QTP/UFT - Collapse All Functions - vbscript

I have in my one qfl file about 14 functions that I call to my action. But generally when I open the solution file ever morning and navigate to the function file, all the functions are expanded again.
Then I need to click on every single function to collapse it - I do this because it helps navigate through the file quicker because there is now only one line of code for each function to scroll through instead of scrolling through every line inside the function ONLY to go past it.
Yes, I am aware that this doesn't even take a minute to do, but I am trying to be efficient and as a programmer in general, I'm just lazy and don't want to repeat this everyday.
I cannot seem to find a solution anywhere for this.
Is it possible to create a button or shortcut key that can do this?
If I have posted this in the wrong place, please advise where to post it. :)

Nativescript - Add to favorites/featured

I´m in that point on my app where i need to give the user the ability to save to favorites. To be more specific, let´s say that he´s seeing a list-view and then presses one of the listitems which takes him to the detail of that item...here i have a star icon that when pressed it should save that item and then if he navigates to the favorites page, he will see another listview with all of the favorites.
but i´m stuck on how to accomplish this, the only thing that comes to my mind is the application settings...it should be a dynamic array that always exists and then keeps adding or deleting objects(favorites).
Any thougts on this? can anyone suggest me an approach? maybe a better one?
Regards
You may use the nativescript-localstorage plugin which internally uses file system only and takes care of reading / updating JSON file as needed.

Is there a way to finalize all animations on a powerpoint slide?

Quite often when showing a slide deck in PowerPoint, there is not time enough to show all animations on each slide. Is there a way to show all animations in their final state? I have googled without any success, so my final hope is that someone has done a VB script for this. (Or even better - if there is built-in functionality for this that I have not found...)
Note: I do not want to skip to next slide, just show the slide as it would be shown right before stepping to next slide.
What I do with my presenteations is I use the clicks or spaces or whatever to make each animation/next move happen, so if you can use that as a feature maybe it will help.
I simply press the button many times and the animations start and end quickly for the next one to take place.

Matlab GUI Attempt to reference field of non-structure array

I have a GUI menu on Matlab with 4 buttons (menu.fig). Then I have 4 .fig file that I want to open when I click on the buttons. Here it's all ok, when I open a .fig from menu and insert value to do a plot I get this error:
???? Attempt to reference field of non-structure array.
If I try to open 1.fig directly, everything works perfectly.
I read that the problem is with eval(), but I can't solve it.
I changed the variable names on each .fig file
One 1.fig:
function pbutton1_Callback(hObject, eventdata, handles)
A1=get(handles.edtSAmp,'String');
f1=get(handles.edtSFreq, 'String');
fi1=get(handles.edtSFase, 'String');
t1=get(handles.popTipo, 'Value');
A1=str2double(A1);
f1=str2double(f1);
fi=str2double(fi1);
SinalSinusoidal(A1,f1,fi,t1);
I got the error on the that 1st line.
I guess this is something MATLAB GUI not handled well. I know it used to work, but when you tweaking your UI or UI related code a bit and accidentally you modified some area MATLAB told you not to touch, this kind of issue begin to happen.
The workaournd is to start the GUI from M editor by clicking run
I know it works, but originally, when I directly lauch it , it works too. so, this is not the end of it, people are just not getting to the end of it.
The problem is with probably with handles1. It's not a structure array like you expect it to be. In GUI's created with GUIDE, this variable is usually called handles, if you have both handles and handles1 make sure handles1 contains handles to the objects in the figure. If you're using handles1 only, make sure you're initializing it properly.

Excel VBA - Is there a TextChanging / TextChanged or a similar event? Or how to move a selection without using Enter?

