repository url and try it from a browser - hope you will not be able to access the repository, since you are not authorized.
Raise appropriate access and after getting access, then try mvn clean install.
Below is the Quick fix till the time you get the access:
Copy and Paste the respective jar/pom/folder from your colleague machine, in your .m2/repository/...
Run the mvn clean install with -o option so that it will look into your local repository for building your application
Thank you. The issue is solved. I posted this issue to Uncharted Software's Salt Repository and exactly like Clement Said, I was trying to access a repository that no more has access publicly. Therefore they gave a workaround.

gradle build causing error :startScripts Failed

I am following the step-by-step instructions provided in http://spring.io/guides/gs/consuming-web-service/#scratch to learn how to consume a SOAP web service using Gradle and Spring-WS. I have created the folder structure specified in the above URL (namely., c:/src/main/java/hello) and copied the source code for build.gradle, WeatherClient.java, WeatherConfiguration.java and Application.java into this directory structure. When I execute the command "gradle build" in c:\src\main\java\hello, I am getting the following error:
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
A problem was found with the configuration of task ':startScripts'.
No value has been specified for property 'mainClassName'.
Following a suggestion I found in one of the Q&A in stackoverflow, I included mainClassName = '' at the end of the build.gradle file. The above error was overcome, but I do not find the "gs-consuming-web-service.jar" file in the C:\src\main\java\hello\build\libs folder as suggested by the instructions. Rather, I find a jar file named "hello.jar" in this folder.
And if I try to execute the hello.jar executable, I get a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException.
Has anyone tried to follow the instructions given in the URL: http://spring.io/guides/gs/consuming-web-service/#scratch with success? If yes, can you please advise where I have gone wrong?
I was able to get the demo project work by following the steps:
Create a folder named gs-consuming-web-service and in it, create a file named build.gradle with the source code provided in http://spring.io/guides/gs/consuming-web-service/#scratch. Add an extra dependency (the one that is highlighted below) in this build.gradle file at the location below:

Create the directory structure ...gs-consuming-web-service/src/main/java/hello and in the hello folder, create the java files for WeatherClient.java, WeatherConfiguration.java and Application.java using the source code in http://spring.io/guides/gs/consuming-web-service/#scratch.
Launch InteliJ IDE and select the import project option. In the ensuing screen/step, select the build.gradle file in gs-consuming-web-service folder. Select check-boxes "Use auto-import" and "Create directories for empty content roots automatically". In this screen, make sure that the Gradle home, Gradle JVM are pre-populated correctly (in my case, these have been pre-populated with the path to Gradle-2.8 and JDK 1.8 respectively). Click OK.
At command prompt window, while within the gs-consuming-web-service folder, execute the command "gradle build".
This should get you to a successful gradle build. Good luck and happy learning.