I have recently been asked if I could make a macro in Excel VBA that will allow a user to type in two numbers and have it automatically drop to the next row. The purpose of this is so they can type in grades for a test two numbers at a time without pressing enter since they aren't great at typing.
When I first heard this he mentioned it was Visual Basic, so I figured I'd just use a TextChanging or TextChanged event in the cell range and have it work off that. However, I haven't been able to find any such event or anything resembling it in the documentation thus far. The first thing that I came across was Workbook_Change, but that only changes after you press enter which is useless to me. Someone else mentioned there is such an event, but couldn't name it directly and I haven't been able to find what they were talking about.
If anyone has any information on if such an event exists or is possible I'd love to know.
The Excel version is 2007 as far as I'm aware.
This, in my opinion, requires a non-programming solution. I absolutely sympathize - it is tough to watch people get old - but you have to draw the line somewhere - for their sake and yours. The enter key is the most basic part of a computer. You could probably write a macro that would automatically hit enter on every even(or odd depending) keystroke in excel - but you're going to run into other problems like not being able to use delete normally. And what if you do want to put a string of text in a cell(like the student's name)? Perhaps it is time to find a non-programming solution. By that I mean someone should have a candid conversation with him about how he wants to solve the problem. Personally, I would offer to type the numbers in for him, as I am accustomed to the number pad - but it is probably better to be more direct and start to discuss retirement.
See this discussion about the limitations of cell edit mode in excel:
http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-questions/524860-call-macro-every-keystroke.html
If you're really heart-set on a programming solution, I would recommend some kind of keystroke logging add-in.
Good Luck.
You could use the Worksheet_SelectionChange event. It is triggered without enter, but it would be triggered a lot.
You could however also create a special user-form for typing in the data, but this might be more work than necessary.
The main problem with using my suggested event is, you will need it as trigger and trigger it yourself, when selecting the next row, so disable event handling before changing the selection.
Edit:
This is a quick solution (paste this into the vba-code of the desired worksheet):
Private Const clngColumnRightToLastGrade = 5
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Column = clngColumnRightToLastGrade Then
Application.EnableEvents = False
'offset selection, one row down, two cols to left
Target.Offset(1, -2).Select
Application.EnableEvents = True
End If
End Sub
This will set you one row down and to column C, everytime your selection changes to column E (=5).
You don't have to use a constant of course, you could specify the column to sense in the workbook, so your user might modify it easier by himself.
To make this as an optional feature, you could extend it to autogenerated code. What I have in mind is like a Ribbon-Button, which opens a setupForm to configure, and a Ribbon-Button to activate the configuration, which would place this code in the configured sheet. But this might be a bit over the top.
In Excel 2003, (may be different in Excel2007 ?!) the WorkSheet_Change event is triggered every time the value of a cell is changed wether it is by pressing enter, delete, selecting an other cell after modifying a cell or even when a vba script changes the value of a cell.
I would do something like that:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Dim RefRange As Range
Set RefRange = Intersect(ActiveSheet.Columns("??????????"), ActiveSheet.UsedRange)
If Not Intersect(Target, RefRange) Is Nothing Then
Target.Offset(0, 1).EntireColumn.Range("A1").Select
'Target.Offset(0, 1).EntireColumn.Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Offset(1,0).Select
End If
End Sub

Matlab GUI's managebuttons

I have to maintain a large MATLAB GUI, containing quite a few callback functions, each of which gets called at many points. At some point, I decided to rename one of the callbacks; in order not to have to go through GUIDE to manually modify each of the UI that calls it, I used the excellent gencode program to "unwrap" the .fig file, s/old_name/new_name/g, and recreate the .fig.
This seems to work well, except for one thing: when clicking on a button in a button group, I got a message telling me that the function manageButtons is unknown. After a bit of googling, I find that manageButtons is a nested function in childAddedCbk, which, I assume, is called by GUIDE as the GUI is created. Now, trying to move just manageButtons outside to its own, in-the-path file doesn't work either: the hgroup passed to it is an invalid handle object.
So... does anyone has a workaround for that? Any of the following will be appreciated:
changing all the callbacks in a GUI in a semi-automatic way, or
making the manageButtons get a valid handle, or
having gencode not break all that.
Thanks,
Antony
You can export the FIG + M file to single .m file. You will lose the ability to edit this with guide, but you will be able to do a simple regular expression replace on the resulting .m file.
In order to do so - use on the menu of GUIDE -> File -> Export.
